Wanted to get it done for the first time to check it out. I mainly found two places that had the service My lash girl being one of them. The other place is much bigger and has more of a name but I like to shop locally. I spoke to Darlene over the phone with some questions, she directed me to the website to book an appt. I went through with the request put in my info and everything but no where was there an option to book an appt or see her availability. I called again, sent a text with my availability. Waited TWO DAYS for a reply and then finally got an appt scheduled. THEN, Darlene texts me 3 HOURS BEFORE MY APPT to say that she won't make it back to Katy in time. I'm so upset as now it's been more than a week since trying to make an appt and I finally make one and she cancels on me. She has a strict no show/cancellation policy she holds her customers to but then just unprofessionally cancels appts on customers. I don't get it. She knew she had my appointment why would she not plan accordingly. So we find a new time to reschedule for 3 days later. **I'm finally at my appointment and she starts by asking me how curly I want them. I told her I wanted them the curliest. Then as I'm laying and she's already put the stickies on my eyes and everything she asks if I want "WHISPS OR BABYDOLL". Now this is the first time I ever do anything to my lashes never done extensions or even falsies, so I have nooo idea what she's referring to. She explains the whisps are like flared that pair perfectly with winged eyeliner or Babydoll which are just pretty and curly. I had no idea which one I wanted such a hard decision for me to make at that second without prior knowledge of what she's talking about. So she says she can do an in between one she does for people who can't decide. So I figure that's the best bet since I have no idea what either would look like. The last step for sure burned a lot but I wanted them curled and tinted as much as possible so I put up with it. Once it was all done and I got to see them, I definitely expected them to have come out curlier. But I figured that's just how they look now but they look better and I just didn't want to be disappointed. But I'm so disappointed. My left eyelashes definitely look whispy they all tilt to the left so my front lashes in my inner corner are non existent. My right eye lashes are curled in the middle but not the inner or outer corner and they're not curled all the way just a middle length curl. The point of getting your lashes permed is so you can skip the step of curling them everyday. I STILL HAVE TO CURL MY LASHES EVERYDAY :( The problem is they don't curl evenly or like they use to because of that jacked up perm she gave me. My eyelashes look stupid everyday now I'm so sad! I'm highly disappointed and frustrated for wasting my money, trusting Darlene & the good reviews(that are mainly for extensions), and for messing up my lashes. I was better off before coming in and now I have to wait weeks for it to go away. Please save your money and lashes and go somewhere else. I'm sure she's just better at extensions then perming. She is way too busy to respond to calls or texts in time, isn't flexible for appts, and doesn't care if your happy with her work. She took before and after pictures of me, she said she would send them to me and never did. I asked her for them and she never sent them to me. I might update with a picture once I take my mascara off so you can see how bad they look.

I had her do a pre-wedding look due to I have never had my lashes done before but I wanted to look a little more done up for the big day . I did the natural look and I was really pleased with them . I went back a week later to have a volume refill. THEY LOOKED AMAZING!! I was so happy and looked really pretty with them, but this is when it all went down hill :(. A week later all of my lashes had come off , all but maybe 4-5 on each eye. I was told that I had 8 weeks until the last lash comes off but I didn't think I would be walking around looking like I've picked all my lashes off ( yes, my own natural lashes came out as well and currently working on re-growing.) I took all precautions to make sure they lasted with my make up removal routine . So I text her and said hey , not sure If this is normal but this is what happened. Hah, so she then told me that she would do my whole new volume lash set for 50% off because she had changed glues and she had a few more clients tell her the same things ... well I show up and I had previously made a wax app as well for my brows , well 1.) we ran out of time and 2.) I wasn't upset because they didn't really need them . The lashes looked ah-mazing ( this post isn't about the quality of work she puts out, I have ALWAYS been pleased.) However , my husband texts me a few days later saying " holy cow why was it so expensive this time?" I proceeded to tell him that it was supposed to be half off ( 150$ originally so only should've been 75$) and I didn't do brows . I was charged 200.00!!!!!!!! I immediately text her and said what the heck?! Well 1.) she charged me for a service I didn't even get ( eyebrows) and she charged me the full 150.00$ for something that was her fault in the first place , on top of my 17.00 tip well we go back and forth and I tell her just to Venmo me everything back except for the 75$ I agreed to pay. Lol she Venmo's me the tip and the eyebrows. I text her and text her about the other half of my eyelashes that SHE specifically told me we're half off !!! NOT A SINGLE WORD FROM HER!! That's why she gets one star , I'm not sure why you can't go lower for being a thief . I really liked her and trusted her word and she betrayed me and essentially stole money from me . Awful awful awful business person , can't show up on time ( which I never complained because heck, I have a hard time getting somewhere on time due to my kids , which I know she has two with her), but to tell me one thing and BLATANTLY keep my money lol. I wouldn't trust her with the pay service , just saying . I hope she does well, but I wouldn't trust her .

Tammy was very sweet and observant with how I was feeling, making sure my eyes were stinging, the light wasn't too bright, and that I was comfortable. The lash studio was superrrrr clean and it smelled... amazing! the lash removal cream she used also smelled so so good. Everything in this place just smells tutti frutti! While she was taking my lashes off, she educated me some bit on how lashes work, whats the best kind of curl to have for my eyes, how to make them last longer, how to wash them properly and so on. It made the atmosphere very friendly and not awkward at all. I heavily recommended this place to my mom so she can try it out. Not Linh's lashes...She uses enough glue to have them last, but not too much where you can visibly see or feel the glue when washing. She communicates through text, which I find convenient. She stays quite busy, but if I need to reschedule, I will suggest date & time, and she will either confirm or give suggestion of next available day and time. I didn't know it was in the same plaza as Tree House cafe. Sam did my eyelashes and it turned out just how I wanted. I asked for a natural look that would still open up my eyes. The application took about 2 hours. She took her time and everything went smoothly. I even dozed off a little as soon as my eyes closed. I didn't have any irritations or discomfort during the appointment. For first time client, it's $89 for a classic full set. Refills are usually every two to three weeks. Why I went back, I question every day. She doesn't change the sheets between clients, she offers a blanket every time that I know is not washed between clients, so I decline. She doesn't leave her chair when she calls her next client into her station. I'm not sure how she has time to sterilize her equipment; therefore, I don't think she does. This last time I went to her, I got a horrible infection that resulted in my eyelashes falling out. I have no eye eyelashes! The pain was unbelievable, so much so that I almost went to the emergency room. I couldn't sleep, my eyes were red and felt like they were bulging out of my head! I went to my eye doctor twice and thank goodness my eyes are okay and I'm grateful for that. However, I have no eyelashes! I questioned her in the past about the eye infections I've had and questioned her about her sterilization procedures. In her broken English, she told me she does sterilize between clients. I do not believe that she sterilizes her tools. I've have two friends who have also gotten eye infections from her. One day as I was waiting for my appointment, a lady was checking out and questioning the receptionist as to why her eyes have been so itchy and red the last time she got her eyelash extensions. That should've been my clue, amongst others, to not return. When I go to my nail salon, they open a package of tools that have been through a sterilization process. Hannah's business does not do that! Shame on me for returning and I learned my lesson the hard way. She did return my money, including my tip and offered me free eyelash extensions when my eyelashes grow back, really? I will never get eyelash extensions again. I'm grateful that my eyes were not permanently damaged. My eyelashes will grow back, but I will never get eyelash extensions again. Please be aware that it appears that Hannah is violating health codes. I have notified the health department. She could truly damage someone's eyes permanently! It's just not worth the risk. Hopefully she will get a violation and get her act together by changing the sheets between clients, bringing a new blanket in each time a client walks into her station and properly sterilizes her tools with the proper sterilization equipment. This is a disaster waiting to happen... I was lucky there was only my eye eyelashes and my eyesight was not damaged. Hannah, I've seen that you have responded to others who have given you a low rating. Don't you dare respond to this one with any excuses. Hopefully the health department will be knocking on your door any day now. I would suggest that you get your act together and sterilize your equipment and change the sheets! That's disgusting!
