Celebrate Local is always a great choice for local favorites, and during the pandemic is no…read moreexception! While the shop is closed, their online site is active and packed full of goodies to peruse. They have an April promocode available at the top of the site for your order, and you can do free pick up at the Easton location, if you'd like. I opted to pay for shipping and it was hand delivered, carefully packed, a few days after I placed the order, with a thank you note and small American flag included - nice touches. If you haven't had the opportunity to visit Celebrate Local before, I highly recommend you do so once it reopens, but in the meantime, check out their site to find Ohio apparel for babies, kids, and adults, jewelry, food items like sauces, snacks, coffee and tea, homegoods, bath/hair products, and fun things for your pets! It's a great option for gifts too - quite a bit of my virtual visit was dedicated to picking out just the right gift options and the venture was most successful. Celebrate Local is always a great choice for your Columbus and Ohio needs (and things you didn't know you needed!)

It's filled to the brim with locally made items, everything from food to clothing, home decor, jewelry, wine, and more. It's definitely a great place to shop for a thoughtful gift. You can certainly find something special here. On my last visit I walked out with a delicious sugar cookie and a jar of elderberry jam, both made right here in Columbus! The staff here is very informed on the items in the store and where they come from. They can also fill you in on the stories behind them, which is very cool. If you haven't stopped in for a visit, I suggest you make it a priority.

WOW! Buckeye overload. I discern that you can buy OSU fan t…read moreshirts anywhere for the game or the season. But if you want quality gear that will last longer than a season... it's here. I was that guy who picked up a shirt or jersey in a department store or grocery. I've been in BC several times to get a specific gift for someone, but always balked at the prices. Here's why I'm here today.... Another game on tv, another jab at my brother from mom. "He bought me a jersey 8 years ago that was too big. I gave it back to him to get another smaller size. Never did." That is just mama guilt that every child is aware of. The reality is, she wore the shirt tucked in for 2 years, then gave it back to him. There's no 2 year return policy. Enough was enough. Next day, mom and I were on the journey for the jersey that fit her. No way was I chancing an online purchase without her trying it on. Kohls- no jerseys. Macys- 14 total jerseys to sell. Dicks- Lots to choose from, but not her size. By now I'm hearing about her disdain for the women's fit for women's jerseys. Now we are here at BC. Minutes before noon opening and there is a crowd outside. We see the custom made jerseys through the window. When the store opens, I pull her from custom to the wall to find the proper fit first. We had great customer service in getting unreachable items down, and the search for a size. Finally it's a Youth XL. Not a popular stocked item in most stores. Now for the number. **Did you know that OSU has a contract with Nike that they can only print two jersey numbers a year? This year it's #1 and #17. One number will always the year(#17). Here's the stumble. Plenty of great player jersey's hanging up for sale labeled as "Throw-backs" for a premium price. Ok so we can just get what we want custom. We move over to get her a custom Youth XL. "What would you like on it?" Uh oh. She is unprepared. A quick google/police report/wikipedia search gives her a decision. #27. "OK, what name on the back?" You are restricted from any player name or trademark. She wanted no name at all, only to be told it is required. Even OH IO, is trademarked as a firm NO. Oh it's been a long enough journey. Please make it stop. She has chosen. Yes. we are done! Nope........... She does not have a Youth XL jersey. Really? Wasn't that the first thing I said? Back to the rack. "17 or 1 mom?" Only red jersey choice is #1. Try it it on. Fits? Relief. I take the opportunity while there to ask mom to pick out some T shirts for Christmas gifts. Good sale on good quality. Now I'm in line and it's much shorter now that all that opening crowd of shoppers and returns has left. "Do you have a rewards membership?" No. They offer a first tier of pay a fee, get some percentage off. They offer a second tier of pay a larger fee, get a another percentage off. Take note that the tier has a very limited life. "Do you offer a Military discount?" NO "Do you offer a Senior discount?" NO "Do you accept ApplePay?" NO Mark my items on receipt as Christmas gifts. The merchandise is of higher quality, and you must pay for it. The selection here is everything for the true Buckeye Fan. I think that going forward I will give gift certificate gifts for this store. I think a fan would enjoy this visit more than just a shopper would.

Always a great place to shop for all those pre-game items for football Saturdays. They have many…read moreclothing options and have many items to spruce up the television room at home.

This location has since moved just down the street into a quaint and historic old home. The master…read moremind behind it all is female-entrepreneur Barbara Drobnick. Have a certain scent in mind? She'll mix it for you right there. Better yet, if your favorite perfume has been discontinued, she can mix it especially for you by foraging through the scent blend databases she has access to. Want a margarita scented bath fizzy? She has it. She made it herself. Looking for extra special, not-your-run-of-the-mill soy candle? She can custom make that for you too - or sniff away at the shelves to pick your favorite. Craving chocolate but not the calories? Try a chocolate fizzy drop, shaped and foil wrapped just like a giant kiss. Or the oatmeal bath cookies packaged in a stack and looking like they just came out of the oven. This is the perfect place to go for wedding and shower gifts, birthdays too! My favorite product? Her all natural insect repellent. Contrary to popular conceptions of the mosquito foiling stuff, this actually smells quite lovely. It reminds me of the lemon Lipton Brisk Iced Tea you used to be able to purchase in cans. I actually use this on my hairless dogs as well with no adverse effect. Best of all? it REALLY works. In the corner of the store there is a station where you can fill your own Honey Grove bottle with bath salt or liquid soap. It's like sand art for the grown up...only it smells good. They stock soy candles, relaxation CDs, gift baskets and all the things you need to spoil yourself in the bath. They even have items to pamper the baby. If you know someone who really likes fragrant gifts, this is the place to go.
