Mirror ordered from this company (Old Line Glass & Mirror) arrived broken. Subsequently, the business refused to refund my deposit.

This review encompasses the whole. Very professional, responsive, and punctual service. Very reasonably priced. We bid the initial work to several companies with vide variance in price. Not the cheapest quote, but that's ok... We have gone that route in the past and it turns out worse than before and that money is wasted and a big hassle. You get what you pay for. Also not the most expensive. There was no gouging happening here - very fair. Also, we are moving and needed some additional timely help painting a few rooms quickly. LLF worked with us to get us on the schedule. Thank you! Lionel went above and beyond. For example, he was helping us fix some siding and self-identified another panel that needed an adjustment. While not on the contract, he hopped up on a ladder (in the heat after completing eveything else mind you) and put some complimentary nails in it. Great sense of humor and extremely personable. We have lived in Maryland for 10 years after purchasing a foreclosed home in need of some love. Some of that we never got around to or frankly didn't have the skills to fix. We're sad that we didn't find LLF sooner. If we were staying in Maryland we would probably exclusively use this company for those tasks that you either lack time or skills. Thanks LLF!

I really appreciate the quality of his work and how effectively he communicates. He was responsive, professional, and got the repairs done efficiently. His pricing is also very reasonable. There is now a trip charge, which is something to be aware of, but overall I still feel the service provides very good value. I'm very happy with the work and would definitely recommend Johnathan to anyone looking for a reliable handyman. I'll be happy to contact him again for future repairs!

Then there was an issue when he turned something off in messages on his phone and said he didn't get days of messages from me, leading to a second no-call, no-show. He told me he had reached back out to other clients, I asked him why he didn't do that with me. He just said I had a fair point. He took absolutely no responsibility for anything, you know one of those guys who is constantly screwing up but nothing is ever his fault? He often told me how great of a communicator he is, while not communicating with me at all. I was fed up by now and cancelled anything I hadn't already paid for. It's now been a month since he was supposed to cut a screen for me, that I already paid for, and I'm sure I'll never see that. He's totally unserious, unreliable, untrustworthy, and unbelievably slow, if not vindictive in not following through on a pre-paid job for someone who doesn't want to work with him. There's much better out there!!!

I've honestly lost track of how many times I've used Flatpack Assembly - I think I'm up to FOUR…read more Carlos and his team always go the extra mile with assembly and installations. I was especially impressed on the most recent project that included mounting of a digital photo frame. Carlos simply "wasn't having it" to mount the frame with the electrical cord showing! He expertly drilled holes and snaked the cord through the inside of the wall and back out just above the electrical outlet for an amazingly clean look. He had the finishing caps to cover the entry and exit holes too. Carlos and the crew also took a very personal interest in mounting my career memorabilia (22 plaques and awards!) beautifully in my home office. And they are undaunted by "oddball" stuff like mounting clips for a tapestry in my media room to cover unsightly electrical panels. Their excellence starts with the manager Marc who gathers a LOT of information from you (pictures, model numbers, installation videos, etc.) so that the crew arrives fully prepared. Not only are their prices very competitive, but Flatpack offers a flat RATE quote so that the crew stays until the job is completed. I'm very pleased to have found this amazing company.

Updating review on this inconsistent company. After a great first experience, I hired them a 2nd…read moretime. Completely different story. They do not stand by their work. Everyone makes mistakes, (I had specifically requested 6 brackets be installed; was told that was overkill, 4 would be plenty; it wasn't) but you communicate with your customers and you fix them. This company was interested in doing neither. Within two days of completion, the shelves they built came crashing down, inflicting further damage on my wall, closet, and adjacent mirror that was knocked off. Of course, I reached out immediately, asking that someone come back to make the necessary repairs. (Mind you: I couldn't even access my closet during this time without making it worse, nor could I move my dresser to plug back in my nightstand light, which had been knocked out in the crash as well.) It took a week to even get a response, which was basically "Oh, I didn't see your email." (Note: Their full page invoice does not include company phone number on it, so I assumed email was their preferred contact. I'm sorry you were out of the office, but maybe your business could set an auto-response email at the very least?! And maybe when you return, check your in-box?? Or better yet, follow up to assess client satisfaction after project completion?) Marc informed me that he wanted the same worker to come out and handle the repair, but that he was out of town and would reach out to schedule me by Friday of that week. I asked that he respond by phone or text (wanting to get this resolved quickly). He didn't listen, and instead emailed again, declining my request to please just send whatever worker was available sooner. I followed up a week after that, only to understand I'd been forgotten about again. I tried a third time. Three weeks later (it has now been a month since shelves fell) --nothing!!! I gave up and had to hire another company to come fix everything, paying them to undo the job I paid Flatpack for, AND repair (i.e., remove damaged metal strip along closet, mud and tape drywall, re-paint after re-hanging shelves securely) the further damage they caused. Completely unprofessional company management. Lesson learned. I had at least three more days of work for these guys ready to go, but would never hire them again. If you want to feel unvalued as a customer by a company that doesn't stand by its work, this is the one.

The response was quick but the job was rushed, and it turned out far less than expected. To make things worst, Maher damaged my bedroom ceiling during the repair and has yet to return to make good on his promise to fix it. RESPONSE TO MAHER AT ALHUMAYER HANDYMAN SERVICES: Maher, we contacted you for an estimate. We did not HIRE you to do the jobs, which you could not do when we needed the work done for the sale of our property. We requested your insurance information after you failed to show up for two promised appointments to fix the ceiling -- AFTER YOUR COVID CLAIM. All contractors, including handymen, LICENSED and INSURED in the State of Maryland, are REQUIRED to provide their insurance information when they cause damage to a home. You refused. The damage is exactly where you worked in the attic. Had you come out to see you would not argue otherwise. According to the State of Maryland, you are not licensed and insured to conduct business in our state. If so, provide your legal name and legal business name on record with the State of Maryland. You were paid 75% because you did a poor job with the rafter and promised to return to make the adjustment, which you never did. Secondly, upon return from out of town, we discovered the ceiling damage, in the area where you replaced the rafter. Sad that you would rather argue the matter on Yelp than contact us to resolve the issue. You are being unprofessional and difficult.
