Not only did I receive no confirmation, but I've had zero response since. Multiple follow-ups have gone unanswered. It's as if they've ghosted me almost entirely. If you're considering Enercare, think twice. Communication is the bare minimum for any service provider, and Enercare has failed spectacularly in that regard.

They sent someone out and told me I didn't need to stay home, as the plumber could handle the job independently. Big mistake. I came home to an utter disaster. My brand new floors had marks, the bathroom looked like a war zone, and to top it all off -- they used my son's school uniform from the laundry basket to wipe up gunk from the floor. They even used one of my face towels to clean the mess. As a caregiver and mother, I had to clean up their filthy work late at night and try to salvage my son's uniform for school the next morning. When I called to complain, the owner, Jason, had the nerve to tell me, "At least it was the shower and not the toilet," and "At least the uniform didn't have fecal matter." That's their standard of professionalism? They threw me a $200 credit as if that would fix the sheer disrespect and unprofessional behavior. No integrity. No accountability. No care for customers.

The salesperson came by the following morning to take a look at what needs to be done. I decided to replace my aging furnace at the same time and the salesperson walked me through the set of rebates that I can get from both Ontario and Enbridge. They also recommended adding attic insulation, which I hadn't done and was much needed. The additional Enbridge rebate pretty much pays for the insulation minus the required energy audit. Constant Home Comfort was able to get local contractors to install the hot water heater and the furnace on the same day. The contractors rolled out a carpet to the basement so that they didn't track dirt into the house and they did a great job of cleaning up after. The contractors fixed some issues with the A/C coil leaking into the furnace. They also taught us how to maintain the new equipment. Constant Home Comfort also took care of the rebates and set up the visit by the energy auditor. They still have to add insulation to the attic, but so far I'm very pleased with their service. Constant Home Comfort takes payment through cheque. They also speak Mandarin.

Misho was quick to respond to any questions I had before the service appointment. He arrived within the scheduled 1h timeframe, and gave advanced notice of exact arrival ETA before he left the service call before mine. He kept me very well updated so I knew exactly when he'll arrive at my door. When he arrived he was extremely courteous and went to work immediately. He had another person with him that was learning the trade. They worked quietly and didn't disturb me while I had a meeting. The toilet replacement was done perfectly, they discovered my previous toilet was leaking which rusted the fixtures and they addressed it. The bidet seat was installed well with everything hooked up. They went the extra mile by using their own wax ring/mounting hardware that were better than the ones that came with the toilet. They tidied up the hoses and tucked everything away so it looks professional, caulked around the base of the toilet, and even adjusted the fill level of the water tank. The work area was cleaned after they were done. The old toilet was put into a box and onto my hand truck along with all of the garbage packed into a bag since I offered to dispose of the toilet/garbage myself. Misho was very nice and went through everything he did, plus making sure that I knew bidet seats were structurally weaker than a normal toilet seat. I'm personally going with Weston Plumbing and Mechanical Services for any future plumbing needs, I highly recommend them.

A month later I see my bill increased by the same amount of the protection plan. I had to call Billing, and the lady advises me she has to transfer me to the "Protection Plan dept". Took another few minutes to cancel. He had to confirm my first and last name to cancel. I do have Plumbing protection plan with Reliance and seem to have no issues there whenever I book an appointment.

Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. Over the years, I have repeatedly dealt with incorrect or multiple charges on my accounts. This has happened more than once, and resolving billing issues has been frustrating and time-consuming. My experience with their protection plans has also been very poor. In my opinion, the plans provide very little real value. When service was needed, they were often unable to fix even basic issues properly. I eventually had to hire outside contractors and pay out of pocket to get the work done correctly. Switching services or adding products with Reliance has also been full of mistakes and poor communication. For a company that provides essential home services, I expected much better reliability, billing accuracy, and customer support. Based on my long term experience, I would not recommend Reliance Home Comfort. Be very careful with their billing, rental agreements, and protection plans.
