The embroidery was for my Grandmother, as I had been given word just days before that my Grandfather was gravely ill. We thought we had about two weeks. We did not. When I called to see if there was any way I could place a rush on my order, there was no hesitation. The order was complete the very next day, and they called to advise me as such. There was no extra charge, and even the final charge was on the lowest end of the initial quote. I can't say enough good things about this business and its people. Thank you! PS I will be back for monogramming!

They were closed so we went back this morning. I asked for any kits appropriate for a four year old, and one of the ladies told me to give her a second. She came back with scraps and said they were free so my daughter could find out if she liked it. And then if she did, she had more for my daughter to try. You just don't find this kind of kindness at many shops anymore, and I so appreciate their willingness to pass on their craft like this. I ended up buying some items for myself, and I'm excited to get back on my cross stitch journey while my daughter starts her own.

My sister, who is an avid cross stitcher, enjoyed perusing the shelves and looking at threads and patterns. One of the things my sister was very excited to find was hand-dyed backing and a beautiful pattern for a stained glass window. When she couldn't find something she was looking for, she asked for help and received it. The ladies working there were a little quirky, but I think that's to be expected in a cross stitch shop. We also enjoyed meeting Romeo, the beagle. He was very calm and just enjoyed some sniffs and pets before letting us shop.

Mary is the owner, and she is exceptional at what she does. I searched all over for someone that sews on leather. M K is the only place in this area that does. Besides leather work, she does great embroidery. She takes pride in her work and her first priority is customer satisfaction. I had a short notice order that I needed done ASAP. Mary took my job home with her and completed it at home so I could go out of town the following day. That's going above and beyond! M K is located on the south side of a shared building on the access road of E. Dublin Granville Road. The building looks as though it's a converted house. I'm almost 100% sure the shop is closed on Sundays. It's truly personalized service, every visit we analyze what I'm having done, get into deep conversations about life and current events.
