Wasatch Propane - J - Propane Near Me - South Salt Lake, Utah

Our corporate office required us to switch propane vendors so I contacted Wasatch Propane and told them we no longer needed their tank and that they could come pick it up. It took them a month to come pick it up and when they did they showed up on the weekend when nobody was here, took the regulator off of the propane tank of their competitor and left our offices without heat over the weekend in the winter! They claimed the regulator was theirs, which it wasn't, and were completely unapologetic when we called to ask why they did that. Even if the regulator was theirs they could have contacted us to let us know what they were doing. Luckily the temperature over the weekend didn't drop low enough to freeze our pipes. If you value professionalism and customer service don't use this company! read more

Unfortunately they lost my business due to not wearing masks during the mandatory mask mandate in Salt Lake County. When I asked front desk people about several months ago they said owners told them they didn't need to. I just bought a new tank at a different store. I'm choosing to support businesses that respect my health as well as their own by masking up during a time that was and is tough on all of us, customers and retail alike. read more

None of their inside employees, where you pay, or outside ones either, wear masks. When I asked another person who came in to pay, where his mask was, he said it was broken and he was tested yesterday and was negative anyway. The employees said my mask would protect me from the five of them, all without masks, who were milling around, I stated that my mask protected them from me, not the other way around. They suggested I could buy my propane elsewhere, which I now plan to do. I suggest you do the same. If they cared about their customers, they would obey the county's mask mandate. read more

This was the best service I've had especially when it comes to filling up propane tanks. The guys at the pumps are so quick and efficient. Everyone is so friendly and just wants to help you in anyway possible. I read a review about "masks" in my personal opinion a mask is our responsibility to wear. By wearing a mask ourselves we protect ourselves. We don't live in a perfect world but if someone decides not to wear one you should wear one to safe guard your own safety. Propane tanks make me edgy (probably because I don't interact with them heavily - not had a bad experience or anything, just an overactive imagination that I have to endlessly battle) and when the staff, as if often the case at other place, seems either too lackadaisical or outright incompetent, it increases my nervousness. So, rather than just drive around with an empty tank in my car until I either find a place with a sign that says propane or spot an actual propane tank, or hit Flying J, as I formerly did, I decided to research it and came across this. Obviously there are any number of places I could go, but staffing matters and the guy was quick, efficient and put me at ease. There was a line backing up by the time I left, which to me is the most ringing endorsement there could be. I know it is just propane but filling up my BBQ/camp trailer tank for $12 today was awsome. A good way to take advantage of Utah's low natural gas prices. Those exchanges at the big box places are twice that. Those who drive CNG cars probably already know all about this place. read more

I live in the South end of the Salt Lake Valley and needed a faulty regulator replaced on a propane ice auger, I went to another propane supplier and their attitude was call the manufacturer I cant help you, Mike at Wasatch Propane had an entirely different approach, he didnt know if he could either but his attitude was lets try and make something work, he fixed it , took about 1/2 hour and we were off and running instead of trying to deal with customer service and wait weeks for replacement, used it today, I have been dealing with this company for many years and they are really the best. read more

WTF, its like impossible to get them to come out and get propane. The people in the office are unpleasant, the driver will not call or speak english half the time. Fast, lowest prices, convenient. Just pull up to the pump island that says "Propane Bottles Filled" and set your bottles out. The guy could fill two bottles at a time. You take your slip inside to pay. BTW, they take VISA but do NOT accept AMEX. Wasatch's price was $.70 lower than U-Haul. read more
