Appalling experience with the Rockville office. I chose this group because of publicity for two of the docs.
First saw young Dr Abbas who is personable but informed me that he is not a believer in the medical regimen that has kept me stable for 20 years - he advised walks with good friends on pleasant evenings as a substitute. His notes from the visit indicated that I was taking a medication dc'd since the mid-90s.
In a subsequent visit the staff not only lost the personal injury forms I filled out that are vital for insurance payment, but denied that I had ever been given them to fill out!! (I sat in the chair next to the candy dish while I filled them out) and denied having any record of a call to the med tech about getting the injury into the record. Asked Dr. Khludenev to evaluate me during that visit for an injury, but he sent me home without doing the evaluation and made no record of it in the notes.
Before I got home I stopped to call the office and ask whether they had at least recorded the fact that I asked to be evaluated, was scolded for not having requested the proper type of appointment for reimbursement and was promised a call back from med assistant to make sure the request to be evaluated was recorded in my file - that return phone call never came.
I spent the next day in the Holy Cross ER being evaluated and imaged for a head injury and concussion. THEY were terrific.
Several days later I called them again since they hadn't called me, to be sure there was a record that I asked to be evaluated, and was told that Dr K made no note in the record of my visit because, said the young rude haughty front desk woman who was rude to me when I was in the office and then extremely snotty to me when I called about it, if he had recorded the injury, the physical I was scheduled for wouldn't have been paid for. VERY sarcastic.
Even though I had filled out the PI forms while waiting to be seen - in order to get them paid, THEN she insisted that the forms weren't in my file. When I told her they'd better find the forms and that I wanted to talk to the clinic manager, the rude receptionist said she didn't like the way I was speaking to her.
The clinic manager wasn't much help when we complained. Instead, sent me back to the front desk, to the Russian receptionist this time - and she insisted I'd never been given the forms to fill out, so of course they weren't in my file nd of course they hadn't lost them, but that the doctor would add "complained of headache" in the visit notes.
I had not complained of headache.
If you call on the weekend, the telephone recording tells you to "NOTE" that there will be a fifty dollar surcharge for talking to the on-call doctor if the matter could have been taken care of during normal office hours.
This behavior on the part of the office staff amounts to misfeasance. They simply lie, and they are clearly more interested in being paid than in providing medical care to people.
Appalling communication, obnoxious attitude from young staff who clearly feel patients are fools and nuisances - and who won't hesitate to lie to cover their errors. if the gatekeepers and record keepers can't be trusted, the medical care won't be good.
But then, who lets a patient who says she's had a head injury in an accident leave the examining room without assessing for concussion?
If they didn't want me as a patient, they should have told me so. read more
