A few months ago, a crew from this company (Shawn, Jesse, and Charlie) was hired to help move our apartment neighbor. Funny enough, we were moving on the exact same day, so we were constantly in each other's way.. sharing the walkway, 3 flights of stairs, etc. We all know how stressful moving can be, but this team went out of their way to help us too!! They genuinely restored a little of my faith in humanity. Whenever they had a free moment, or after they finished moving our neighbor's items, they would each grab a load and help us carry things.. simply out of kindness! And before anyone complains, our neighbor wasn't upset. Their help didn't slow down or interfere with his move at all. Their willingness to help speaks volumes about both the company and the team they have. They truly go above and beyond, and that's exactly the kind of service and character you hope to see from a moving crew. I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ. It was checked in promptly and without hassle after return as well. My past experiences with the UHaul place in Lehi (that has now closed) never went this smoothly.
