I was lucky enough to talk to the owner, Paul, and his assistant McKinley. There is a proper smattering of wallet designs, materials and sizes available for customers to try on. Tactile sensation is encouraged and they'll help you ensure your existing CCs find their new home with minimal drama. What sold me was when I heard Paul tell another customer that they don't list a phone number because that would take away from the importance of the interaction with the customer in the store. The quality of this product is incredible. I purchased my first zerOz wallet about 5 years ago and it is still in incredible shape. The leather aged so well and looks better everyday. Instead of purchasing a 'new' wallet. I decided to leave a review instead. This product can take some time to get used to. I recommend using about 4 cards and 1 card in the pull tab. I stopped in the shop on Gay Street during one of the market events, and I'm so glad to have found a cool locally made product! I thought the concept sounded neat so I bought a wallet for my husband as a gift. They are a little pricey, but not more than I would expect for a well made leather product. I thought this would work great as a travel wallet for my husband. The variety of colors and designs of the wallets is excellent! They have something for everyone here. They also have a few different sizes, which they display well so that you can decide what size you need. Fast forward almost a year and my husband is still happy with the wallet, but the band for cash stretched out pretty quick. It's a $20 fix to replace it, which we are currently having done. In hindsight, I realize that my husband carries more cash on trips than he does here, so this will probably become more of his "everyday" wallet. I'd never had any desire to stop by before, simply cause I figured they were just another high-end purse shop. Wrong!! Their leather "wallets" are freaking awesome!! Their bright, bold colored hide left me speechless. Several have a stamped, tooled, design. The owner the young gal that greeted me explained all about the shop. Leather's great quality from Italy. I bought 2 wallets for the 3rd wedding anniversary gift for my husband and me today. I researched leather wallets are good for the 3rd wedding anniversary. Then, I found zerOz. I hesitated to go downtown because I don't like the rough traffic in downtown with my 9 month old baby. But, I was so impressed the smart skinny wallets on zerOz's website. So, I pushed myself. I LOVE these wallets! I first went into ZerOz before fathers day last years trying to find my hard to shop for dad something he would actually use. I ended up liking them so much I bought one myself. A year later, we're both still using our ZerOz wallets. They have a large variety of different sizes, colors, materials. I got my dad the "bigger" one because he carries company cards in additional to his personal, but for myself, I got the smaller one which carries 2 cc, 1 ID, and cash and a couple "frequent buyer punch cards" on the backside. Paul, the owner, is fantastic, super friendly, and he took me to the back of the shop to show me where he makes the wallets which was so cool to see! Prior to a Zeroz wallet purchase for Christmas a few years back, my fiance used to just keep his cards/money in his pocket. They were always misshapen and misplaced. I had the pleasure of visiting the store to pick up my online order (which was super easy and user friendly) and there were only two people working. It's a tiny place, and based on the smell of adhesive when you walk in, you know they do everything in-house. The owner was friendly and answered all of my questions. The gift was a huge hit, and the wallet has continued to hold up ever since. We more recently purchased one of the lime green wallets for my future mother-in-law, and she uses it when she goes out riding on their motorcycle. Stopped in on 7/14/15, over a year from the date I first purchased my wallet. The adhesive broke ages ago but I continued to use it with a rubber band. Paul greeted me very cheerfully and when I placed the wallet on the counter (without saying a word) he immediately proclaimed, "that's no good!" and offered to repair it for free (one business day turn around). This offer was made without questions more than a year after I purchased it --- and they even pointed out I had way more cards in it than it was rated to use (I had 14 in an 8 card wallet). I liked the design and notion of the zeroz wallet. I was visiting Columbus and decided to buy one. I followed the directions to a "T", never over stuffed the wallet, etc. About 4 months after purchase, the rubber band that holds cash began to get loose. While I understand they'll replace that particular component for free, that won't get back the nearly $100 I lost when it fell out unbeknownst to me. Good idea, poor construction. read more

I went through 28 years of my life without a wallet. I literally can't stand the feeling of anything in my pockets, so every time I would buy a new wallet to try, it would last about a day before being exiled to some sock drawer - never to be seen again. And then I met zerOz, and my life was forever changed. Okay, so it's just a wallet and can't really change your life. But it's still pretty freaking fantastic. I bought my first zerOz about three years ago, and it still looks perfect. Seriously, it looks brand new. I've heard some people talk about theirs getting stretched out, but the trick to keeping your wallet looking great is to treat it the way the zerOz folks tell you to. Don't. Overfill. It. My little three-card wallet has *never* had more than three cards in it, and it has never stretched out. The only problem I've ever had is that the cash strap recently broke; however, the friendly staff were happy to replace it for free! They even showed me what they're doing to help prevent future broken straps. Very cool! For a recent vacation, I really wanted a zerOz that held a few more cards, so I bought a snazzy new five-card one. And guess what? It's just as amazing as my original one. Who knew you could fall in love with a wallet and commit to a lifetime together besides? Yes, I'm here to tell you that you can and I did. I found this place while on a business trip to Columbus a few years ago. I was in the coffee shop across the street sitting at the window, kind of spacing out, when the gorgeous design of the zerOz store suddenly woke me up (even more than the Americano I was drinking at the time). When I walked in a few minutes later, the first person to talk to me was the owner. So welcoming, it felt like we were going to be friends. Genuinely nice guy who also happens to have a brilliant design aesthetic and make stunning wallets. It felt like being in my favorite gelato place - all those flavors (I mean, colors and designs), I couldn't figure out how to decide on which one to get. So I got two. And then later I went back and got a few more for friends. Here it is almost two years later and I can honestly say that every single time I pull out my zerOz wallet I feel affection wash over me. It's such an elegant design, the deep red color is gorgeous, the circle design has a modern flair with a humorous touch, the strap on the back is perfect for holding either my work key card or a hotel key card, and I remember the guy who made it. His only problem is that the quality of the craftsmanship means that I'm not wearing out the wallet. Ah, but I keep thinking I need to change it up a bit. Problem solved - plenty of colors and designs to choose from. And the prices! I can afford a few more of these well-crafted wallets. read more

I'll start by saying that I love my Zeroz. I've started carrying cash more since buying it, and I haven't looked back at the old traditional wallet since. I bought it during a neighborhood sale while visiting Columbus and met the folks who make it. Man are they passionate about their product! It's a really cool accessory, and I haven't found an inconvenience with it yet. They mentioned that the "Tabz", basically the sleeve in which you place your most commonly used card, will eventually crack and have to be replaced. This happened to mine after a summer with lots of travel and activity, no big deal. The problem I had with it, however, was trying to get replacements ordered. The website is Adobe Flash based, and neither my Android phone nor iPad allowed me to use the web site. I had to get on a computer to make the order, and shipping was very expensive for something that's super easy to ship. Additionally, they come in a $5 three-pack with other types of Tabz (a rigid one and a black one) that I may or may not want or like. There were no other options for replacement other than the assorted five-pack. With that all said, I love the Zeroz and I might buy a second one just to have another style to add to a rotation. This guarantee included the credit card insert. I recently returned to the store and spoke with Paul about replacing the credit card insert which is ripping. Paul laughed and told me that I could buy another one if I wanted. I have referred several people to Zeroz and each one purchased a wallet.
