To make things worst, Maher damaged my bedroom ceiling during the repair and has yet to return to make good on his promise to fix it. RESPONSE TO MAHER AT ALHUMAYER HANDYMAN SERVICES: Maher, we contacted you for an estimate. We did not HIRE you to do the jobs, which you could not do when we needed the work done for the sale of our property. We requested your insurance information after you failed to show up for two promised appointments to fix the ceiling -- AFTER YOUR COVID CLAIM. All contractors, including handymen, LICENSED and INSURED in the State of Maryland, are REQUIRED to provide their insurance information when they cause damage to a home. You refused. The damage is exactly where you worked in the attic. Had you come out to see you would not argue otherwise. According to the State of Maryland, you are not licensed and insured to conduct business in our state. If so, provide your legal name and legal business name on record with the State of Maryland. You were paid 75% because you did a poor job with the rafter and promised to return to make the adjustment, which you never did. Secondly, upon return from out of town, we discovered the ceiling damage, in the area where you replaced the rafter. Sad that you would rather argue the matter on Yelp than contact us to resolve the issue. You are being unprofessional and difficult.

He has since done other tasks such as TV mounting, garbage disposal replacement, fixing faulty lighting and fixing my front door, which included repairing the threshold, holes around the trim and creaking, installing a door handle, replacing the weather strip and painting. My goal for home repair is that I do not want it to look like I have had work done, meaning I have no tolerance for shoddy patchwork. My needs were met here.
