The patio door installer was very rude. The installers ripped off the hood of my vertical blinds, breaking the clips. When I asked if he would replace the hood, he said, "you can do that." No one said the blinds had to be removed before installation. I spent money and energy to replace the vertical blinds. The company sent me a discount for future work, but did not compensate me for what the installers damaged. read more

Horrible workmanship, customer service and reliability. I will start from the beginning, two years ago a purchased two sliding doors. I explained to the salesperson that I wanted them to look like my front door with brickmold and a threshold. He stated that they can do it exactly like my front door. well when they came to install it, there was not threshold nor brickmold installed. just a frame and doors. The installers scratched up my tiger wood floors and claimed they didn't do it, they were just dropping there tools on my floor and deck that I just rebuilt myself, and on door was installed crooked. After all this and constant complaining about multiple issues with the doors that ranged from screen door locking my out, and bugs getting in my home, it took them 2 YEARS to come out and try to correct the issues. When the technician came to my house yesterday they only gave him a work order for one door and not the other. When the person that measured my doors and sold them to me showed up he started giving me all these excuses. When I showed him the dead bugs in the inside track of the door he stated they can't stop bugs from coming in the house. Basically, they shouldn't be making doors. He told me there is nothing he can do about that. One of my screen doors is still will not lock because the technician just flipped it and said i have to push it up to lock it. The problem is the lock is loose so if you jiggle it the screen will unlock itself. I have 2 useless patio doors that do not stop bugs or lock correctly or look like I was promised. Now I have to make a decision about finding a screen door that will minimize the amount of bugs that come in my house or just get them replaced. This company need to stick to doing windows. I cannot even begin to describe my disdain of this company, even after having used them twice. Let me explain - I first used Thompson Creek back for the 2007/2008 timeframe in order to replace one of the windows in my condo, as well as an oversized sliding glass door that leads to my backyard. It took almost 9 months from the time the person showed up to my door to pitch me the job to the time installed was complete. 16 weeks of this was waiting for a particular type of paint to be painted onto my door. I must note, I could have gone to Lowes and gotten this paint and paint it myself. But that's not even the worst part- there were so many problems, and so many things wrong along the way, that I when I went to try to cancel my order, I was basically told that it was impossible. To their credit Thompson Creek did give me a credit on my account, but that's where the credit stops. About 6-7 months ago I got another call from Thompson Creek, asking me if I needed any work done on my house oh by the way they were giving away a free vacation to anyone who got an estimate. My husband and I had moved into an actual single family house, and were contemplating removing the sliding glass doors that were downstairs and putting in French doors with a dog door in them. For this job, - quote we have received from Lowes was slightly south of $5,000, and Home Depot with a slightly north of $4500. When I mentioned these two quotes of the Thompson Creek representative on the phone, I was assured that they could give us much better quality for approximately the same price. Additionally, I was also interested in replacing my front door, and they said they would give me an estimate on that as well. You probably read many reviews so far that say how pushy the Thompson Creek representatives are, and how rude many of them are on the phone. So having said that, I will not reinvent the wheel and explain that the exact same thing happened to me as well. I will however say that because I told them that I would probably not be the easiest sell, they sent out a woman who was supposedly "the best." To make a long story short, after a lot of haggling, and I'm talking over two hours worth of haggling, the quote for the back door came in right around the quotes from Home Depot and Lowes. However the front door was a completely different beast- Lowes quoted my front door at $6,000 installed, and I never got a quote from Home Depot. I am not making this up when I say that Thompson Creek quoted $23,000 for the front door (this was before taxes and install fees, btw-see the picture attached to this review). The look I gave the sales lady was hard to describe. I remember thinking $23,000 is a car, not a front door. She then began to harass me, saying that quality trumps cheap all the time and that this was an investment piece. My house is a $300,000 house, I am NOT spending 8-10% of the worth of my house on the front door. Either she genuinely did not understand why I did not want to spend $23,000 on a front door, or she genuinely thought that I could afford a $23,000 front door. Either way I felt like she was trying to bully me into something that I did not want. So after all that, we ended up going with them for French doors leading into my backyard. I wish I could say that the trauma ended there, but it only continually got worse. From here on out, my review is very much like other reviews here - no shows for measuring, the demand that both my husband and I be around at all times, improperly sealed doors (which by the way have never been fixed), and just downright rude construction site workers. I made a mistake once to hire them the first time, the second time was completely my naivete that the process would be better. Stay away from this company at all costs - Pela, Home Depot, Lowes, basically anyone has better customer service, and quite frankly better quality, than Thompson Creek. read more

UPDATE: * Since this review was written, we have been trying to get a quote for a specialized product that we can't have replaced by anyone else (we've tried!!) and we can't even get a quote on their service/product. We've called at least 4 times and have been told we'd have a quote by the end of business several times and received NOTHING. For 2 weeks!! So not only are their policies ridiculous (imo) but their customer service and scheduling is also bad. Fair warning to anyone considering their products- many other companies dimensions don't match theirs so you are stuck with dealing with them once you buy from them. * They have a lifetime warranty and guarantee their products BUT if you don't transfer the warranty within 30 days its voided, no exceptions. When we bought our house the sellers didn't tell us this only that they were guaranteed for life by Thompson creek. When we realized this, Thompson creek would not work with us. I understand they have their policy but if they really guaranteed their work (and require a full inspection anyway prior to transferring the warranty) you would think they'd work with their customers on fulfilling a "lifetime" warranty on windows that are only 1 year old. This seems like a money making scheme based on a technicality. We will go elsewhere for additional needs and will not be recommending this company to friends and family. read more

This summer we we replaced half the windows in our house with Thompson Creek Windows and WOW what a difference these new window have made. I was very impressed with the sales rep who made the initial call. His knowledge and no pressure approach was very appreciated. He worked hard to come up with a plan to accommodate our financial constraints. The windows were ready for installing in less time than originally quoted which was great. The team the did the installation was amazing. They worked efficiently cleaned up all the mess and were very considerate to take care of the inside of the house area they worked in. I had Thompson Creek replace all my windows, doors, siding, roof and gutters. It was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The salesman spent a lot of extra time answering my numerous questions about the materials, installation process,and potential energy savings. He even came out a second time when I decided to change one of the doors. The installation was quick and completed on schedule. This is not a review on their actual products because from what I have experienced thus far I WILL NOT be one of their customers. I get a knock on the late on a Friday evening. After 8:30PM and pitch black outside is late to me. A guy comes says hes in the neighborhood on behalf of his company and they will in the area in the upcoming days and want to provide estimates on windows. I advise most of my windows are done I only have 3 that are not... Not looking to purchase anything at this time. He goes on and on and on I say fine. someone can come to provide an estimate on the windows. I give him all my info and schedule an appointment. He then calls someone else who asks for everything I just provided and they confirm the appointment for the following week is scheduled. Days before my appointment I got calls to confirm. No problem its confirmed. Day of appointment ( Saturday) no one shows. At all. So at this point I'm feeling I completely wasted my time especially since they ask for at least 90 minutes of your time. I of course get a call Monday saying oh we apologize we missed you...but it the appointment went unconfirmed. I advised no I spoke with a woman days prior who confirmed it and asked again that there was no husband etc. The beg for me to schedule again. Stupidly, I did for two weeks later. Same thing happens. The calls came several time on that Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and today I answer and advise that I will not be scheduling another appointment. The guy I spoke with insists he can pull the records an see what went wrong. There is no need. A second chance shouldn't have been given and there will not be a third. I also thought it was very questionable that you close at a certain time yet send representatives out door to door very late in the evening. read more

*Update* - For the Thompson Creek Rep who responded to my review, trying to substantiate their absurd prices, and also to the rep I spoke to who claimed that any cheaper company is giving us Inferior Products, and that we were wasting our money. We went with a contractor that quoted us about $2,500 for our windows needs. Those windows were gorgeous, functioned perfectly, and made an immediate difference on our power bills. After years of our new windows working flawlessly, when we finally went to sell the house at the end of last year, the new windows were actually a Major Buying point, that helped us recoup ALL of the money we spent on them, via better Home Sale Price. So in the end, I feel good about our decision to disregard the nonsense Thompson Creek's rude reps gave us, and to go with someone more reasonably priced. read more

I thought they would try to redeem themselves, but they just can't seem to muster any kind of service professionalism at all. I sit waiting for them to show up for a "between 8 & 12appointment" and when the time passed I called and was put on hold for 15 minutes"while I check" before I hung up. You would think they would tell the installer to call the next client if they were running late, but no. After my first review someone from the company told me to get in touch, but nobody ever followed through. Just another Thompson Creek empty promise. Undeserving of even 1 star. Absolutely horrible experience with this "company". They upsell by tens of thousands, scamming the consumer into thinking they're getting a real "deal". The whole, "We're having a huge sale, B1G1 40% off!" is total bs. The pushy sales guy originally quoted me $28k for 11 windows, before the "discounts". It was insulting that he honestly thought I would believe that. I had my male friend there with me during his sales pitch, and I guess because I'm a woman, he directed it towards the male friend; not me. The paperwork even states the friend's name, who is in no way paying for anything, but the sales guy assumed because he's a man, and I'm a woman, it was best to direct all the paperwork and money-related things to him. My female brain couldn't possibly handle all that manly-related stuff, like money and windows, I guess. Even follow-up emails and such were addressed to him; not me. (And yes, I corrected them numerous times.) They never once EVER provided an itemized receipt to me. I was paying close to $20 grand for 11 windows and a small sliding glass door (that they charged me $4,100 for, over the maximum average cost), and I have to ASK for an itemized receipt to fully understand what I'm actually being charged??? What kind of business doesn't automatically provide such a normal, expected thing? Oh, Thompson Creek does. The receipt (again, that months later I JUST received) says, "ORIEL STYLE? YES", windows and the sales guy never once mentioned anything about that. It's an additional cost, of course, one that I wouldn't have agreed to because it's not necessary. Such incredibly shady business practices, essentially forcing customers to ASK for an actual receipt of what they paid for, only to be told it would take 24-48 hours to receive it? (Literally, their CS told me it would take that long to receive the itemized receipt....) They have no qualms with taking your money, immediately, but fail to provide the most basic documents to customers. Long story short, I felt increasingly uncomfortable with spending $20,000, as I'm a single mom with one reduced income, and that's a huge, huge amount of money to me. I just can't afford it. I had two quotes, one very comparable to TC windows, for half the price. So I contacted their customer service coordinator, Sydney, who told me if I wanted to cancel, I would flat out lose the $6,400 deposit, and they would only give me a very, very small portion of that, $2,540.63. No compromise at all, to honor the $6,400, and apply it to windows, but I would just lose that money. Sorry, not sorry. I had no idea when I was rushed by the sales guy to sign a million papers that I was agreeing to not receiving a refund if I changed my mind. I never in a million years would have agreed to that. Meaning, Thompson Creek profits off of customers and pockets $3,860. So many problems with this---The fact that my contracts weren't in my name (again, after I informed them of their misogynistic mistake), discrepancies with the installation date from what the sales guy scheduled (did he even schedule it?), then having the measurement guy schedule me for 2 month later (and his measurements were off from the sales guy substantially), not having any knowledge of the "you're agreeing to give us free money" in the papers I signed (again, by the greedy and pushy salesman), never once receiving a full, itemized receipt. I cannot even fathom having a customer spend nearly twenty THOUSAND dollars and not providing this. I'm disheartened that $3,800 is just gone, and Thompson Creek does not care at all. I met with the salesman from this company and we agreed upon price for the work I needed. The sales person spent some time entering data etc into his small iPad and then he turns it around and ask me please sign here here and here. I told him I signed nothing without reading it and their contract was 3 pages long single-spaced edge-to-edge on the paper with a paragraph denying the consumer there protection. First you have to sign a waiver of your right to take the vendor to court if anything is wrong. However the vendor maintains the right to take you to court if you don't pay. There's also a clause that says the company doesn't really expect you too have a firm completion date for the installation. according to them they'll try and do it as timely as possible but if they don't no big deal. Not lastly, there's a clause that says when the vendor is somewhat done as in you can live in the room but the windows are not completed but almost completed, you are required to pay in full. given the volume of bed reviews elsewhere on the internet I would stay away from this company. This review is based on the sales process not the product. I liked the product; however, i do not like the practice of "incentive selling" which equals high pressure. I NEVER buy ANY product where the price changes if you don't make up your mind that day. If a product is worth buying you will buy it whether it is that day or the next week. Also the changing price was another concern- which went down to a 40% discount during the process. One thing I liked about a competitor is they left a pre-printed price list. Everyone got the same price it wasn't about how you negotiated the price. You also didn't have to decide that day. I sure wish i had read Yelp before having the sales person come to my home. I thought I was getting a price quote that would be good for a year. Does $16K sound like a good price for a front door? That is my one-year locked in price. read more

Do not use Thompson Creek!!! They obviously do not care about taking care of their clients. We had a roof installed and then just over a year later birds started getting into our attic. Went into attic to find that fascia board that meets the roof line had come down in one corner. Customer service rep manager Amanda kept insisting they did not replace the fascia or gutter so therefore it was not their fault. All we wanted was someone to come back to the house and re-secure the fascia board that was hanging down allowing birds to enter. It's reckless for a company to install a roof and not make sure anything in direct contact to that roof is not secured properly. How they think slamming nail guns to install the roof shingles near a fascia board would not directly impact how that fascia board holds is beyond me. Wish I could rate a zero. Called to get an estimate. I own the home, but it seems this company thinks a woman couldn't possibly be a home owner, as I was asked three times if there was a "mr" while trying to set appointment time. First strike! Salesman showed up about 10 minutes late, and couldn't figure out how to open the dog gate on the front porch. Emmmm, okay, not mechanically inclined, eh? The first questions I asked were Does Thompson manufacture what they sell? And most importantly, does Thompson sub out the installation? He tells me yes, they are the manufacturer and NO. they use their own employees for installers. Okay, I say. You may pitch me. Well, 2 hours later after some math magic, a contract is created. But I ask about the discount for the free installation and the salesman could not provide a cost per window for installation costs on the price of the window. Say what? Second strike......how does a consumer know if the installation costs have been deducted? Then while reading these pages of contract docs, I go to the extra conditions page as noted in the teeny tiny font on page 2. Behold, there are exclusions regarding the subcontractors liability. SAY WHAT??? Subcontractors? So I ask about this, and I am told Thompson manages their 54 install teams. Again I ask, are they Thompson employees or 1099? I am informed that a 1099 employee is a Thompson managed employee. I am being schooled by someone who doesn't understand 1099 vs employee. Sub vs actual payroll employee is a foreign subject for him. I am a 1099, and I am not managed by my clients..... STRIKE THREE! Needless to say, I didn't purchase from Thompson. Lessons learned from other botched home improvements kept me from suffering with another sub installation. Hmmm, you say the foremans Uncle died and he can't make it to my job site tomorrow? Hmm, you say the team went fishing today because rock season opened and it's such a great day to be out on a boat? But don't worry, we can reschedule your job, give us 3 weeks to get out to you as the teams that install in your zip code are booked solid due to the great sales we are offering. I had a sliding door for my patio installed 9 yrs ago. In June 2022 suddenly I heard a crack in my door and in a few hours the glass pane shattered into pieces all over the floor. I called the warranty department of Thompson Creek. They said that they will send someone within two days. The technician came in and took pictures and measurements of the door. I contacted Thompson Creek regarding the Status of my door. I was told that since my door was not made by Thompson creek they cannot do anything about it. Also that company went out of business so at this point they cannot do anything. On the contract it says that their products are covered for 50 years and if you sell the house it is transferable to the new owner For fixing the door it will cost another $900 Now I am stuck with a damaged door with glass pieces all over the floor .I have a tarp on the door but still when the glass cracks it shatters pieces all over the floor. I cannot use my patio door so I am stuck with it This is unacceptable. read more

I scheduled an appointment for Thompson Creek to come out and look at my bathroom, to give me a free estimate on how much it would cost to remodel it. They claim to be much more than just a "window company." When I made the appointment, they asked me a bunch of personal questions that later seemed very odd (as they weren't questions that needed to be asked). On the morning of the appointment, they never bothered to show. Hours later, I called and asked what happened. The woman ("Trinity") lied and alleged that they had called me 3 different times and left 3 different voicemals to "confirm" the appointment, none of which ever happened. I spoke to a manager named "Dionis," which like "Trinity," I seriously doubt is his actual name. He denied everything I was saying and insisted that they did leave me "3 voicemals," which I told him never happened. He was a total prick to me over the phone and also couldn't explain why this "company" uses several different phone numbers (both 240 and 301 area codes). Today is August 20th, 2018. Thompson creek told me they will be at my home between the hours of 8am and 10am. I and writing this at 11am, they're a no show. Thompson creek have not reached out to me re: being late. I trying to call at 10am and I am still on the phone waiting for someone to pickup, it's now 11:04am; waiting for over an hour on the phone. I worked out a way to replace a few more windows, but with this tardiness on thompson creek's part, I will find another company to replace the other windows. Well they finally answered the phone; I was told they will be checking with the crew to find out what the ETA will be. SMH. I guess "GOOD HELP IS HARD TO FIND", or should I say " Good Service " I am being held HOSTAGE!!!!! ps. I hope their work will not be as their tardiness. Update at 11:45am. Thompson Creek called and left the following msg. " we have a scheduling error and we will not be coming out to today for the install". WHAT THA!!!!!, I should call for a reschedule after they wasted my morning, told my G/daughter I wasn't able to take her to camp due to this install. SMH, so disappointed with this company already and he work has not even started. UPDATE: Thompson Creek came today 8/21/18 at 7:30am, schedule was for 10:00am. My wife was home good thing. Anyways, 3 guys came, very polite and worked non stop until the window was installed. I have to say they vindicated themselves. I may give them another chance to install he rest of the windows. These guys cleaned up very well, I was impressed with outcome of the work. Very good job, so I am changing my rating to 4 stars. I would have given them 5 but they still have an issue with timing. My wife and I have used Thompson Creek for over 10 years. Service and Quality Control have definitely changed since 2012. The latest is that Thompson Creek installed three windows almost two years ago. Last summer I noticed that the window appeared to have no insulation since it there was substantial condensation during the summer months. I called Thompson Creek and talked to a representative at a local home show. No call back. Finally, at a more recent home show, someone called the office and I eventually got a usual phone response. Took more than one call though. Finally came out to replace the window this week, as scheduled. However, they brought the wrong window. Even though it was their own design and model, they sent a different window which didn't match the original nor the adjacent windows. Pathetic quality control! Philip M. read more

We got a whole makeover. We did windows, siding, gutters, soffits and some vinyl wrapping done. Huge project. We couldn't be happier. We did the project in stages so we had three different crews. First windows. 21 total. The crew was so respectful of our home. They covered areas when they were concerned there would be a big mess. They cleaned up behind themselves and gave great effort. Extremely friendly and happy. They completed in one day!! Next siding, soffitt and wrap. This took several days. Taking off our old aluminum siding was the messiness part, and cutting the Styrofoam insulation. It was a windy day so I chased Styrofoam so it wouldn't go in my neighbors yard. They did a phenomenal job! Its so perfect! Again, this crew was very friendly and cleaned up well. We did find some nails but I think it would be impossible for them to find them all. They took time cutting in our soffit lighting. Perfect. Last was gutters. These guys were great. They were quick and helped us place them more appropriately. Downspout that goes in the ground has easy clean out traps. Super pleased. All in all I am so glad we went with Thompson Creek. Price and quality superb. Windows are made by them. Gutters with leaf coverings, as well. Each item has a 50 year warranty. We could not be happier. Office staff always pleasant. read more

My elderly mother ordered a walk in shower. Installation was a few months from when she purchased it. When they finally showed up, they did not complete the job. The shower head and bar is still at her house waiting to be installed since the end of August, it's now November. We have called weekly, left messages, sent emails, last correspondence from them was a month ago. No one has bothered to show up to finish the job or give a status. They cannot finish projects they have started, but yet they keep advertising for new jobs to do. Customer service is horrible!! Do not buy a shower from them, they will leave you with a product you cannot use. Rated 1 star because zero is not available. read more

Their customer services is awful. They do not call back ever. I have called them to follow up numerous times and still no response. I have escalated and asked to speak to mgmt, but they are always unavailable. I spoke to a mgr one time, and she was to call me back with info, the next business day. I still have not heard back from anyone. They just have my project mgr call and she does not have any info and is not empowered to make any decisions. Their product is actually good, but it is a shame that I will not use them again, due to their poor customer service. I have also discouraged neighbors from using them. I understand that a lot of reviews tend to skew negative, as most people generally don't bother to take time out of their day to write positive reviews. That said, I was shocked to see just how poor Thompson Creek's reviews were until I experienced their service first hand. Had I done better due diligence, I may have gone a different route... I didn't, however, so here we are. My windows were installed by Thompson Creek in Oct. 2020 (less than five months ago). While opening one of them, I heard a click and, though it was odd, didn't think much of it until I tried closing the same window a little while later and found it very difficult to do so. Opening it back up revealed a plastic mechanism which is very apparent belongs within the window assembly (and not sitting at bottom of the frame like I saw it). As is, that window takes a lot of effort (and the potential risk of breaking it further) just to open and close. So it sits closed permanently until it can be repaired. But y'know what? It's no big deal. Even the best products in the world occasionally experience a technical issue. So I called Thompson Creek, fully expecting that they'd honor their "Lifetime Warranty" just five months after the repair. The service coordinator took my claim and asked for a photo of the broken part, which I sent over in minutes. Fast forward six days and...nothing. Not a peep. I sent a follow-up email which was equally ignored and had to call several times on Day SEVEN before I actually spoke to someone on the service side (an entirely different person from whomever asked for the photo, mind). They were apologetic, didn't know why no one had contacted me (no one ever knows, of course; mystery of the universe), and deigned to give me "the first opening on the service schedule" which...is OVER A MONTH from now. Needless to say, I wasn't pleased, but was told they'd attempt to get me on the schedule earlier if an opening came up. Let's just say I'm not holding my breath to be prioritized over shiny, new installs to get a free repair, especially when it's clear the company has been treating my claim like it has a venereal infection. Thompson Creek was singularly our worst contractor experience in 11 years of home ownership. It began with a Sales Representative who advised us that Thompson Creek does not use subcontract labor. We soon learned that their business model is based on subcontract labor. Hmm. That misrepresentation would have been overlooked, except that the subcontractor installed gutters six inches off our roof-line! For a layman like myself, during a rainstorm, gutters improperly installed 6 inches away from the roof line means that rainwater falls thru the 6 inch gap, in-between our roof line and our new gutter system, effectively rendering our new gutter system useless. That is not poor workmanship, it is incompetence. Next, we learned that the subcontractor did not install a valley guard. The subcontractor did NOT lower his labor invoice to reflect that he did not perform the labor. I am sure this next fact will also be shocking, but the subcontractor also did NOT lower our materials invoice by the corresponding value of the valley guard that he did not install. According to Thompson Creek, the valley guard was placed on the subcontractor's truck. If the subcontractor did not install the valley guard (+) if the subcontractor allegedly drove away with the valley guard on his truck instead of installing the valley guard on our roof, isn't that theft? Whatever the definition of theft, we paid for material and labor for a valley guard and it was not installed. As previously mentioned, the subcontractor's workmanship was so shoddy, we contacted Thompson Creek regarding the horribly installed downspouts. Through sheer amazing luck, Thompson Creek sent an employee ~ not a subcontractor ~ to respond to our request that the downspouts be re-installed. That employee, Norman, identified the shoddiness of the ENTIRE installation. After a total of 3 additional visits and through great consternation, we feel that Norman corrected all that the subcontractor made worse. However, if not for Norman, our Thompson Creek gutters would have been worse than what we had before. There were two other project managers who did not assist us. Our entire outcome was based on one employee. If I were a little old lady, Thompson Creek would have gotten away with installing ineffectual gutters and overcharging for labor and materials. read more

Thompson creek should get 10 stars for sales pitch. And -10 for integrity and customer service. We definitely got suckered. Maybe our 3 door installation project was not big enough or expensive enough for them. Started dealing with them since last week of May 2019. After talking to a sales rep, we scheduled and Had a meeting with a project manager to correctly measure and adjust the payment that we agreed to and charged us around 400 more dolars on top of thousands already, which was fair as we were warned..Had to wait for installation on July 25,. We were so excited and we patiently waited. we get a call the day before of installation on July 24 and project manager calls us and said that a certain part that we wanted will not work. This is supposed to be a custom made door lock feature.. so i dont get why it wont , coz we were presented this feature..so how ill it not work. Spoke to that same project manager that measured, he said that its the same price even after we are now just going to get a standard part. So ok.. whatever at this point.. coz we still want the project done.. as long as the door serves its purpose.. he offers to come and explain and show us dummies what we dont understand because he wants to make sure we get what we wanted)So we had to schedule a meeting with him too (waited 5 more days )He shows up today. Basically calls people infront of us on the phone and orders parts and make everything work so we can get what we need in the first place.. (NICE GUY BUT AT THIS POINT ITS HARD TO TRUST ANYONE WORKING FOR THIS COMPANY )so i will ignore the fact why he is doing this transaction infront of me, and the question why didnt he do this yesterday or maybe 2 mos ago.. so a few minutes later after this guy leaves a project coordinator calls us and tries to schedule our 2 doors and 1 storm door install and tells us they cant get us in till late september.. oh man.. so no.. now i am dealing with a cancellation and refunding our money.. so good luck to me.. ive already been passed onto voicemails 3 times .. the voicemails are so unprofessional i dont even know who i am leaving a message to coz its a beep..DONT FALL FOR THE 5 star rating crap that they will feed u. We ate it all up and already started thinkin about getting windows from them.. but no thanks UPDATE!!! finally got a hold of somebody.. they said they can only do 80% refund of the contract price.. not the down payment.. but the contract price.. they understand the frustration of them causing the delay.. but thats part of the contract. So i guess we are stuck with these HONEST people.. who are willing to take hard earned money from people for technicalities. Is this even legal? Wth! They are viscious. Im scared of the thought that we now have to deal with them for the rest of our stay in our current home that im contemplating takin a hit and let them just take our money for nothing.... this is sad.. i just hope that the doors will be done correctly. ..Dont be like us.. shop research and dont be fooled by these scam artists. read more

Thompson Creek Review I would not buy replacement windows from Thompson Creek EVER again and this is not due to the quality of the windows but the beyond horrible customer service if there is ever a problem. This is a company that advertises all of the windows made are custom for your home at their local manufacturing plant. Additionally ours came with a lifetime warranty. Why has it taken almost three years, countless phone calls, long hold times, techs not showing up for scheduled appointments to have a replacement screen for our sliding glass door and a screen window re-screened because a bird pecked a hole in it? By the way we did pay for these items to be replaced/repaired. We finally got the new slider screen door after two years and as of yet have no screen on our bedroom window! They did not even start to work on replacing the screen for the window until the first of this year. The technician tried to re-screen the window frame at our home but had an issue and took it back to the warehouse to be re-screened. It is now almost the end of August and we still have no replacement bedroom window screen. I have lost count how many times we have called customer service about this on-going issue. When I finally get through to someone, the service coordinator promises a call back but that rarely happens. Since these windows were custom made for our home by Thompson Creek we need the replacement screen back from them. If Thompson Creek can't solve a simple problem like ours what happens if there are more complicated issues? We are beyond DISSATISFIED with Thompson Creek Window Company! read more

The folks that work for this company are very nice though hard to schedule a repair and inconsistent with service; very frustrating.

I do not recommend this company, we have had nothing but problems. Wish I could even speak to the quality of the windows, but we have been waiting a longgg time to find out. We signed a contract in January for six replacement picture windows, were told it would take 6 weeks and assured that TC was unaffected by broader supply chain issues. Every TV commercial they air, even now, claims the same thing. Lies -- Install has been pushed back at least 5 times now (entirely their doing), with the next 'date' now set to September. I'm not holding my breath. Meanwhile, I can't get anyone on the phone, was told 'a manager would call after the install in September' and I could discuss it then....??? After you've taken my money and I've no recourse? Not helpful. A lot of lip service, not much follow through. If your project is of a more urgent variety, I would look elsewhere. read more

Product is excellent, as was installation. Service after the sale is extremely poor. They are very difficult, at best, to reach by phone. Count on hold times over an hour. Callback request can take days. read more
