I called this company for a seasonal service because my gas fireplace would not turn on. I was told…read morethe pilot assembly was rusty and needed replacement, which cost about $700. After the service, the fireplace worked but shut off after roughly one hour. I contacted them again and a technician returned and turned the unit back on, but it shut off again shortly after they left. When I contacted them a third time, I was advised to check the chimney. I personally inspected it and confirmed it was clean and unobstructed. When I followed up again, I was told there may be other issues that would require additional costs and that the problem was not their responsibility, with the implication that I did not know how to operate a gas fireplace. I found this response unprofessional and disappointing, especially since the issue started immediately after their repair and remains unresolved. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

Consistent, Great Value and Service Last November our…read morefurnace gave out on us. It was the day before a major cold snap, and I was absolutely panicked! I called Pro Climate. We used them previously to install a Carrier AC unit in our old house and were really happy with their professionalism and the quality of work. Armando was kind enough to arrange to have the work done the same day as he was concerned that we would have no furnace during such cold weather. His team arrived at my home within 3 hours of the call! They were fast, friendly and super efficient. They cleaned up and made sure to take all of the waste and packaging away. We were thrilled with the service. The other thing to note is that we shopped around the previous year in preparation for our eventual purchase of a new furnace and Pro Climate was significantly cheaper than every other HVAC company we checked. It was the same for the AC they installed in our old house. Hands down they are the most reasonably priced company I've seen. I have been referring this company to friends and family since 2010 and will continue to do so as they are in my opinion, the best HVAC company out there. Everyone I have referred them to agrees! Thank you so much for everything Pro Climate and a special thanks to Armando. I wish all businesses operated as humanely and as professionally as he does.

******* READ IN FULL - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ********** As…read morewe head into the new year, I am writing this review to warn potential customers that Harolds Heating is NOT the same company it used to be. While the 4.8-star rating reflects the honest legacy of the original owner (Mike Sr.), my recent experience under the new ownership of Mike Harold Jr. has been a nightmare of unprofessionalism and unresolved issues. I unfortunately hired them for two separate projects, and both were mishandled: Durham Project, HVAC Repair: Contacted them to do a service call regarding an HVAC install they did a couple years ago. Several times throughout the 2 years, we were left without heat for weeks and waited months for a part they said was the issue. Part was finally installed earlier this year and the system still isn't working properly Toronto Project, New 35k HVAC Install: Trusting them was a mistake. Figured since I knew them it would be a good idea to give them another chance, so I hired them for a full HVAC system at a new site. Within two months, fixtures were leaking and they promised to fixed them and instead walked away and declined to resolve the problem. The service model now seems to rely on sending inexperienced technicians who create more problems, followed by other technicians to fix those mistakes, wasting everyone's time. When I escalated these issues, Mike Jr. initially claimed to take ownership, but ultimately abandoned the job and emailed me to "call someone else" while still expecting payment for unfinished, faulty work. It appears the new management is focused solely on collecting money rather than protecting their reputation or finishing the job. Be very very careful with this organization; the quality has dropped significantly and there is constant turnover. If you make the mistake of hiring them make sure to have your system reviewed by another 3rd party since most of us as owners, consumers, project managers etc are not experts and would not notice the deficiencies. Note - Brian's post on Sept 25th is accurate. "Todays technician" He was lucky to get Brittany who is great. The other experienced tech is Pat who came out to our Toronto site.
