What is one supposed to say about a storage unit? It is a boring business. It is not exciting…read more They are not selling you a product that you can take home and wear or eat or admire. I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ. Maybe there is nothing she could have done, but she was very robotic and repetitive about it and really didn't seem to care. Other places around that are also storage units that rent Uhaul have been able to do price adjustments for me. This is also the only one I have ever been to that didn't check to see that you had the electrical connection etc.

In Feb 2024 I called 11 different storage companies on the West side of Salt Lake valley. 10 of them would not tell me what their history is for raising rents on existing customers, and would not connect me to anyone with authority to discuss it. I had been renting from Extra Space Storage for 7 years, during which time they raised my rent an exorbitant 140%, but would never connect me with anyone to explain why. They are currently charging new customers 120% less than me. Bait and Switch! When I called Copperview, I talked directly with the owner, Jim. He explained that he treats existing and new customers equally when he his costs require rate changes. I talked to two different people who have rented from him for years, and they each confirmed that rates have risen reasonably, close to inflation. They are pleased with how they have been treated. I started renting at Copperview in Feb 2024 for the lowest rate of any of the 11 companies I had called, for my size unit. He and his staff have treated me very well. Within the 1st week I had to go to our storage only to find water had drops on the hood, deck lid / trunk and the top of our vehicle that were bigger then a silver dollar. I had brought it the the attention of Melissa at the office that says its condensation. I was offereda plastic covering for my vehicle but what would be the pointof renting a inclosedstorage. Melissa and I had taken pictures of the damage due to the water that was dripping where the screws are screwed in to the aluminum sheet metal roofing directly above my vehicle. This issue was happening constantly as it would rain or snow and as the snow would melt. I had asked if the screws had a sealant to keep the water from entering my storage unit. Melissa said that she will contact the maintenance and have them check. The office staff was appoliget and said that we would need to file a claim with the insurance of the storage facility. My wife had done all the necessary forms along with pictures but only to get the run around between the storage facility and there insurance companie. On 1/30/2025 I had gotten a call from the insurance company telling my that there is no structure damage so my car will not be getting fixed the the insurance company of lakeside storage. On 1/312025 I had received a call from the office at lakeside storage telling me that the owner said she is not responsible to the damaged paint on my vehicle. On April 1/2025 I had talked to the maintenance guy that had said he had fixed the roof in January. This is a business that does not care about your belongings that you have worked so hard for. I strongly believe that your property should come out of a inclosed storage, in the same condition it gone in the storage. The owner has conditioned the office staff to say anything that would keep them from paying for any damages to anyone's property as they said " its condensation ". Because they say its condensation they refuse to take responsibility of your damaged property. I would highly recommend anyone who is at lakeside storage to find a professional storage facility. DO NOT rent from aaa lakeside storage unless you want your property damaged. As a residence of Provo we should NOT allow businesses like this to stay in business that have zero integrity/ honesty. As you see the property and how much the owner of lakeside storage appreciates her property, she only wants your money. She will not worry about your damaged belongings or help to make it right for the renters. Very poor business owners

Very easy to talk to and efficient with the sign up process. The cool stuff is they have a service that is not insurance but will cover up to $2000 in losses at no charge to the customer so I didn't get the email insurance as my stuff isn't worth near that coverage. It's nice not to be mandated to have insurance is your stuff, moving boxes, doesn't need coverage. Also, they have a truck you can use for free. There are requirements for using like gas fill up and don't crash. Anyway, it's day one but so far so excellent. Thanks Bailey!

Easily the cleanest, easiest self storage solution in the area. My wife and I were searching for…read moreunits as we were living from Washington and were in need of a temporary storage solution. I reached out to several solutions on the local area of Spanish Fork, Springville, and Mapleton and Simplex was the first to reply. Samantha is the wonderful lady that runs the place and she reached out with all of the information that I needed and was by far the friendliest person I interacted with during my search. Based off of my conversation with Samantha alone, I knew that I would be using Simplex over the others. The units are extremely clean, very tall (10 ft?), are relatively new and very secure with 24/7 monitoring. I was able to rent a 10x15, a 10x10, and a climate controlled 5x5 unit. It was easy to set up, extremely easy to pay and move in, and a breeze to check out. Our stuff was in perfect shape when we checked after having our stuff stored for 4 months through the summer. I can't stress how awesome Samantha was to work with, as silly as it sounds for a storage facility. She was very accommodating to our circumstances, even let me park a Uhaul overnight when I was in a pinch. She'll remember your name and she'll proactively reach out to see if you need anything. I highly recommend Simplex if you have bay storing needs.
