This was always my go-to place for embroidery when my kids were little. Backpacks, jackets, lunchboxes, everything I wanted returned especially when they were in elementary school lol - they do great work and have so many fonts and colors to pick from. I started using this group a little while back for all different types of clothing to be monogramed. At first they were nice and I appreciated the work. After my second go around they started become "snippy" with continuously dropping off groups of clothing even though I had paid for multiple designs to be saved in their computer system. The most recent incident the women on the phone had such an attitude and told me reasons why they had moved on and could no longer complete my project THE DAY BEFORE my pick up date. I would not recommend getting sucked into this group and or paying upfront costs that now make me feel I'm stuck using them. Especially when I have read and found there is other and better quality out there. read more

Both times I have used Embroidery Design Group they made errors. First time they were able to remove the incorrect sized logo and re-stitch-had to wait another week for correction. The second time they placed the logo on the wrong side of a brand new $65.00 pullover which they could not remove without causing damage. I was clear with the lady who took my order, and actually pointed to the left side of my chest, but she incorrectly wrote down the wrong side. (Who puts logos on the right side chest of a pullover or golf shirt-no one) looking through the items hanging in their store, nor do they! I spoke with Mary the owner...I purchased another pullover and wanted reimbursed for the cost, I would give her the unworn brand new pullover that they damaged, and to have the logo put on the side I clearly had requested, she stated she would only do the logo for free and would not pay for ruining the first pullover. After discussing that they were responsible for making the error/damage she would not take the damaged one or pay for a new one. I requested my money back for the logo I had paid for originally and told her I would never do business with her company again. I would not recommend the Embroidery Design Group and I give them a "F" for poor business practices...they need to seriously review their business procedures and customer service policies-if they have any at all! read more

I brought in a baby blanket that was one of a kind and I took it in to get my nephews name stitched on there for baby shower gift. The people were nice enough, there were lots of options to choose from and when I picked up my blanket it looked good. However, as soon as I started handling it I noticed there were a lot of loose threads and thinking sometimes garments will have extra threads that the seamstress forgot to remove I tried to remove it myself only to find out it was actually part of the design and by removing that I started to unravel the letter. Well I found this problem on several letters with small, loose threads poking through the fabric that would easily be removed or lifted from the fabric. I would not dare to even try to wash this blanket for fear that half my letters would be completely unraveled by the washing machine which is kind of ridiculous because it's a baby blanket, it's going to be used. Long story short I took it in to voice my concern and see what they could do, very nicely might I add, the lady looks at me and says what how hard did you pull it and it looks fine to her. She basically told me that I did all this myself, its my fault that the letters were unraveling because the stitching looked good. I have no idea what she was looking at but it definitely was not the same thing I was and then she said there's nothing we can do for you again because it's fine, you figure it out. Now I'm off to Joann Fabrics to see if somehow I, a non-professional seamstress, can fix a supposed professionals work and make it into a usable and non embarrassing gift. So, so very unhappy right now. UPDATE: So I went to Joanns and found a professional seamstress who said to me exactly this. They used the wrong thread type for the stretch fabric, they used the wrong type of backing and not enough of it so it's going to be rough on the baby's skin, they didn't use any thread sealant and that's standard practice for these types of items, they used dull needles AND a HOME MACHINE! They didn't use a 12 bobbin because the threads that are supposedly my fault, aren't even attached to the threads stitched on the bottom second layer!! She showed my I had to use Fray-Check to mend all the seams by hand using a needle, tedious work btw, and I had to get a fine-tip permanent fabric marker to fill in the holes in my letters. My shot embroidery job has now cost me over $30, STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE IF YOU VALUE YOUR ITEMS!!! read more

The service and products I received were phenomenal. First, the staff here is kind and professional. They took a small image (100x150) that others told me I could not use and were able to custom design the logo I wanted, changing colors and getting it exactly as I wanted. then, in addition to embroidering the items that I wanted from their catalog, they went out and found the other items I wanted from a third party supplier! Make sure you get the exact price up front in writing! I took two jackets in to be embroidered. When I dropped them off I was told there would be a setup charge of $15 and an embroidery charge of $10 each, but she did not write that information on the sheet. When I picked up the jackets a week later, I was charged the $15 setup fee and $20 for each jacket instead of $10. Had I known it was going to be that much I would not have used their services. When I explained what I was told, the only response I got was, "well I'll talk to her". It was pay the $55 or you don't get your jackets back. That is way to much money for a few stitches. It is a cute shop, but they are way over priced. read more
