I recently did a "play with clay" class with a girlfriend. It was hosted at the Dodge location in…read morean old bus. The bus is cool! FYI- the bus only holds two guests at a time. It's equipped with two wheels, countertops for the clay, and a small sink for washing. The class is described as an "opportunity to try the potter's wheel with one hour of instruction at our Dodge Studio. It includes 2 hours of Instructed Wheel time and we provide clay, aprons, and tools. You can do this as a fun experience or choose to save pots as a memento. ($5 per piece)." For some constructive feedback- the description or confirmation information should include some further details like recommended attire (which might not be super obvious to everyone), that the 2 hours you pay for also include time for you to clean the bus, like everything- the wheel, water vessels, tools, surfaces, etc. Clay can get messy and we were not aware of the clean up rules until the very end! Informing people in advance is not that hard. Just by including a tidbit about how the co-op operates, their water saving efforts, etc, would set everyone up for clear expectations. For the record, I absolutely agree that a co-op is only as functional as the folks who are partaking in it and I am all for being part of a the full process and respecting it. Neither of us had tried wheel throwing before and it's actually a lot to process and apply in a 2 hour period. Wheel throwing requires lot's of time and patience. Our instructor Eva, demonstrated for about an hour and touched on a bunch of different steps before handing over the wheels to us, and hanging for a bit to guide us through our first attempts. We felt an overall vibe of impatience from our instructor. Questions were met with a tone of "I already told you" or "it's posted on the wall." Another suggestion is to consider hanging some visuals at the front of the bus with the steps in the process. That way, when students are left independently, they can reference them as little reminders, because it's not easy to remember them all at once. We also we very unclear as to whether or not we were limited to the two clay pieces we started the class with, which turns out, we could have pulled more clay from the bag. Again, another opportunity for the co-op and instructors to prep their students/customers for a more seamless experience. How about prep 4 balls per person and see if they even use them all? The clay gets reused anyway. Leaving us there to wonder wasn't ideal. It took several weeks to hear back from them for a pick up notice on our items. We each fired/glazed one. I was prepared to not even get my item after so much time passed. There's room for improvement and it all comes down to information and communication. Would I do this class again? Maybe and perhaps try a different instructor. Overall, if you're looking to try something new and clay is on your mind, I think this is fun option. It was $120 for the class, plus $5 per item we fired and glazed, so not bad.

So I signed up for wheel throwing and hand building classes. These classes are very popular and they fill up quickly. 8 week classes where you come in once a week for 2 hours cost 155.00. You will also have to pay for clay and tools. The instructor was very knowledgeable, however, I feel like I could have learned more. Most of the students in my class had previous experience and did not need as much attention. I want to sign up for another class and maybe I will get much better at it. We are newbies, so we needed the extra instruction. Others in the class were all so friendly, too. This little shop is in a small shopping center and nothing fancy, but has everything you need. Our seats were all set up for us with the necessary tools. Once you get started, you actually get the hang of it. There are plenty of samples to follow. We will definitely return and tell others about how much fun and stress-relieving it is!

I went here a couple Saturday mornings ago with a group of about six. It was the first time playing…read morepaintball for all of us, which staff was aware of. The staff was very friendly however it did seem to be a bit disorganized. For instance, they did an orientation for the first group initially there at opening however they did not do another orientation for anyone that may have come after they opened. I was under the impression that they would be doing another one when I asked and they said they were. So I did not attend that orientation since I was still waiting for the remainder of my group. Once my group bought tickets, we sat under a Ramada and waited until it was our turn to start a game. However, no one actually approached us to let us know it was time. We watched a referee approach another group and tell them it was time as well as their group letter. When we bought tickets, no one told us our group letter. There was another group nearby with the same issue and we both had to approach ticketing to learn our group letters, which were in fact with the group which was ready to play. Once getting on the field to play, there are so many different games you could play which is really cool and they do a good job explaining them to you. h However, they never explained how to use the gun. Once the game started, I found my gun didn't work and had to find out from nearby kids that it did not have air, which I did not realize I needed to check. I also don't understand why I was given a gun with no air when we were there at opening. One of the staff apologized that he forgot to let us know about this. He was very friendly. So we filled my gun with air. But going back, my gun still didn't work for the 2nd game, so I had to learn from the referee how to use the gun, making this the 2nd game that I was still unable to use the gun. If they were to give more clarity to new guests upon starting play, I think this would really improve the experience for beginners. The course seem to be extensive and they sell snacks, including full size bags of chips. For $45 they give you 500 paintballs, the gun, and the helmet and allow you to play until your paintballs are done. My group was able to play about Five or six games. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and had a good time. I would return.

Went on a Sunday around noon…read more As a mom, I appreciated three things. - their hours of operation which helps to entertain our child over the weekend lull - they had a full changing station with supplies outside the two bathrooms which also had changing stations - the staff entertained my child's questions and curiosity I have no idea about how great their selection is seeing as I'm not that into LEGO's but looked good? And I found what I needed. Don't know much about the value but the pieces that I found were only $20 so I'm happy! There were at least four staff members with one particularly checking in on me multiple times to help find certain pieces. I also liked how one staff member stepped in to help a kid. She didn't scold him about climbing on the bulk supply area but just suggested a stool. Nice approach! I'm glad that they opened this location and will gladly go back.

This is also a resale shop, so feel free to sell your old bricks here. You'll get the most for sealed packages but sets with instructions and boxes sell too.
