2025 summer vacation: Boston We spent a week vacationing in Boston and the surrounding areas. Of course we had to venture out to North End to check out all the eating places! We came across Thinking Cup one morning and decided to have breakfast here. It's a cute rustic place where you can sit inside to eat or grab to go. I love the display of the bakery goods and the wonderful smell of coffee. The place is pretty clean. We decided to try their waffles. It came with fresh diced strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream. Overall delicious with a touch of powdered sugar. We also purchased the scones to go and they were also delicious!

We came in for breakfast and ordered coffee a cannoli and a chai tea. The cannoli was very gritty and not smooth like it should be. The coffee was fine, and the chai tea was nothing like what I like. Good place for coffee, but you're better off getting a good cannoli at a nearby pastry shop.

Honey Cinnamon Iced Latte

I ordered a honey cinnamon iced latte and thought it had the perfect amount of sweetness. The coffee shop has seating in the front and the back. It's a great place to meet up with friends or get some work done. They also had some pastry items and sandwiches. The employees were friendly and kept the line moving quickly. Definitely give this a shot if you're in the area.

Super cute and solid spot for breakfast and coffee! We stopped here in the morning before exploring the freedom trail and north end. Super cozy, albeit a teensy bit cramped (strollers users be aware). Service was great; they answered all my questions and double checked that the gluten free bread was also dairy free--it was! I got a breakfast sandwich without cheese and my husband got it as is. We also got a ham and cheese brioche bun for our toddler. I enjoyed my sandwich, the bacon was super tasty and cooked perfectly. My toddler ended up enjoying our eggs and bacon as well; my husband liked the brioche bun. Our coffee was good as well; I got a vanilla oat latte half sweet and he got an iced americano. Everything was great and it was a wonderful start to our day. Would for sure come back!

Brown sugar cardamom latte

Really cute spot! Definitely gets crowded fast, but if you snag a table it's a good spot to sit and enjoy coffee. I tried the brown sugar cardamom latte and liked it a lot. The cardamom flavor was very subtle and the brown sugar made it perfectly sweet.

This seamed to be the choice of our group when walking around Boston. Great menu and massive biscotti. Pleasant staff and of course delicious smooth coffee

Very friendly service and good coffee. It gets busy but still has a chill ambiance and could be good for working for even reading. Service was also fast.

Lemon poppyseed scone

Great spot located in the north end! I got a few pastries - lemon poppyseed scone and a Dubai chocolate croissant - and a honey cinnamon latte. Service was friendly and quick and there was plenty of seating. Great spot to meet friends or even study.

Cute no complaints I just don't give 5 stars unless a true walk on water experience. In Boston as a tourist and I just picked a random spot.....not a chain. Small with limited seating but I didn't have trouble with dining in for breakfast. Lots of yummy pastries. Responsibly sourced options. I had the veggie quiche with coffee. It was served on an actual plate with an actual coffee mug and they even had REAL cream . Everything was good.....I remembered to take a picture. The gentleman who waited on me was helpful and polite. Dunkin' Donuts and McDonalds are on the same block. Treat yourself to some better quality food.

Lemon poppyseed scone and cold brew

5/5 - absolutely loved! I am picky with my coffee, especially cold brew and syrups, but decided to try the cold brew with honey cinnamon and it was SO GOOD. Light and full of flavor. Just perfect. I got a lemon poppyseed scone and it was the best scone I ever had. Not dry at all and so delicious. Staff was nice and quick.

Iced matcha latte with soy milk

This coffee shop is ADORABLE! What a perfect stop for a hot cup of coffee on a cold day. The inside was very clean and there were plenty of tables to sit at while we had our drinks. The service was very quick and the staff was friendly. I got a hot vanilla latte with oatmilk and it was DELICIOUS. One of the better special coffee drinks I've had in a while. My friend got an iced matcha latte with soy milk, which was very earthy. I'm not a huge fan of matcha, but if you enjoy matcha drinks that aren't very sweet I would definitely recommend getting one from here. I will be going again next time I'm in Boston!

Best Hazelnut Latte in Boston, this little coffee house in the North End has some surprises. Check out the marionette in the back.

Amazing coffee and light fare. The Thinking Cup is a wonderful sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the North End.

Cute spot, but Wi-Fi down, and iced chai latte was only fair. Great hot chocolate and eclair for the husband, so he was happy.
