I relocated to DC with every intention of ensuring my healthcare and medicine would overlap. I…read morewanted to see an assortment of doctors, however; I found my "overlap" time expiring. I researched a handful of physicians and was impressed with the reviews I discovered concerning Dr. Condrell. I weighed the few suggested drawbacks against the abundance of positive remarks, and decided to give him an opportunity. I contacted his office that Monday and was given an appointment the following afternoon. I will admit, I was apprehensive about how quickly I was able to get an appointment as a new patient. In my experiences, this is not a great sign of the physician's competency. I was sorely mistaken. Dr. Condrell sat with me in his office, listened intently to my healthcare history, asked relevant questions, and purposed the consideration of alternative options. I am rather objective and critical of medical professionals. It was pure luck that I was able to get the appointment so quickly. In this case, I was treated like a person rather than a patient the doctor had to deal with. Dr. Condrell is understanding and empathetic to the situations/difficulties his patients are experiencing. He appeared well versed in current medical trends and shifts. Nonetheless, he also comprehends the fact that science does not explain everything. Hands down; if you need a good doctor who is upfront and understands the need for personal medical care, rather than a 15 minute slot, give the doctor a call.

Then I sat in the exam room for over an hour, as I listened to him treat other patients through the walls. If this is what has happened to the practice of medicine in America then it's time to rethink the system. Unsurprisingly, my prescriptions were entered into their electronic system incorrectly.

Other places I've gone to have missed the mark every time...they usually misdiagnose me and give me the wrong Rx! The doctor was very receptive of my concerns, and seemed to genuinely care about the way I was feeling...she even invited me to return in the future for a physical.

After seeing several doctors who were unable to provide the help we needed, I sincerely appreciate her willingness to listen and understand our concerns. When my child was only five months old, he developed very severe rashes- hair falling off, skin peeling and scratching himself that blood was oozing on him every day for months- I cried and wept and was always crying seeing my son. I knew this was not eczema but these doctors kept saying asuch- We were repeatedly told that it was simply genetic, and always felt that our concerns were not truly being heard. We were even advised to stop breastfeeding. We have only recently begun working with Dr. Kannankeril, so she has requested for some tests that non of my current doctors have ever discused with us and we are currently waiting for the results and hoping she will help guide the next steps.
