Perry place to have wings and pizza!! Love the people that work there!! Friendly and fast!!

Came in to town late Friday night this place and the other pizza shop 2 doors down were the only things open past 9. My fiance got the heart attack burger which he said 4 slices of bread was to much but otherwise good he added a fried egg to it, I just got the cheese curds which were yummy I always love cheese curds when I'm visiting up north! And then the maple garlic knots were our pleasant surprise we actually really enjoyed them. I would come back! They have a cute outside area that you can bring your dogs to. read more

After reading the reviews I'm left wondering what went horribly wrong with my decision to order a cheesesteak. I'm really kicking myself for not taking a picture of what I was served on Wednesday or whatever day trivia was held. Just to start the presentation was extremely reflective of the thought put forth in the preparation of my meal that I didn't even get to eat. The roll it was served in was burnt, the yellow cheese "wiz" was abundant and the filling, the supposed meat with onion and banana peppers was minuscule at best. The fries that accompanied were lukewarm and soggy. In actually I really feel like I should have been paid to eat such a joke of a sandwich. On the other hand my significant other wanted a pizza so we ordered a large so we'd have something to eat later and even that was abhorrent. So much excess flour that it made my mouth dry. I'm seriously disappointed in this experience and the worst thing about it is all I heard was a little sorry from the waitress and she offered to have it remade but the damage was done and you really can't polish a turd. Total waste of time and money. An especially sad day when I saw about 8 employees in the back cooking and not one them actually could cook. You really can't make this up. The employees are clear that only a paycheck matters and not the reputation and representation of the food. This is a product of the youth not giving a rats ass and the owners fault for letting it happen.. Truthfully last place is just too good for them. read more

Fast service and the place was PACKED on a Saturday afternoon! I had the wings with buffalo and they were the best I've had since being back in VT. Wife had the Vermonter and it was great but a little sweet for me! The boom boom fries were RIDICULOUSLY good, they had a beautiful spicy cheese that was hard to beat! I'd go back just for the boom boom fries alone! Atmosphere was great, clean and polite staff! I couldn't ask for a better spot to go! I can't wait to come back to try the other items on the menu! Well... here we are! In a small quiet college town with no where else to get pizza locally. I'm going to lay it out like this; I have been here twice with my daughter. Both times I could not say were the same. One time fantastic. One time mediocre. I can tell you that as a father of a picky beautiful bratt, if she likes and feels comfortable going to this place, hats off to the people who work there. I'm grateful that this place exists for college students to go eat and enjoy themselves. So regardless if the food is between good and great, support this business as they support their community. Undercooked pizza ... not just the crust but toppings too. Ordered a plain cheese pizza as a replacement. It was undercooked too.

I have been here well over 20 times. It's a college town pizzeria with college kids working there. The pizza may a little inconsistent at times but that is kids for yah! We love the small town feel, the sports bar and Andrew(owner) is a great steward of the local community! The service is always good with that small town charm. Had a couple of slices of the margarita pizza and a garden salad with Italian dressing. Pizza was ok but had their weird taste I couldn't place. When I was done I figured out what it was- the black stuff from their dirty or "seasoned" oven. Salad was good but the romaine was mostly the ribs. read more

Exactly what we needed after a day of skiing. Had the Vermonter pizza which was so good. The maple garlic butter was unreal. Also had the Ladka burger which hit the spot so hard. Fried pickles were nice and crispy. Full rack of ribs and poutine to top it all off and we were very happy after an active day. There was also a guitarist playing that Friday night who really contributed to the fun. He came over and played next to us and stopped to chat before the night was over. Let me start by saying that I grew up in Connecticut and have eaten a lot at Modern Apizza and Frank Pepe's, both are rated as having the best pizza in the country. Food was so good. Staff very attentive! My parents got a panini that was filled with pulled pork- her fries Yummo! Mom got a pond ranch and loved it while dad got ribs! Third Place is a misnomer - their pizzq deserves first place! The crust was crispy, the toppings perfect - it was even good as leftovers the next morning. Service was excellent - our server even suggested we split a single salad as their salads are so large. There is a sign saying they do a trivia night, but I think we were either too late, or they weren't running out this week; we will keep an eye out for that in the future! We visit this area several times a year and will definitely be returning to Third Place. read more

Have got pepperoni pizza and chicken wings from them. Asked to add extra cheese and mushroom and it was delicious. One of the best chicken wings we had. Even the next day we microwaved pizza it's still was great. Nice people and short wait time. read more

Good NY style pizza made by students from the next door university. Very fast delivery, they deliver very late into the night from Thursday to Saturday. A go-to place for a student like me as they do deliver on campus. Not only is the pizza delicious but so are there sides, one of which I ordered, the half moon fried mozzarellas. They were well seasoned which is a refreshing change as most restaurants don't season fried mozzarella at all. They were almost out of mozzarella but they were kind enough to gift me a gift certificate that is equal in value to the dish I ordered. The driver and order taker were all quick, friendly and efficient. I will definitely be returning. Go Spartans! read more

I went to third place pizza because we went to see how the bar looked. They got all there orders correct with 2 adults and 3 kids the staff greeted us politely my first impression was brick oven pizza let's go. I got a cheese pizza, a Hawaiian pizza, and a meat lover's pizza. The pizza was very greasy the way I like it. The cheese was spread out very well and there was not that much sauce but I don't really like a lot of sauce on my pizza anyway so overall very good. The Hawaiian pizza was pretty much the same but with different toppings such as pineapple and ham but does pineapple really belong on pizza nah. The meat lovers pizza was just the best it had beef sausage, and ham. If you have read this and want to go there make sure you order the meat lovers pizza. read more

Third Place is relatively new and it is good to have a solid pizzeria in Castleton. The food is pretty good and the menu is expansive. They have pizza by the slice or pie and a wide expanse of appetizers. However, the prices are a bit high. A cheese slice is $2, pepperoni $2.50 and specialty $3. Perhaps these are more average prices, but I have seen pizza places that will do two slices of any kind plus a drink for $5. The real expensive part is the appetizers. You do not get a lot. For example, I got the pretzel garlic knots and there were 8 bite size pieces for $6. They also were overcooked and didn't taste much like garlic knots. I'd recommend going for the pizza and buying in pie form (even if it is a personal size, which is bigger than what I generally consider personal), it just seems like a better deal. -- I have since upped my review to four stars with recent visits. During my last trip, I got the meatball hero and fries combo, which although it was $10 it was more than enough for dinner and it was delicious. I would still say to avoid the apps for the low quantity and high price. read more

A great new restaurant with great pizzas, sandwiches and some colossal creative burger options. Very clean and priced right. A must try when in the Castleton area. It is well worth the trip. We ordered delivery to the house where we were staying on Lake Bomoseen. Delivery was prompt and nice. We got a large pizza and a salad for dinner. Salad was good. Pizza was pretty good - the crust was awesome but the sauce was sweet, which isn't our thing. There are not a lot of options in the area, so this restaurant is great. read more

Super tasty place! My youngest doesn't like sauce, my oldest has a dairy allergy. They were very accommodating for custom calzones and salads. The buffalo maple wings were VT brilliance and so yummy -- Real maple, butter, and buffalo sauce - they should bottle that stuff. The Vermonter pizza was such a perfect bite of bacon, apple, maple and cheese -yummy! Even the Meat lovers pizza was great - totally loaded with high quality sausage and meat. The garlic knots had fantastic garlic butter sauce on them. We ordered fries for take out that didn't transport well because they are amazing hand cut fries (I imagine they'd be awesome in person). As we picked up on a Wednesday night in June, the place was busy - outdoor music and tables. Definitely want to go back. read more

We were in town for the weekend and we ate 3 meals here! How's that for a recommendation ? My older teens loved it! The pizza is phenomenal! You can smell the dough driving down the street. The cheese, pepperoni, and Carolina Gold pizza were delicious. I ordered an Olympic burger and fries for lunch and I'd order it again. The burgers we ordered were juicy and the plank fries crisp. My boys mowed down a basket of BBQ wings too. The staff was very friendly! This place is on our list when we return here! read more

This is great pizza and probably the best buffalo wings you'll get in a 30 mile radius minimum. The fried mozzarella and fried mac n cheese bites are decadent; I felt my arteries struggle not long after I took those bad boys down. A bit pricier than you might expect, but better quality than you get at those cheaper places. read more

I have had this pizza before and it was like cardboard. I ordered it a second time and had double sauce on it and it was as still less than satisfactory. So I have eaten here four times to give it a chance. This place would have great pizza if the crust wasn't burnt, they actually put ingredients on top of pizza and didn't over charge! I'm amazed that any of the college and community pays for this pizza. Literally not even a whole apple is used for the "Vermonter". Hardly any meat out on the meat lovers. The margarita pizza was the most disappointing! No basil on it, 3-4 small dots of mozzarella on it! Total waste of money! Their prices should match that of Dominos and be at least as good! Chicken wings have little or no sauce when ordering both the buffalo and maple buffalo wings. So sad, this place could rock! read more
