Delicious Donuts from Coco Donuts to accompany our coffee

I loved my experience with Third Wave Coffee Tours. They were very accommodating for our high school group and showed us some hidden gems in our tour of the city. I can't wait to come back and check out their other tour offerings.

This was a really fun, different kind of tour. I have been in plenty of sight-seeing tours, haunted pub tours, etc but never a coffee tour. There were four of us who went for my friend's birthday and it was interesting, informative and a really fun time. We went to four different coffee houses and tasted several different types of espressos and coffees. Our guide even got us a cinnamon roll snack because we passed by a cafe and commented how good it smelled. I definitely would recommend this tour!

This was really fun. We met in the morning in a coffee shop that has wonderful coffee (of course) and food; I arrived a little early and had a sweet breakfast. Lora gave us a great overview of the global coffee scene and we had a demo and talk about roasting. We then used the street car to get to four other shops, for a total of five. Each barista taught us about something different and provided a sample of a different coffee beverage, plus a treat. I was impressed with Lora's knowledge. I was also impressed with how organized the tour was. Lora provided everyone with a streetcar pass & showed us how to use them. She passed around interesting visuals during her intro. I actually wish this had been longer and not as hurried. The baristas at each shop clearly expected us and were prepared to do a presentation and give samples. Lora also clarified dietary preferences and accommodated vegan and gluten-free needs. I live in Portland and am a coffee person; still, I learned new stuff and discovered a new coffee spot. I'd definitely go on another tour and take out of town visitors with me.

A must do if you"re visiting Portland. Make sure its one of the first things you do. Not only is Lora full of great places to go and knowledge, you can see just how passionate she is about coffee, Portland and the food. Im ready to do another tour. I dont think you could get anywhere near the same education or experience without her. Thank you, thank you, tgank you!!!!

The space feels cozy, welcoming, and full of personality. I especially loved the little post-it wall where customers can leave behind anything they want a small detail that makes the café feel even more personal and community-driven. What I ordered: Soft Cream Matcha One of the creamiest matchas I've ever had! The soft cream was incredibly fluffy and smooth, while the matcha itself was bold enough to come through with every sip and also had a coconuty essence to it. It had just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the matcha. If you love a rich, creamy matcha, this is definitely one to try. Es-Yen A classic Thai-style iced coffee made with condensed milk. This was strong, sweet, and definitely had that much-needed wake-me-up effect! The condensed milk gave it a creamy sweetness while still allowing the bold coffee flavor to shine through. It was the perfect balance of sweet and strong exactly what I needed. Buttered & Sweetened Condensed Milk Toast I originally had my eye on the pandan toast, but it's clearly a popular choice because it was already sold out earlier in the day! So I went with the buttered and sweetened condensed milk toast instead, and I'm so glad I did. The toast was crispy on the outside, buttery, warm, and finished with that sweet condensed milk flavor. Every bite practically melted in my mouth. The pandan toast is definitely on my list for next time! My Portland experience was made even better by my stop at Kaleido Coffee. The owners were so sweet and welcoming, taking the time to give me recommendations and making sure everyone was taken care of even during a busy rush. Until next time, Portland!

The caramel taste homemade and while it may not be for everyone it was a bit over cooked giving the otherwise very sweet drink a touch of bitter bite at the end. While I didn't stay, the shop was lovely and unique with its tables and floor seating. If in the neighborhood, this is a great spot to pause for a bit between the many shops around. This is nothing on the shop, but I always warn when places are in those older parts of town, ie no parking lot and very small congested side streets around. Be care and slow finding parking as it can be a challenge. For me, this shop is worth it.

Great service from friendly barista. I ordered the Chocolate Jesus and my kid had the Arabic People's Latte. Both drinks were unique and superbly delicious with cardamom accents. We stopped in here after playing a round at the Wonderwood Mini Golf. It had been hot and cramped and we really needed a drink. The door was being held open by a line of people and usually that is a great sign. Being busy is awesome for the business and I am glad they are so popular. It was a weekday, probably around 11 am and there were just so many people in line. It was really cute inside but SO chaotic. There were tons of kids screaming and at times it was difficult to tell where the line really was. After about 5 minutes of the line not moving, I started to get a slight headache from the noise and we agreed we would have to go somewhere else. It was probably for the best as all the indoor and outdoor seating was full so there would have been nowhere for us to eat even if we had braved the line. I think when a business reaches this level of popularity, it's important to put systems in place to keep patrons from feeling crowded and overwhelmed and it's definitely something they might want to look into in the future.
