    The O.G. with Chili Jam
    Jeremy P.

This is my favorite fast casual bowl place no doubt! Finally a place that isn't just another Mediterranean bowl in NYC. I love that they make really filling bowls. The bowls they use are already deep bowls and they still pile it high! I also enjoy they have a daily special called Nathan's Way so I can always try something different. I also think the staff are friendly which makes it just really nice to experience. My favorite is The O.G. bowl. You get a whole scoop of avocado! I love that these bowls have a lot of vegetables and texture. And don't skip the chili jam! It's thick and adds a nice spice and sweetness to my bowls. They also show they use Graza olive oil which is a plus for me. This location is open and airy. There are large communal standing tables and a few 2 person seated round table. I like going here for lunch with no more than 2 people. The high ceiling and the open kitchen also make the restaurant feel so much bigger. It's hard to find a place to eat sometimes and I do think they have room to add more seating. There is a large open space between the front door and cash register that seems to be under utilized.

This place has been ALL over everywhere I look so I had to check out. From the outside, I love how much space This Bowl occupies - it makes it really easy to find and love how it fits the clean aesthetic of the neighborhood. Even though the space is big, there isn't much seating inside but I was still able to find a seat. The menu isn't that large, which was great for navigating around the menu. I asked them what they recommended and got the OG Bowl. Food wise - I felt like the portions were good for the greens but were lacking on the base and protein options. The flavors were definitely really unique and I enjoyed it. It's cool how many textures they fit into the bowl, candidly I wish it wasn't so crunchy but it did make it taste good. I'll be back for sure to try the other types of bowl!

I really enjoyed the miso salmon bowl here. I thought it was perfectly dressed and had nuts, avocado, and fish which was very hearty. I thought my bowl was a little pricey considering the small amount of fish I got, I hope to try a different protein next time that I think will be more cost efficient.

Second Thisbowl location I have tried! Their food is great, but it just misses something for me. Their cabbage base is really dry, but the rest of the bowl is absolutely delicious. I wish the counter would be user facing to be able to add extra portions of certain toppings, but overall great Aussie spot if your in a bowl mood :)

When THISBOWL first opened in NY, I waited far too long in line to try it which clouded my experience. Now that there's this second location, I gave it another try early on a Thursday. I was surprised that there was already a line at 11:30AM but it moved relatively quick. Service was efficient and friendly, they call out orders by number which makes far more sense than taking down names. I got the spicy salmon bowl and the spice level is very manageable, it's definitely not "ethnic" spicy. You can modify some of the ingredients in their favorite bowls, so I subbed out the onion for edamame and really enjoyed the cohesion of flavors/textures. The chili jam also adds a great flavor, and I enjoyed the sesame dressing that is mixed in with the veg. The bowl looks like it's piled high, but a majority of it is greens/cabbage (depending on what you pick as your base), so it's a solid amount for lunch without leftovers. I think the price point is appropriate, but I wouldn't come here if they were pushing over $20 for a bowl. There are some small tables inside, but it seems like most people in the area do takeout so it wasn't hard to get a seat. In a city saturated with healthy lunch options, THISBOWL provides some more unique flavor profiles that are worth putting in rotation.

If I could pick one salad bowl place to eat for the rest of my life it would be THISBOWL. I think it's different and better than all the other places like cava, dig, naya, avo, etc. The raw salmon bowl was fire and fish tasted fresh. I think my favorite thing is the presentation and the crunchiness of all the vegetables. I'm eating a jumbled mix but I love it. Flavors are immaculate as well love the seasoning and the sauces! It is quite steep in pricing but so maybe not a frequent dine but if I had the money I would come here every time. Also great service - the employees were super nice friendly and helpful

A couple friends recommended us to try THISBOWL (originally from Australia) to us since it's one of their favorite fast-casuals in the city. We got there around 12:30 PM this past Monday for lunch, and it was pretty crowded with plenty of people eating their lunch bowls inside, waiting in line to order, or waiting for their food to be prepared. MISO SALMON - 16.90 + base: sushi rice and shredded cabbage My friend and I shared this because we weren't too hungry. The portion size is smaller than we expected, but we were easily stuffed by the sushi rice in our bowl. The piece of salmon was kind of small, but well-marinated with a delicious miso glaze. There were lots of veggies including white and purple cabbage, carrot and scallions, which provided a lot of crunch and the tamari ponzu was sweet and lightly tart. We also enjoyed the avocado and almonds mixed in. Overall, tasty bowl, but pretty pricy for fast-casual. Glad we got to try it!

Incredibly skimpy on the ingredients. They only have one raw fish option (salmon sashimi) and you can tell they don't want to part with more than a few tiny pieces for each order. That leaves you with a bowl that's 99% cabbage, onion, and rice for $18. Not great. The ambiance was nice and the service was quite friendly, but the food just wasn't nearly good enough to be worth the price. Won't be coming back.

These bowls are outtasite! Finally, Flatiron. Fresher than fresh. Well the MUSIC IS TOO LOUD. They lowered it for a minute. The balance of flavors & texture is monstrous. It's bigger than Noho but searing is limited and about 7 tables plus standing area. Ate: Salmon miso bowl Added eggplant miso Ginger Total: $23

Sterile, vaguely 80s inspired decor with the mirrored walls and glass blocks. Similar to the WSA building. Bowls are vaguely Asian inspired but also include Avocado so it's "Australian." Snark aside, This Bowl is probably the best of the "slop bowl" laptop lunch options. My favorite is the OG w/ miso salmon-with a base of 1/2 sushi rice and 1/2 greens with chili jam added. Employees here are pretty chill and great at managing the bros who come in here trying to cut the line and other foolishness.

    Braised Beef Bowl
    Patrick Z.

I was actually so excited to finally try this place and it did not disappoint! It was kind of a gradual satisfaction for me I feel like. I got the braised beef bowl and thought the beef was very tender and I particularly loved the umami nut crunch in this bowl because it had a really cool tang to it. At first I thought this bowl was just good but the more I ate it the more I was enthralled in it, and it was a pretty good portion as well. Although I do think it could've used a bit more rice. As for the place itself, I thought the vibe was actually pretty cool. Loved the graphic design and typography of everything, they were playing very great music, and there was a line but it moved pretty quickly.

Ok this is my new favorite bowl place - move aside Cava and Sweetgreen! I have tried the eggplant and salmon bowls - both really good. Like the spicy sesame dressing the best. Its a lot of food though, go hungry, split or be prepared for leftovers. They have a regular customer in me!

    Chin T.

Staffs were friendly. They just opened this store in Flatiron. I always go to their Bleecker Street store now they finally open one closer. They were even open on July 4th! I was excited to eat there knowing that I had a good experience in the past. My usual is the build my own bowl with the braised beef. This time, I was disappointed to see a shiny piece of metal stuck on a strand of meat hidden behind the braised pork. Unfortunately, I won't be returning here to eat.
