The typical old wood vibe of many UP establishments that have survived the test of time. A spot for pool in the back, guys pee in a trough instead of urinals LOL, there's chalkboard doors with drink specials, random musical performances, a patio out back for hangin and smoking, it's just a great place to enjoy the Yooper life and meet a local or five. It's an easy place to become a regular just based off of the bartenders alone (Tori is a gem, she won't fail to make you laugh). They have great merch like shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, pins, shot glasses, etc. (I designed a few of their stickers while I was in college a decade ago, so glad to see they still sell them grab a buffalo drinking a PBR that I drew while drinking a $1 PBR at the Nickel one night in 2015). Popcorn is available, bubble hockey is a must, try a Nickelade or a green tea shot. I know they had a build your own Bloody bar at one point but I'm not sure if it's a regular thing anymore, if you see it happening don't miss it. Good price for a delicious bloody with all sorts of toppings and fresh cooked bacon! Great prices all around, good people, always a fun time at the Nickel

As it was getting late, we realized that our options for a well crafted cocktail were becoming slim to none. After a couple of google searches and a phone call we found ourselves at Crows Nest; we had no idea we were getting ourselves into such a great experience! Hannah was our bartender, but more importantly, a phenomenal host and entertainer. She crafted me one of the best Last Words I have ever had and made me feel incredibly welcome and at home at her bar. I really felt like a local! The Dry Dock is one of those places in the Harvey area that works best when you treat it like a…read moredependable local bar and grill rather than expecting a polished dining experience. It has a very established rhythm to it, and that familiarity is part of why people keep going back. On the food side, the menu leans heavily into comfort-style bar food, and the execution is stronger than expected for a place with such a broad lineup. I ordered the Loaded Dock Pizza, which is an actual menu item there, and it was surprisingly solid. The crust had more structure than the average bar pizza, with enough sauce and cheese balance that the toppings did not overwhelm everything underneath. It felt intentionally made rather than just thrown together for convenience. Service is where this place earns a lot of its reputation. Even when it gets busy, staff usually keep the flow moving without making customers feel ignored. It has that experienced local-bar energy where people know how to handle regulars, larger groups, and quick turnover all at once without the whole place feeling disorganized. The ambiance is very classic U.P. tavern culture. Sports on TVs, steady background noise, wood-heavy interior elements, and a casual crowd that ranges from locals stopping in after work to families grabbing dinner. It feels lived-in rather than curated, which honestly fits the place perfectly. Overall, The Dry Dock Bar & Grill succeeds because it understands exactly what it is. The food is reliably above average for a bar-and-grill setup, service stays efficient even during rushes, and the atmosphere feels authentic instead of manufactured.

Their pasty's are DELICIOUS. Handmade, huge, great price, served hot and fresh to eat or cold to take home for later. The Bloody Mary was decent but nothing to write home about but I truly came for the food and wasn't disappointed one bit! Great prices, big menu, tons of seating, locals to chat with, and they offer bar or table seating (it also looks like they could accommodate larger parties if needed). I'm pretty sure it was the cheese that added all that extra flavor. I would change the croutons however, they were a bit hard and had no flavor.
