Heard about this place and wanted to try it since we were in SLO. It is in amongst an industrial area. Mostly parking in the street, but there is a small parking lot as well. The place will hold up to 93 people. It is clean with a white and gray tones. You can sit either inside or outside on a small patio area. When we arrived, there were just a few people already enjoying beers. However, quite a few people came in when we did. So it quickly became busy. Instead of going to where the line was, we sat at the bar. Unfortunately, no one acknowledged us for quite sometime. And we asked if we needed to go to the line to be served. We were told we were fine where we were. But still we were not acknowledged to say we will be right with you. Finally, we were given a menu of the beers and the explanation of each one. They do not have flights, which is frustrating if you want to try each one. However, you can do 6 oz pours of each one. But we decided on the Return to Earth Coffee Vanilla Oatmeal Stout and their IPA. Both were smooth and very delicious. Next we did a 6 ounce pour of the farmhouse ale which uses a farmhouse yeast, something you do not find at other places. The beers are a little pricey as they are not 16 ounce pours, at least not the ones we got. Overall, the beers were good and we will be back to try others. read more

This place is great. They do quite a few lesser known / under appreciated beer styles you can't find in SLO whatsoever - and they do them well. Really love their focus on European beers. Not every beer is a legendary 10/10, but they hit more than they miss. The Kölsch, Lagers, and pale ales are my favorite I've had from them so far. Bartenders are friendly, service is good. Atmosphere is laid back. Great dog spot. Nice open design. Beers seem to rotate frequently. Definitely recommend going! PS - Shoutout to the review dude from Bakersfield who gave this place one star due to the oh so terrifying move of having Shepard Fairey street art of "Che Guevara" (it's Marcos, but good try old sport) on the walls. Way to speak truth to power bro, SLO business owners should tone it down with this whole wussy ART stuff! What an outrage! read more

I must say this place has great beer. Never had a bad beer or even a meh beer from here. The brewer has it figured out. I guess if I have to knock em it's that they run out of cans which is petty BUT worth the feedback for them. Instead of spending a couple hundred over a weekend we only spent 100 due to can shortages. Merch game needs work but who if you don't wanna make money there, fine. The beer alone will make them money. read more

Damn good beer. 'Nuf said! These guys have been my go to brewery during the pandemic. They've been cranking out the different brews and always have a good selection of 4 packs to go. The guys at the bar are always friendly and helpful with recommendations. Only sat at the bar once before Covid and it was a chill scene with great style in the tasting room. read more

Nothing to complain about here. It's a nice open tasting room with fast friendly service. They have a lot of good beers and I tried three of them and really enjoyed one of the hazy IPAs as well as the oatmeal stout called Return to Earth. read more

The atmosphere is amazing, low key but lively at the same time. This is one of the only breweries in the area that is truly dog frIendly (inside and out), HUGE PLUS! Their beers are on point, true to taste. If you are a saison lover like myself, I can say they have a few awesome options for you! As well as a variety of ipa, hazys, pale ale, stout, pils and more. Super friendly staff to answer questions. Really great new brewery, they have a food truck pull up for your food needs, and beer to keep you hanging. 100% worth a visit!! read more

A local treasure! The bartenders are attentive and friendly. The beer is delicious. Try their lighter, European styles for a treat that you can't find at most other California breweries. The west coast IPA is also great. I'm not a hazy fan, but they have that oh-so-trendy style on tap as well. The vibe is chill, and there's usually cute dogs to pet. I know some people didn't like the Shepard Fairey art depicting Mao but that is down now and I believe they are going to put up a mural. There is no kitchen so go when there's a food truck if you want grub. read more

If you decide to represent your business in that way you open the door to criticism, and for what it's worth; it seems to be in very poor taste. Yes you could say there have been equally bad capitalists I suppose, but ok, so don't have their picture either. It's not like there were 12 paintings and 2 of them were communist in nature. It was all of them. And they were of specific , objectively bad people. Kind of a weird vibe to inject into an otherwise nice setting. Again, not trying to be political, but these are literally known mass murderers. I wouldn't drink next to a Hitler poster, and also will not be back to drink next to a Chairman Moa etc painting. In San Luis Obispo we are blessed to not only have beautiful weather year round but also some of the best breweries. This place is definitely one of the top few. Located in an industrial area not too far from the core of the city, the taproom has a very clean European look and vibe. Although I have seen it get packed, there is usually plenty of free parking. The names of the beers are unique and on theme but not gimmicky. Every detail in this place appears to have been carefully thought out. The beer styles are in familiar territory with pilsners, saisons, hazys etc but with the brewers own take on them. Over a few visits I think I have tried them all and they are all good but my go-tos are the hazy or the hoppy pilsner. Definitely check this place out. I think the food trucks are rare so plan to eat before or after you visit. read more

Mmmm! They don't offer flights, but you can do six-ounce pours for $5. They have food trucks on Thursday nights and it's super busy Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday afternoon was a great time to visit. The head brewer, Max, is a really rad dude. A true SLO gem. Really glad they came onto the scene locally and they continue to deliver. They pump out well crafted beers of all varietals. I'm a local. Great beer! Gotta work on website tho. Site says open for 'to-go' orders daily. No contact info, so I showed up to place a to-go order. Door was locked so I waited for them to open at stated website covid hour. Long hair guy finally came out and obviously did not appreciate my presence. He was fairly aggressive at first, then mellowed out a touch when I stated my intention to purchase, but nevertheless unfriendly throughout. I look forward to discussing this interaction with long hair guy in the future but in the interim I would suggest placing your order online then I assume they will tell you when you can come on property and be welcomed. Noticed this place on social media as a slo local. Was pretty hyped to try the beer. Maybe they were having a ruff day but the bar staff seemed like they were in a really bad mood. O well on to the beer I said and ordered two samples of their Nest and Lunar pollen hazy ipa's. The building and setup was pretty cool but the beer was majorly lacking. Off putting aroma of brewery waste water/baby diaper on the Lunar pollen. The Nest was better but had the same smell once it warmed up. Will try again next year..maybe read more

The staff is ridiculously welcoming, knowledgeable, customer-focused and dedicated. The brewmaster is second to none. Love the Dawn Keeper (Hazy IPA), the coffee stouts and oatmeal stouts, and the Farmhouse ales are freggin amazing. The design and vibe of the brewery is stunning, creative and unique. read more
