I told Kaeligh that I wanted a station necklace with kite shaped mountings and a claw clasp. She immediately knew what I wanted and gave me a great price. For my 10-year wedding anniversary, I went to The Diamond Reserve and worked with Jillian. I designed a basic 3-stone ring. (for my 3 kids) I chose a diamond that was larger than I wanted to go but was trying to picture it in the setting. Jillian was only able to hold the diamond over my finger for me to get an idea. I was hesitant about the size but excited, and we moved forward. I received a 3D rendering and was warned it was extremely magnified (10x) of a small object, making the metal weight appear thicker than it is actually. (their words to me) So I assumed it would seem "softer" once I got the actual ring. I received the ring in the mail on October 7 and notified the store within an hour of seeing the final product. The ring is beautiful, but the center stone is too large. On their website, it states if you notify them within 7 days they can work with you. I was told since mine was a custom design it was as is. I was freaking out because this was an almost $8k purchase. They would not work with me at all. I even asked if they would take the center stone back so I could get a smaller one and they said no. I never asked for money back or anything. I am still shocked from a business perspective that they were not willing to do anything to help. They finally came back after 8 emails of saying no and essentially told me I could start over and get no money for what I already paid. 4 days later I went to Diamond Source Jewelers and the owner was surprised as well. He was able to cut out the center stone (The Diamond Reserve said that was not possible) and we are putting in a small stone. I highly recommend going to see Bruce at Diamond Source Jewelers for a seamless experience from start to finish. He genuinely wants his clients happy and works with them. Beyond grateful to him! I entered working with Diamond Reserve (DR) excited to have found a quality local custom jeweler that is female owned. The person we met with was caring & confident they could help me create a new engagement ring. I didn't have an exact design in mind, so knew I needed help in that area. The only thing I knew was that I wanted a halo in some form that sat flush to the center stone. I was promised that this was all achievable. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a lie that took 6 month of back and forth before i got a clear enough answer to actually cut my loses & walk away. During this time, Erin was always friendly but never actually took initiative in helping to create any designs; the promise of which was a large reason we chose DR to begin with. Each round went as follows: I would scour the internet to come up with a new idea & present it to Erin -- I would be told this was great and should totally work -- Wait a week or so for a new rendering (several of which had mistakes that I was the only one to notice) -- In looking at the rendering it would still show a gap between the center stone & the halo -- given some reason why this was & then have to start all over. As my concern grew & my design ideas kept being simplified to achieve my goal, Erin had me come in to look at a wax mold and some example rings. All of these continued to show a gap & Erin began telling me this was as close as it could be and that all rings have this gap. She told me to trust that the benchman would get it "as close as possible." This just didn't sit right, so I reached out to custom jewelers I follow on IG, including showing them photos I had taken at DR. I was reassured by at least 6 jewelers that their rings have no gap at all & that what I was being told was the limit to flush just wasn't true. I shared this information with Erin, who remained steadfast that she was right & that what these others were telling me made no sense. I finally decided to listen to my gut & switch to a new jeweler. Unfortunately I still had to purchase my diamond through RC because they refused to return my deposit despite the fact that they couldn't deliver on the ring they promised. Do yourself a favor & don't give them as many chances to get it right as I did. There are plenty of great female owned custom jewelers out there. Pros: -nice people -lab grown diamonds at a fair price -good choice if looking for a solitaire design Cons: -have to put 50% down before you ever actually see a design -not ring designers -- i had to bring ideas for them to work from -turn around time for renderings can be over a week & often include mistakes that require additional time for correcting -lack of attention to detail shown in rendering mistakes & other experiences -rendering software isn't the best in terms of realism -try to sell you on a false idea of what it means for a halo to be flush -inflexible in refunding money if they can't do what you've asked for & they've promised they can deliver -showed up to appt to pick up another piece of jewelry i know longer wanted them to work on & they didn't have it ready even though meeting had been rescheduled already giving them more time read more

I went back and forth on whether to post a review, but it's been a few months and I'm still appalled. I took my ring in to get resized as well as purchase a custom wedding band. The wedding band came out great. When they resized my engagement ring they took it from a 5 and a half to a 6. To do this it was as if the benchmen stretched the metal and my ring ended up tapered. I asked them to fix it and they said they would. I then drove back to cherry creek (30 mins each way) a few weeks later to find out they hadn't fixed it. When I told them again that it was not right, they accused me of not knowing my ring. They said it must have been tapered to begin with, asked if it was a mass produced ring (it was not - it is from a prestigious New York City jeweler), and said that their benchmen "wouldn't do this in a million years." Well, he did. They did offer to fix it again, but at that point I was tired of the 1 hour round trip drive and being treated rudely. I got it fixed with another jeweler. They did refund me for the resize. I also know that they offer discounts for positive reviews. read more

Picking a place to purchase a sentimental piece of jewelry such as an engagement ring can be overwhelming, but we are so glad we chose Kaeleigh and the Diamond Reserve. My ring has two side stones, and she was able to bring in multiple sets of stones for us to look at and compare with the center stone. The CAD images that she provided were very helpful in determining the final design of the ring and she was very receptive to all my little nit-picky questions. Once we finalized the designs and the ring went into production, it was turned around in a great amount of time. Completely unorganized. When you walk in there is nothing but empty glass cabinets which I have not seen in a jewelry store before- it looked like they just got robbed. Furthermore, I had to wait for the person to call their boss to find the diamonds instead of having them out and ready as I did make an appointment. I was introduced to House of Diamonds by a very good friend. My bestie LOVES jewelry, but is a perfectionist, so she may find a Tacori ring that she loves, but if it were just a smidge different.. it would be "to die for"... in rolls Mark Hadley... with the ability to take the Tacori design and add the final elements to make it perfect for her. I have always loved her style, but assumed that House of Diamonds would be well outside of my price range. I am very happy to say that as of about a week ago, I am engaged and the proud owner of a ring that I initially thought only existed in my dreams. My fiance and I searched for months... we researched, we (ok maybe I did the research by myself lol) educated ourselves and I scoured online places and brick and mortar places for the right stone at the right price. Apparently Mark Hadley was able to come in at the "right price". We were aiming for a 2 ct "enhanced" diamond (gotta love the BLING) and with his advice and HUGE selection, we were able to afford a natural, unenhanced 1.5 carat stunner that I feel "looks" like 2 carats on my finger (IMO). It sparkles like nothing I have seen (ask him about the TRIPLE X diamonds!!!) I loved that Mark was able to bring out TRAYS and TRAYS of different settings for us to look at, and at the end of the day, I couldnt be happier. Other jewelers wanted me to wait 6-8 weeks for them to get in other settings for me to try (we are talking just trying them on-- not ordering the ring itself) For all of you brides-to-be, let me say, I have done my homework, for months.
