For threads, there is regular cotton, pearl cotton which is color fast, velvet, a silk and wool combination, sparkly, embroidery floss, soy, bamboo, and even fuzzy. Threads are sold at a pretty decent price. Some are about $2.00. Stitch it yourself canvases aren't just for plain old pictures, they can also be used on purses, make boxes, coasters, Easter baskets with eggs in them and ornaments.
