My fiancé and I have had previously been to a Brilliant Earth in Scottsdale AZ, we had a terrible experience, so bad that I went with Blue Nile instead for her engagement ring. Strike one! Fast forward a year, we made an appointment several weeks ago with Andrea at the Cherry Creek lofor Thursday at 5. We came 10 minutes early, had no problem waiting for our slot at 5pm, we were the only people in the lobby. 10 minutes past 5, a couple comes in and says they have an appointment with Andrea at 5, Andrea comes out and takes them right away! Well that's weird, we've been waiting for 20 minutes now, this couple just comes in, said they scheduled 2 days ago, is late for their supposed appointment and they get taken in right away without any explanation to us?? The girl at the front desk doesn't even tell us that there was some sort of mix up, I had to go up there and ask! We made an appointment with Andrea and now we're getting pawned off to someone else. Strike two! So at first, the new person, Cody, was really nice, helpful at first, but it felt like he was trying to rush us. The more questions we asked, the more I can tell he was getting agitated. He was supposed to email us back within 48 hours for the rings that we selected. He did not. 48 hours go by, we call customer service twice, still no emails. They said he wasn't in yesterday, well that was 24 hours ago, if he knew he wasn't going to be in, wouldn't he send the email before he knew he was going to be gone the whole weekend???? Strike three! It took an additional 5 times to call customer service for them to realize that they had put our email wrong in the system. They put "gmial.com"....... Our appointment with Jessica didn't go as we hoped and she seemed unsure throughout the process. She also didn't show us the diamond sizes we specifically requested (when filling out an apt request), which was really disappointing considering how important those details are. It felt awkward and unorganized, and we walked away feeling more confused than when we walked in. I came here for 2 engagement ring appointments. You have to have an appointment to be seen - no walk in appointments offered. The website is great, and you can see all the selections of styles in a variety of colors. I really like that brilliant earth offers a wide selection of gemstones, which I wanted as the center stone for my ring. On my second appointment, the jeweler offered to order me the gemstones I was looking at online. When it came down to the purchase, he suggested building the ring online and ordering it that way. Brilliant Earth is more of an online platform and the showrooms are there just so you can peek at what you want before purchasing. They don't make your ring locally or in store. I'm giving four stars out of five stars due to the warranty policy. If you go with Brilliant Earth, I highly suggest and insuring your ring through an outside agency. read more

This company is beyond bad. After I placed an order on 9/10 and then switched diamonds so i could get the ring in time for my vows renewal they confirmed delivery by 9/30. On 9/29 I found out the ring was delayed and would not arrive until 10/2, too late for me. No one locally could issue me a refund in store. I have had to do many calls and much heartache. DO NOT PUT YOUR SPECIAL DAY IN THEIR HANDS!! You will be let down and heartbroken. There is poor coordination between sales and production, there is no guarantee on you ring arrival time, and when you call you don't get your local store but rather a call center where they have little information or authority. Before the appointment, Brilliant Earth let's you choose preferred settings and center stone type, shape and carat online (super easy process) so they can have those settings on hand to try on and to help you narrow down your preferences during your appointment. We met with Claire 1 on 1 for an hour and she was incredibly helpful! I was swimming in options before our appointment with her. The process she led us through helped me narrow down my preferences confidently (I'm notoriously fickle). And the diamond education she provided left my boyfriend and I confident that we could actually figure out diamond buying process (something we both felt very uneasy about). She went out of her way to help me compare how each diamond shape would look on the two settings I preferred in a way no other store had offered us. And she had great tips for me along the way (My favorite: Don't settle. If there's something you don't love about a setting, move on, because you'll find a setting with nothing for you to complain about). I'm so grateful for our appointment with Claire! And Brilliant Earth's selection was just beautiful. I don't wear my ring to sleep, shower, wash hands/dishes, etc. They should not be falling out so soon. We sent it in to get fixed and sized. They quoted us 2-3 weeks. We told them we HAD to have it back by a certain date 6 weeks in the future. They said absolutely no problem. We were told after 3 weeks it was done... then it wasn't. Then it was delayed... and delayed... and again. They have now had the ring for over six weeks. They've had it as long as I had it in my possession. They made us miss our engagement photos. We incurred $350 in cancellation fees and they shrugged. They didn't offer anything at all to appease the situation. They could not have cared less. So my fiancé proposed in May 2019, the band was too big so about 2 months later we get it resized. They told my fiancé at the time of purchase that if it needed to be resized it would be free. We drop off the ring and then we get a call that it is actually going to be $500 to resize! No way Jose, My fiancé went over their agreement, the person on the phone agreed. We then get two more calls where they attempt to go back and forth with us on this several times over the course of two weeks. This left a sour taste in our mouths which is a shame because initially they were very courteous, attentive, and amicable. Finally they agreed that it wouldn't be correct to charge us after what was promised. So I get the ring back after about a month, it looks great, fits great. Fast forward about 8 months since having the ring resized and then the band breaks! I'm heart broken! I'm suppose to wear this for the rest of my life and it can't handle me gardening outside with gloves on!? I wear multiple sterling silver rings some thinner than this band that have lasted me years. Be smarter than I was. Do NOT purchase such an important item from this sham of a company. Nothing but problems and secrecy. I got my ring in 2022. Fast forward to 2023, my diamond started to wiggle in the setting. Mind you, I work from home in an office capacity. I scheduled a repair appointment, which ended up riddled with issues. They don't seem to comprehend that once the purchaser gives the ring to their significant other that the purchaser probably won't be the person they'll be communicating with anymore. They don't have jewelers on site (HUGE RED FLAG) and ship your item to New Jersey for repair. Mine was sent, and when I confirmed it was back at the Cherry Creek location, I went to pick it up. Shockingly, it wasn't there. Upon speaking with the manager when I got there, I was informed that my ring came back to them in worse condition than when it was dropped off, so they sent it back to NJ without telling me. It was then "repaired" again, and sent back to me. During this time, I requested proof of repairs, which they refuse to provide to me. I also asked for proof that my ring was even shipped out, which they also refuse to provide to me. I received my "repaired" ring back in early Dec 2023. It is now March 2024. The attached picture is my ring today. I have emailed them repeatedly requesting reimbursement of my band since I now must have it re-set as I cannot trust the integrity of my ring and do not plan to lose my diamond because of horrible craftsmanship. Nothing but heartache from Brilliant Earth and certainly not worth the amount we paid. The "customer service" along the way from a woman named Elisa has been the worst I've ever experienced. My fiance purchased my beautiful ring from Brilliant Earth in a total surprise engagement. Therefor I had to send it back in to be resized. It took them almost 3 weeks to re-size the ring. When I got it back 2 of the 4 prongs were loose (like pulling out my hair and getting caught on clothes loose) you can see the ever present 'fuzz' in the attached picture. They will not guarantee this is covered under warranty, even though this was their jewelers error,and to top it off they say it will take 4 weeks to fix. Finally, if I were to take it somewhere local that could fix my ring in a reasonable amount of time, it will void the warranty. So again, the ring is beautiful, but pray that there is nothing wrong with it, because then it becomes not their problem! read more
