I really don't like putting down a local business but this was the worst service I ever experienced in my life. Absolutely disrespectful, no communication from the plumber. I don't want other people to go through this.

They sent someone out and told me I didn't need to stay home, as the plumber could handle the job independently. Big mistake. I came home to an utter disaster. My brand new floors had marks, the bathroom looked like a war zone, and to top it all off -- they used my son's school uniform from the laundry basket to wipe up gunk from the floor. They even used one of my face towels to clean the mess. As a caregiver and mother, I had to clean up their filthy work late at night and try to salvage my son's uniform for school the next morning. When I called to complain, the owner, Jason, had the nerve to tell me, "At least it was the shower and not the toilet," and "At least the uniform didn't have fecal matter." That's their standard of professionalism? They threw me a $200 credit as if that would fix the sheer disrespect and unprofessional behavior. No integrity. No accountability. No care for customers.

    Enercare - What we wanted

One independent contractor says he's unavailable, and Enercare (our gas company) is the quickest to provide a quote and was flexible to schedule within the next week. It turns out Enercare has some hold in my area as independent contractors are getting leads from Enercare in exchange for their company not servicing this area. I found out Enercare takes 40% of the service fee while the outsourced contractor takes 60%. The pro is you get the reassurance of your gas company's recommendation, but you're paying up for it. So try to find someone independent if you can. We provided a picture of our neighbour's gas hookup as a reference. The cost is $450+tax~ to extend our gas line 6ft~ and drill through our garage and deck. This includes a $50 to upgrade to a larger line. We had to pay an additional $30~ to run out to Canadian Tire to grab extra parts for the job. My partner insists on a larger line for more power for the BBQ. Is it just me? There's a trend with men being particular with their BBQ setup. I would've just been okay with propane and no upgrade. However, the hole on our deck and garage is slightly bigger than I would've liked. They did seal the gap through the garage with some clear epoxy-like material. Most importantly, it's working and no explosions. PS For homeowners, if you're also renting the water boiler and HVAC, buying it outright would save you more money if you end up living at the location for more than 5 years.

I like huskies (dogs), but I love Husky Heating and Air Conditioning more! Our weather has been…read moredreadfully cold, with temperatures around the -25ºC mark, with the wind chill (-13ºF). Husky replaced our HVAC several years ago, and we never had a problem with our furnace. Last week, I noticed the temperature dropped a few degrees, and it took a long time for the heat to come back up. This never happened before, even when our weather was colder. I turned the furnace on and off, and restarted the thermostat, which did the trick, but I noticed it was misbehaving again. It was -26ºC this past weekend, and I called the afterhours service department. We discussed the situation and rates, but I made a judgement call to wait until Monday for a technician to visit. We had mini electric heaters in case the temperature dropped dramatically. On Monday morning, the office called to say our regular technician who I requested was unavailable, but they would send someone else right away. The furnace decided to play nice by the time the technician arrived - don't you hate when that happens? After checking the furnace and thermostat, he wasn't able to find any issues, but he did show me how to spot an error code for future reference. We always have our HVAC maintained by Husky, and find their service is friendly and efficient. I'm just grateful a technician came out so quickly, and that our furnace is working fine now!

We called them late on Tuesday and they suggested they come and do a maintenance. They booked us for the following day. Glad we did. It turns out we had a blocked drain. Gregor cleaned it up and then then did a service on the unit. Was a very reasonable price and I feel like Husky really came through for us. No surprise there. Dmitri and his team did a great job on the original install. Highly recommend them for your air con and heating needs. They service the GTA. Note - they gave us a window for the service call and then called when they were on the way to us.
