The last time was during Christmas which it was Christmas on crack here but in a festive good way. I did get carded walking in, lol... We alway like to utilize the upstairs loft area for drinks. It's a fun spot with cozy lounge and chairs. You have the main communal seating area right in the middle where you can mingle with other guest. There's bar seating along the bar counter and two sections where it's like a private area with sofas along the wall. Somewhat a vip section upstairs. Cocktails are alway good. Same as last we came for the spicy margaritas and it was as good as we remembered. For the price, totally worth it. Let's say a few was had and a headache to prove it. Service was and has alway been great. All the staffs were amazing and very friendly. Even with all the crowds ordering, they were cracking out the drinks pretty fast. It's a full bar so whatever you need, I'm sure they can make it. The place is beautiful and well laid out. Main restaurant and bar downstairs. Along one side of the place is the bar. You have seating all throughout and then the upstairs. A fun place. A big college hangout but the crowd was great.

Both got dishes featuring short ribs, him the mac and cheese, me the entree with mashed potatoes. Pros 1. The pre-dinner cocktails were tasty. 2. The servers were very nice. Cons 1. Wanted wine with dinner. In the middle of California wine country they had only a handful of supermarket-quality wines. 2. The short run was dry and not very flavorful in both dishes. 3. The starches on both plates were not well-prepred. The mac and cheese was SO dry and the mashed potatoes were cold and lacked seasoning. 4. The starter or appetizer selection is quite limited. This wasn't a good meal, and it wasn't a cheap one, either. We won't be back.

We were helped initially by Austin, who is a very fun and interactive member of the Nightcap team. The drinks were carefully crafted and delivered with friendly banter from Austin. Later, we decided to head over to Granada Bistro on the other side of the hotel to to get a table for dinner. The host let us know all their tables were reserved but if we wanted to wait for about 30 minutes they would work to create some space for us. Meanwhile they offered to continue drink service for us in their waiting area. Next thing I knew we were being whisked back over to Nightcap and Austin was back letting us know that he'd be taking care of us and our dinner orders. He sat us right back in the corner booth we had before we left, even though it was busy at that time. The meals were delicious, the drinks heavenly, and the service prompt and cheeky, just the way we prefer it. Thank you Austin and Grenada for a wonderful evening. We will return.

I had the Paloma cocktail and it was well balanced and beautifully presented. The chips and salsa were good but on the smaller size - salsas were flavorful and not too spicy. The beef plate was good with a mid rare steak (how I like it). Would've liked to see more guac on the plate and there were some small squash things in the vegetable mix that were a good sr flavor addition. I was able to add tortillas to my order which helped make the plate into some tacos. Finished with some churros which were warm, a good amount of cinnamon, and came with two tasty sauces. Our server was so nice and spoke about the area and made some suggestions of places to see. They were attentive to tables too which was nice in a full busy restaurant. Would recommend!

You walk into a place like Condesa and you know pretty quickly whether it's trying too hard or if…read moreit actually gets it. This one gets it. The room is tight. Not cramped, intentional. Low light, clean lines, just enough edge to remind you that someone here has spent time in Mexico City and came back with ideas instead of souvenirs. It hums. A young crowd, good clothes, better energy. The kind of after-work spillover that feels less like the Central Coast and more like a warm night in San Jose. Carefree, a little loud, and exactly where you want to be when you are not ready to go home yet. You sit down and the first thing that hits the table is guacamole, but not the tired, over-mashed version that shows up everywhere else. This one comes alive with thick, unapologetic slabs of pork belly chicharrón. Not delicate. Not subtle. Crunch that echoes. Fat that lingers. It is the kind of bite that makes you stop mid-conversation and rethink what the rest of the meal might look like. Then the enchiladas. The mole is dark and layered, a little mysterious in the way good mole should be. It does not beg for attention, it earns it. There is depth there. Chocolate, spice, something smoky, something almost bitter in the right way. The kind of sauce that reminds you this dish has history, not just a recipe. The enchiladas suizas come in brighter and greener. Creamy without feeling heavy. Balanced. If the mole is a late-night conversation, the suizas feel like an easy laugh that turns into something more. And the drinks are where the place really shows off. A passion fruit 75 that cuts through the richness with just enough acidity and sparkle. Then a hibiscus mule that is floral, sharp, and just dangerous enough that you finish it faster than you meant to. These are not afterthoughts. They are part of the experience. That is the thing about Condesa. It understands that food and drink are not separate. They are one long conversation. It is not trying to be traditional, and that works in its favor. Too many places hide behind authenticity like it is a shield. This place moves forward. It takes what it loves about Mexico City, the energy, the layering of flavors, the confidence, and brings it here without watering it down. You leave full, a little buzzed, and thinking you should probably start going out more on weeknights.

I've tried almost all the pizzas (especially during Mondays as they are half off) and my favorites are the Salmon & Caviar and Mushroom pizza. You honestly can't go wrong with the Mushroom with goat cheese one but if you're feeling a treat, do get the salmon and caviar!! It is so so good, got to try it and definitely will try it again! The service now has disappointment me every now and then. Sometimes they take long to get to your table, sometimes the wait is so long and wait time is inaccurate, etc. but there are times when service is really good. So I don't know! I ordered the lychee cappuccino, which was unique and really well-balanced. The lychee flavor was subtle--I personally wouldn't have minded a bit more intensity--but I really appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. It still let the espresso shine through, which I always prefer. For food, I had the steak breakfast burrito, and it was cooked perfectly. The burrito on its own was maybe a touch under-seasoned for my taste, but once I added their housemade verde sauce, it completely came alive. That sauce is seriously next-level--bright, flavorful, and exactly what the dish needed. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, happy to offer recommendations and clearly proud of what they're serving. You can feel that they're really trying to create a welcoming, thoughtful experience here. Definitely a place I'll return to--and recommend to friends. Great coffee, solid food, and a space that just feels good to be in.

On arrival, my service dog was heeling calmly and under full control while the bouncer spoke with us. Despite this, I was told I could not enter because the establishment downstairs had previously had "an incident" with a different service animal. Denying access based on a past experience with another dog is not lawful. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, service animals may only be excluded if that specific animal is out of control or not housebroken--neither of which applied here. My dog was behaving impeccably and performing their trained tasks. Loudness, past incidents, or personal assumptions are not valid reasons to refuse a service animal. This was not a misunderstanding--it was a refusal of access based on disability. I hope management educates their staff on ADA compliance so future disabled patrons are not treated this way. I will not be spending my money here and urge others to do the same based on their discriminatory behavior.
