I cannot say enough good things about John Taylor and Madison Taylor Indoor Environmental. I contacted John during an extremely difficult and stressful situation with our home, and from the beginning, he took the time to truly listen to my concerns and help me understand what needed to be done. John was knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the process. He helped guide me through what had become a terrible ordeal and provided quality work and straightforward answers when I needed them most. Having someone take the time to listen, answer my questions, and help me navigate an unfamiliar situation meant more than I can say. I am extremely grateful for John's expertise, patience, and professionalism and would absolutely recommend Madison Taylor Indoor Environmental. read more

Not impressed--waste of money, time, and peace of mind. I brought this company to my home at the recommendation of my functional medicine doctor. I had evidence of mold in my home from testing and told Mr. Taylor that I smelled mold in the bedroom corner and the kitchen. He gave me a 34-page "bid" (estimate), which I read in full, only to find that it was entirely boilerplate and did not explain anything about the findings or proposed remediation plan or explanation of why they needed to charge $6,000 to do what he had explained to me was simply uncaulk, dehumidify, recaulk, clean the ducts, and clean the HVAC, which is about $1300 of work. I repeatedly requested a short summary of the work to do be done, only to be told that it had to be discussed instead. I called him, and he verified the scope of work I mentioned. His explanation was that it had to be done to industry standards, which included putting the house under negative pressure and doing the work all at once, so that there was no mold flying around or cross-contamination. I told him we could not afford $6,000 and would seek to do the indicated work with other contractors, which we did. The duct cleaning guy begged me not to waste my money on duct cleaning, since he'd cleaned our ducts the year before and mold does not live in ducts, but we got it done anyway, following Mr. Taylor's general work plan. Duct guy was right; it made no difference. The two issues I had identified Mr. Taylor incorrectly indicated were caused by the HVAC (bedroom) and the kitchen drips, and that once the source of water was stopped and the area dried, we wouldn't need to close up the gap in the kitchen cabinet wall. He was wrong on both counts. I continue to smell mold coming from the bedroom wall and the kitchen cabinet. I called him to ask for additional diagnostic help with the bedroom wall issue. He did not return my call. When I called the next time, he had no recollection of the service and attributed our poor results to our not having used his state-of-the-art plan, which would not have made any difference, because he misdiagnosed the two main issues. I requested his additional help, which he refused to provide. read more

This is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with. During a very difficult time, John was great from the start. He explained everything to me and answered my questions. When John and assistant came to our home, they did a very thorough examination of everything and all of my concerns were addressed. I received a report from Pace, a Gold Star lab and then a written report explaining every detail of what would need to happen to correct the many issues. John followed up to make sure that I understood the lab results and if I needed anything else. My experience was as good as it could have been and I am grateful for the great level of care I received. read more

Mr. John Taylor, himself and a co-worker performed a "mold and particulate evaluation" for my 80 year old parents in the spring of 2025 at a residential apartment. My parents had been experiencing some respiratory issues and wanted to test for mold and particulates. I live out of state and had seen Madison Taylor's website. The company held multiple certifications and when I spoke with Mr. Taylor he told me they could also assess for particulates, which not many companies seemed able to do. I communicated several times with John Taylor and he attested verbally and in writing that they would be collecting multiple samples in various forms and in a variety of rooms. His quote of $495 was for an "unlimited number of samples: swab, tape lift and air quality samples as well as interior air samples, relative humidity, moisture readings, thermal imaging (using advanced technology to detect hidden moisture behind walls and beneath floors), and a particle count". On the day of sampling 1 air sample from an overhead kitchen vent and a Control were collected. My mom requested for him to perform sampling in other rooms where particulates had accumulated. These were refused. My parents similarly addressed other locations for the collection of mold samples, yet no further sampling was performed. All additional requested site samples were refused despite client's requests. John Taylor told her, "We don't need anymore samples," and pulled out a bar stool and sat down while his co-worker continued to look around the apartment, but performed no further testing. No Tape Lift or Swab samples were collected, nor any thermal imaging was performed. No sampling in other rooms in the apartment nor the "unlimited number of samples" were collected, as he has previously proposed. The only other "analysis" performed was done using a digital camera to take pictures of the air vents. His subsequent report showed a single interior air sample testing for mold/particulate and a Control. Also of note, in his written report, he hadn't even bothered to edit out the claim to have taken "slide and swab samples", of which there was no test performed and no result data cited. It seemed they neglected to even read the report they submit to clients. Upon further research, most client reviews are "1"s and one review stated that this company has had to change names and rebrand because of bad publicity and negative reviews. We are filing a complaint with the BBB due to Claimed Services Unrendered and promissory fraud. I would NOT recommend this company! Find an honest company that will do what they promise. Don't get bilked with this one! read more

I would highly recommend that you do NOT use this company. They changed the name of their last company for a reason. Look them up on the BBB, they already have a large amount of complaints. They did not fix our mold issues and did not honor their warranty, even after we showed them evidence of visible mold after their remediation. read more

Madison Taylor performed an air quality inspection in our home and did the extensive remediation work to remove mold. The cost was reasonable. The work was high quality and the inspector, John Taylor, provided top notch advice and great follow up. This work was done several years ago, and we have relied on Mr. Taylor for advice on other issues we have faced since then (unrelated to the remediation done previously). The combination of honesty and professionalism exhibited by Madison Taylor is very hard to find these days. read more

I would not recommend this company at all. During the first half of the process, calls where returned promptly and a lot of information was provided. After the initial mold test, there was a detailed phone conversation about the scope of the work and how bad the mold levels in the house were and how it would take 8-10 personnel about 6-8 hours to complete the remediation process. The scope of the work also included a long list of items required for the job and therefore a huge cost for the remediation. On the day of the remediation, there were no more than 4 personnel who were in and out of the house in under 3 hours. We were left hanging with no clearance letter and no information post remediation about being able to go back into the house. I have since emailed, called and left voicemails about talking about the post remediation testing and haven't heard back. It has now been 2 weeks since the job, they processed the final payment without confirming with me and still haven't answered any of my questions. They've provided terrible customer service and the lack of communication on their end is abysmal. read more

Our roof had been leaking for something like 6 months and our incompetent landlord followed up late to patch over the bubble formed inside and the roof outside but did nothing about the musty smell that was starting to overtake the whole apartment. Finally took matters into my own hands and called several mold companies until I found one that actually seemed to know what they were talking about. These guys not only found tons of nasty black mold in the attic space and took care of it ALL they also told us about something called the landlord tenant act so we didn't have to front all the costs. Awesome company y'all went above and beyond. Many thanks read more

I recently had Madison-Taylor do mold removal from my condo at the cost of nearly 7000 dollars. When I read in their report that moldy drywall would have to be removed, I called to speak to the owner, Mr. John Taylor, and I specifically asked him if there was anything I would need to do to that wall when they were done. He told me that there was NOTHING I would need to do except to paint if I chose to, leading me to believe that the wall would be repaired. Much to my surprise, when I returned home, I had a concrete wall in a heavily traveled part of the unit. Why would I be told that I would need to do nothing but paint? Paint a concrete wall? Although they state that they do not do "build back," I figured by his telling me that I would need to do nothing with the wall once they completed their work that perhaps repairing the wall was not considered part of "build back." I felt that he could have been clearer with me, but when I told him that I felt misled, his response was, "There is no way that I misled you!" Even an acceptance that there had been a misunderstanding would have been nice. Instead, Mr. Taylor commented that, "If there was a misunderstanding, I would be shocked." No apology and no acknowledgement of any possible culpability in this matter. The thing is that I would have had them do the work anyway since the drywall had to come out, but I would have liked to have known in advance that I was going to incur another expense by having to hire someone to replace drywall that I thought they would do based on a very vague answer from Mr. Taylor. read more
