A Dr. Cristina Natalia Perez Policarpio came in angry that i was on her chart, visibly frustrated asking how i did it. I simply used kaisers choose a doctor option and picked a random doctor. She shushed and belittled me for talking to loud, i have bad hearing as a result of many childhood ear infections. Then when i asked about adhd, she told me that i shouldn't get an adhd evaluation because "they ask too many questions". Then she asked if i believe in god. I said no i don't. She went on to say i should pray to god because only he can help me. This is abhorrent behavior from a doctor, and kaiser should be very concerned to have that sort of behavior at their facility. I experienced this as inappropriate religious intrusion into medical care and a failure to provide appropriate guidance for a documented neurodevelopmental condition. The encounter contributed to my distrust of doctors and made it harder for me to seek care afterward.

This is without a doubt, the best pediatrician group in the area. My children have gone here for good reason. Trust, solid guidance, and experience. You want the best for your children, and this practice is where that's the policy. The office staff is very friendly, and I'd like to thank the advice nurse for their helpful guidance, along with all associated with this group. I don't have any problems getting my son an appointment. They also have wanted to always put my child's best first, despite some outside parties being less than exemplary or mature in an adult sense. Yet sometimes one must deal with life as is, smile, laugh, and just do the best regardless to be a caring person and relatively responsible citizen. The doctors and nurses here care. My appreciation for their honesty, and also being approachable. Working with children professionally, some pediatrician offices are impersonal or not very connected. This one is and they can refer you to other exemplary folks as needed. I'm proud to give these folks five stars, which is rare, but they deserve credit for their excellent medical care for children in this area.

I'll update my review later down the road but I'd feel remiss not giving 5 stars from the get-go; at only a few days post-op I am off all PPIs, active, and understand any discomfort I'm feeling. I also have a thorough list of foods to eat each week of my recovery. There have been no surprises and that tells me how well prepared I was for the procedure. When I was in the recovery room the nurse checked my incisions and actually remarked that "it must be Dr. Gillian" and every nurse/practitioner I encountered seemed to hold his work in equally high esteem. My Mom was an RN for over 35 years and always used to joke "one of them graduates top of the class, the other last, but they both wear a white coat..." It's pretty clear that Dr. Gillian and Divya are metaphorical top of their class and even teach/lecture in the field. It's not about the reputation to me but rather knowing they have done so many of these that if some odd thing went left, they would know how to react. One note: Dr. Gillian is not going to baby you or dispense platitudes. In my case, managing my weight aggressively is a significant part of my care. I was prepared to hear that and though in the moment I might've wished for a gentler "delivery", I prefer honesty and facts - I have plenty of friends and family to be gentle.
