I will say, they can be a bit pricey at times, but they're a family-owned business and offer discount cards and other discounts that make it worth it, especially if you go there often. Personally, I've already saved ~$40 alone just by using the discount cards, which can be shared between family and friends if you don't visit often enough. Aside from all of this, they also have a wide selection of pens, markers, paper and even some great variety of architecture supplies on the second floor. Their response to my needs, budget, and requirements was artfully pretentious. The combination of casual dismissiveness and practiced condescension when I expressed interest in their luxury pen selection? Remarkable. It takes real skill to make someone feel simultaneously invisible and judged. If I had a pen, I'd have taken earnest notes on their methods. I'm genuinely grateful for this experience. It crystallized my understanding of what I value in a retailer and motivated me to find exactly that elsewhere. When I entered, a group of workers shouted "Welcome in!" toward the entrance, though not to anyone in particular. I came to purchase two yards of fabric for a sewing project. No employee approached me to offer assistance. When I found the fabric section, there were no staff members around except for an elderly woman who was quite rude. She didn't smile, say good morning, or make small talk. When she finished cutting the fabric, she tossed it onto the table rather than handing it to me. She did the same with my receipt, simply tossing it toward the center of the table. These small interactions added up, making me feel unwelcome. I'm left wondering why I shouldn't just buy fabric at Walmart if the customer service and expertise are going to be the same. To make matters worse, the other customers seemed unfriendly as well. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience.

We are newbies, so we needed the extra instruction. Others in the class were all so friendly, too. This little shop is in a small shopping center and nothing fancy, but has everything you need. Our seats were all set up for us with the necessary tools. Once you get started, you actually get the hang of it. There are plenty of samples to follow. We will definitely return and tell others about how much fun and stress-relieving it is!
