Honestly amazed at the quality of experience we had with Thollot. We got engaged at New Years with a placeholder ring, there was a family diamond my fiancee wanted to use to do a custom. After some research she found Thollot as a highly rated place that would do customs with a self-provided diamond. So up the road to Thornton we went! From the very start they were awesome. They worked with us to design something custom, never once pushed us to purchase anything we didn't want or need, and were very up front about the fact that we could do as many iterations as we wanted while we ironed out the details. We started by showing some examples and they did some sketches and some mockups. They communicated via email and text when they had some examples; and sent images and 3d models of the ring design. We went through a few iterations and they were so patient and up front about the fact that we could do a ton of iterations if we wanted. It was really nice to know that we could continue to tweak until we got it right. Once we saw a model that looked right they made a 3d print out of plastic for us to go up and check out. We did that a couple times after a few tweaks and at that point once we were sure of the design, they told us we could also cast the ring ourselves! So we paid our 50% deposit and a couple weeks later went back up to do the actual ring casting. They walk you through the process and they guide you through melting the gold and casting it into the mold. It's truly a unique and one of a kind process, and there's basically nowhere else in the metro area that lets you do it. Quite a memorable moment and we got lots of pictures and it was just really fun experience. They also have a bar in the shop, which is kind of fun, and so every time we go up we usually have a little glass of scotch after and shoot the breeze with staff or just talk about things while we sip. It's really nice! A couple weeks after casting they told us it was ready and we went up to pick it up and pay the remaining balance. They provided us with an appraisal for insurance, and walked us through being able to come back any time for re-sizing. We left completely satisfied, and we'll be working with them for wedding bands as well. Honestly cannot recommend Thollot enough. It was an amazing experience, prices were great, staff was phenomenal, and the whisky was a nice touch too. I made an appointment to check out some damage that had been caused to two rings, given to me by my husband. One was an anniversary band with diamonds, and the other a family ring. My husband had them made for me, but not at Thollots, and I wanted to make sure that I wasn't making a mistake returning to the original designer. I also wanted an opinion about restoring my grandmothers ring. Not only did he reinforce the reputation of the original jeweler, he recommended I go back. He cleaned my engagement ring for free too! Sadly, I won't be able to restore my grandmothers ring for a variety of reasons, but through my tears he offered a wonderful alternative that will allow me to honor my grandmother, and pass along the stories and ring onto my children going forward. I am halfway through a custom wedding band set design (using heirloom jewelry to create something new) but here is what I know: Sarah was creative and insightful in helping me with the original design. She kept me informed and followed through with the things she said she was going to do. Annie, was incredibly helpful, able to answer all of my questions, give me options, ideas, and suggestions and made me feel so at ease with the process. I have not met Lindsey but is clearly a great part of the team because she helped the designs come to life with the 3-D models. This place is so clean, so welcoming, and so on top of things. I was visiting a friend and wanted to find a ring that matched my late service dog's eyes as a memorial. I was upfront about my budget, which was quite small, and showed them a picture. They brought out four trays(!!) of gemstones to go through, and didn't rush me at ALL as I tried to decide which one to go with, or try to upsell me on a bigger or more precious stone. I ended up going with a pear-shaped citrine in a sterling silver setting, and paid about $350. An update to my previous review. After my fiancee' began exhibiting some rather odd behavior that worsened as the big day approached, I ended up calling off the engagement two weeks prior to the wedding. Troy graciously bought my ring back at a fair price and handled the whole situation very professionally. I'm thankful I did, because three years later through a series of divine circumstances I met a beautiful lady whose values and interest match mine in every way. Thollot is the epitome of customer service. They have gone far beyond to ensure that we were taken care of. Although we're currently living in California, we have a relationship with Thollot and I chose to special order a ring as a gift to my wife for our first anniversary. We were going to Catalina Island to celebrate, so we needed the ring within a specific timeline. The order and shipping specifics were all handled easily over the phone. Then there was a bit of a snag... The vendor whom was to deliver the ring to Thollot dropped the ball. Although they had a couple of weeks to complete the order, they ended up having to overnight ship the ring to Thollot. Then Thollot had to overnight ship to me in CA. As Murphy's Law would have it, the shipment didn't show up and was delayed...as the day we were to be leaving to Catalina came around, the shipment was nowhere to be found. The team at Thollot worked on tracking the shipment, and also created a contingency plan. The original order was delivered too late. Here's where it just gets unbelievable - Troy had a custom ring made by a jeweler in Dana Point where we were going to catch the ferry to the island. I dropped my wife off to check in, while I parked the car and picked up the ring. Amazing! As if that weren't enough, when we arrived to our hotel in Avalon, a card and sparkling wine from Thollot awaited. I'd expect that this sale was a total loss financially, however Thollot has solidified themselves with a lifelong customer. Once we landed on the right design, they sent me countless CAD drawings. (A super fun 3D rendering of your design). They just kept re-working it until i was happy. They even provided me multiple options to consider. They left no stone un-turned and made sure I knew ALL of my options and every price point to consider. Once we landed on a final design, we made a wax mold, and then we sent it off to be made! The turnaround time from design to in-hand was quick and the process was smooth! They made the process SO incredibly easy, comfortable, fun and enjoyable! Every last person who works there is knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming, kind and truly talented. The team at Thollot could not be better. Every time I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles, offered a glass of wine, and everyone knew my name. This establishment clearly cares more for an on-time closing, than ensuring every last customer is helped. On two separate occasions it was made very clear to me I must leave right when they closed. I looked past the first occurrence when I was picking up a repair. While at work i received a text mid-afternoon that my repair was ready. I was working south of downtown, and decided I'd try to make it before the 6pm closing time, but given Denver traffic i was doubtful. I ended up arriving at 5:55pm and knowing I just had a repair to pick up, I was not worried about facing negativity about walking in so close to closing time. Upon walking in the staff looked as though they were witnessing a tragedy. I was not greeted, but rather just stared at from all of them as if they were in awe they were witnessing someone who may be delaying their closing time. That quickly turned to relief when they realized i was just there to pick up a repair. As stated above, I overlooked it as a one-off. The next time we were dropping off another repair this time around 4:30 and this day was a closing time of 5pm. The repair evaluation took longer than expected, and we weren't finished until 4:55. I have had my eye on a ring in the center of the store, and have been contemplating making the purchase. As we walked out, I pointed it out to my husband, and expressed interest in trying it on. Before I could even look to find someone to open the case, an aggressive guy approached and abruptly said "it's closing time, and you're leaving, right?" He witnessed my interest in the ring, and also was within earshot of hearing me express my interest in it. We were almost in shock that we were being ushered out so aggressively and ended up leaving. Right at 5pm. I'm happy they successfully closed on time, but they lost that particular sale, and any future business from us. I fully understand that we all want the workday to end, and go home to our personal lives. That said, it's also an understanding that sometimes business will overlap an intended closing time in the service industry. That goes for restaurants, retail stores, and other sales businesses. It's unfortunately part of the industry. Had I been allowed to remain in the store and purchase that ring, they would have left a little later, and retained a loyal customer. read more

Told him (of course) he could buy a new ring or demolish mine and make it into earrings or a necklace. This jeweler has recently moved to 104th and Colorado across from the Albertsons. I have come here often to get watch batteries replaced, bands repaired and also have sold some gold. However, they have a wonderful selection of fine diamonds and jewelry. Recently, my husband shattered the crystal to his watch.
