He did a great job cleaning and servicing the mini-split we have in the bedroom. I couldn't be happier with Jonathan. I knew that the system needed to be recharged with coolant. That part of the price was not disclosed in advance, and it was quite pricey - $120 a pound. But it needed to be done and we wanted the bedroom a/c to work. So there it is. Jonathan was open about the cost when he concluded the system needed recharging. The reasons for rating are both the hidden cost of the coolant and a couple of issues with scheduling on Yelp. But the overall experience was very good, mostly because of Jonathan.

I called Southwest Heating & Air Conditioning, and Stephane--the owner himself--stepped up immediately and showed up personally to help. He gave me an arrival window of 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, but recognizing how miserable the heat was, he went out of his way to arrive extra early just to make sure I was taken care of. That level of hands-on, prompt care was just the beginning. When Stephane inspected the system, he uncovered a nightmare: a completely botched, unpermitted, and code-violating installation left behind by my previous contractor. To say I was overwhelmed is an understatement. Fortunately, Stephane's expertise, honesty, and incredible attention to detail completely changed the game. He didn't just diagnose the technical failures, hidden structural damage, and airflow disasters--he stood by me and guided me patiently through every single step needed to hold my previous contractor fully accountable. I honestly would have been completely lost without his guidance and genuine support through this whole ordeal. It is rare to find a business owner who rolls up his sleeves, shows up personally, and combines this level of technical mastery with such profound integrity and care. Because of everything he did for me, Stephane and his team have earned my absolute trust and loyalty for life. They are my go-to HVAC company moving forward, and I am proudly handing out his name to every friend and family member I know. If you want honest, elite-level work done right, look no further than Southwest.

I only have POSITIVE comments for Ector and his company based on the factors below. 1) Unlike other AC companies, AC Bros gave free estimate to come out to inspect my AC unit. His company is located in South Gate, CA, but Ector did come out to my home in Irvine, CA to inspect my AC unit. 2) Ector's valuable and positive customer service, including HONESTY, FRIENDLY, QUALITY, KNOWLEDGEABLE, ATTENTIVE, TIMELY, AND PROFESSIONAL. 3) Ector also mentioned that four screws on my AC unit was missing when he did the inspection. He offered to put the screws back on, if I have them. I told him that I did not know what happened to those screws since my AC unit was inspected by another technician with another company. Ector was my technician in July 2026. He texted me when he was on his way to my house. He was very thorough in checking my AC unit which located on the side of the house under very hot weather in the mid 90 degree and the furnace unit located inside the garage. After he completed his inspections on the AC unit & a furnace unit, checked on the registers inside my house, and then turned on some electrical switches that were turned off by a technician with another company a week ago, Ector did confirm that NOTHING was wrong with my AC unit. After Ector's quality service, MY AC UNIT IS CURRENTLY WORKING VERY WELL NOW. Our family is very glad that I called AC Bros to inspect our AC unit. As a small token of appreciation for Ector's time. efforts, HONESTY, and quality customer service, I did give him some money for the gas since he came from Southgate to Irvine. About one week before I called AC Bros, I did call another AC company that I used in the past. That particular AC company did charge me $49 with a loyalty discount ($99 normal charge) for their technician to come to my house to do the similar inspection on my AC unit, like what Ector did. The technician with another company said it can cost me over 10K to repair my AC unit or around 25K - 30K to replace my AC unit due to the age of my AC unit. Thank you to my common sense, I decided NOT to go through with his NONSENSE recommendations. AGAIN, THANK YOU TO ECTOR WITH AC BROS. COMPANY FOR PROVIDING QUALITY AND HONEST CUSTOMER SERVICE.

After dealing with this issue for so long, it was such a relief to finally have someone who knew what they were doing and was honest with us. These guys are the best. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone having AC problems. Five stars is an understatement. They deserve 10 stars! Their prices are very reasonable too.

But since the original construction of my home had a poor central AC vent design and no kitchen exhaust vent, there were major temperature differences throughout the house. Edison and his team came back several times over the past year and in stages helped me install 2 new HVAC vents and a kitchen exhaust vent, and now every square inch of my home is cool and comfortable. Even better, because the heat pump is so efficient, we haven't noticed a significant increase in our electricity bill, even though the system runs quietly in the background 24/7. Shout out to Thomas, who helped us figure out the vent placement and also installed the vents. These guys are the best. Not the cheapest, but certainly the best overall value. Hire them!
