We were never given or approved a total cost, and the amounts claimed have changed repeatedly and remain impossible to reconcile. Our initial contact, Brian, was responsive until work began, then stopped responding entirely. Communication was redirected to Ellie, who could not answer basic questions about invoices, insurance, or the work performed, and often provided information that was later contradicted. We paid $5,000 upfront after being told this represented our insurance deductible. Despite repeated requests, we did not receive documentation or estimates for over a month after remediation was completed--while storage fees continued to accrue--preventing us from moving forward with reconstruction. They finally starting talking to me in mid-October AFTER insurance formally notified us by certified mail (with Anthony Restoration copied) that they would no longer work with this company. Anthony Restoration at that point said they would bring our belongings back by the afternoon if I brought her a $12,000 cashiers check to complete the $38,000 owed. Before I cut the check, I called insurance and found out they ALREADY paid Anthony Restoration nearly $42,000. Despite this, the company continues to claim additional balances--most recently another $22,000--without documentation to support those figures. Our personal belongings are still being held while storage fees accrue monthly, despite repeated requests for their return.
