Wow, what an excellent local brewery! Looking for some evening bite after a late lunch and this place was nearby where we were staying, so gave it a walk to try it. Seemed to close early, 8pm, for a brewery, but I guess it's a quieter area. Arrived past 7, hoping we can still get food and we were still good for food and beer! Ms. Kristie was so efficient and friendly and awesome, hustling back and forth from reception to seating and dropping by to check on all the patrons. Like a one woman show! I went for the Peanut butter falcon since I like a good brown beer. The peanut butter was initially nice, but it kinda became tiring as the sips went along, since peanut butter seemed a bit much over the beer. Got wife the German Pilsner and that was excellent! Smooth with a hint of malty sweetness too! I am thinking maybe the Lawn Order blonde ale is probably going to be great as well, but too full from late lunch to consume more than one. For food, went with the birria melt and the salmon salad. Birria melt had some awesome authentic flavors to it! Kid devoured it with the consomme. I enjoyed a quarter of it, but too full, so worked out perfect since kid didn't want to share more either, lol. Salmon salad was perfect! Pan seared on both side for that wonderful crust yet tender goodness. Salad dressing with cherry and almond slices made this salad so enjoyable while staying lighter. Was not expecting such salmon from a brewery, excellent food here! Locals seem to love this place too until closing time I guess, since a group that seemed to be bar hopping arrived exceited when we got there too:) read more

My daughter had the Fish & Chips (yep, same amazing fries) and loved it, and my other daughter went for the cheeseburger. Everything was delicious and the portions were HUGE. We ate outside, and there's a ton of seating which made it super chill. Service was quick, prices were fair, and the menu has so many appetizers and tasty-looking dishes that I'm already planning what to try next. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to! read more

Stopped here on a road trip because we were looking for salads and seems like a good spot for that. Both our salad were great! Interesting options and good dressings. However, with being pregnant I really wanted chicken strips. There was no chicken strips on the menu so asked if I could order a kids chicken strips and I was told no. I was willing to buy both a green salad and chicken strips. He came back to say they actually have chicken strips just not on the menu. But I still had to order the adult. Okay fine. I was bummed because I knew I didn't want 4 full size chicken strips and ended up throwing 2 away... We also got an order of fried pickles. Delish. Good sauce. I was in town visiting with family and we had been to this spot before and decided to come back. They have some of the best bar snacks I've ever had. It's hard not to order everything on the menu. Still haven't tried any beers but plenty of other patrons seem to enjoy their selection. I did try their house brewed root beer and the flavor was good but lacked carbonation. The food comes out quickly, hot, and cooked the perfection. I love their pinkie spears, such a strong but delicious dill flavor. Their corn dogs are also amazing! If you're coming for the beer, their hazy was delicious and would highly recommend! As for the service, it was mid range.... No one was super friendly and they seemed put out by us being there. The location is great and the staff if very friendly and attentive. Staff is easy 5/5! The food for me was just ok. Fried pickles- the pickles themselves were good but the batter was very bland. The Cajun aioli was delicious but I wish I didn't need to dip every bite to get the flavor. Fish tacos- again, very bland. The batter was lacking flavor and even the fish. Felt like there wasn't even salt there. Good portion and the slaw on top was fine but it needed so much more sauce or the fish to be seasoned. Hanging out on the Central Coast, we stopped in for dinner at Humdinger Brewing in the Village. We were seated right away and our server was really friendly. We sat inside as the front patio was full. The vibe was cool. Mr. B found a beer and I had a glass of wine. We started off with a dish we love, and their version of Poutine didn't disappoint. Fries topped with rich gravy and covered with Beef Birria and fried cheese curds, life doesn't get much better if given the chance for a last meal, poutine would be it. For dinner, Mr. B went with the fish tacos, and they were topped with crispy slaw. They were really good, the only thing missing was some salt. The fish wasn't salted and was a tad bland. I ordered the mushroom tacos and they were delicious. Parking in the village can be a bit tricky as it is street parking. But we were able to find a spot out front. This is my favorite spot in the Village. I've been at least 6+ times since I moved to the area 3 months ago and everything I've had has been superb! I've had the Iceberg Wedge Salad, the Smash Burger, the Poutine Fries, the Birria Grilled Cheese, the sweet potato fries, and the Churros. The churros are literally the best I've ever had (and I order churros every time they are on a menu) Everything is always flavorful, cooked well and reasonably priced All of the beers I've tried are also top notch! Came here for brunch, and let's just say I'm not a huge fan of eggs, which makes brunch in many places super hard. I ended up getting the brunch burger, which was perfect, it has an egg on it, but between the burger, hashbrowns and cheese it was not super noticeable, the perfect brunch. We also shared the steak scramble and veggie breakfast burrito which were also fantastic. I'm a huge fan of their banana berry rough patch hard seltzer, it's super light and yummy. The service is great, and there's always live music which makes for a great spot. The people are great and will come back again. read more

They are super flavorful and like the name says, "crispy." I also ordered a Dark Tank Irish Stout and Personal Trainer IPA for drinks. Both were really good and locally brewed. Nice ambiance with curbside patio that's pet friendly. We sat it the open-air window seats under the heaters. The staff was friendly and service was good. The waitress helped us with drink recommendations. Will return next time we are visiting. Parking was difficult since the local downtown streets are under reconstruction. I was thrilled to discover what might be the best root beer in the world--Hank's Genuine Gourmet Root Beer. We also tried two beers: the Lawn Order and the Fog Crusher. What an amazing find this was! We were camping nearby at Pacific Dunes Ranch and we love checking out local breweries when we travel, so we thought we'd give this place a whirl. We were not disappointed! I had the Philly and it was absolutely delicious, those dipping potatoes are fabulous too. My husband loved his pastrami sandwich and the kids and our friends all loved their food too. We tried the IPA and the Hazy and both were great after a long day at the beach. Came with a large party they quickly accommodated. Started with the burria poutine- excellent! I had the hot pastrami and a second beer, fiance had the Blt which had no shortage of bacon, others had the salmon salad, fish and chips, Korean bbq wings & chicken tenders. Humdinger Brewing in old town A.G. has some pretty good Yelper reviews...on this evening that was the draw. Location is fairly easy to find and there was available street parking. I was disappointed with the atmosphere (looked like a cafeteria) but undeterred due to the reviews of the offerings. The restaurant is more or less open air and that added a chill to our evenings dining experience which did nothing to add to our experience (we left our coats on). The service was just okay and the Servers had no cohesive identifiers (looked like they could have been customers). We ordered two Snacks/Appetizers: FRIED PICKLES w/zesty cajun aioli (4/5) and a "BIG SOFTY" PRETZEL w/cheese sauce, stone ground mustard (4/5) and two Mains: FISH & CHIPS - Humdinger beer battered cod, crispy dipping potatoes, spicy tartar sauce (4/5) and a FRIED HOT CHICKEN SANDWICH - remoulade, cabbage, pickles, Nashville sauce (4/5). Needless to say the food was really pretty good. So why then the given Star rating? As I have mentioned in previous reviews...the dining experience is more than just the food...it's also the atmosphere and general appearance of the establishment, it's the Customer Service and the enthusiasm of the Servers and Crew, it the level of comfort (seating, tables, temperature) experienced during the service and the value one feels given the price of the experience (I felt the total "tab" was high given the venue). So although the food was really pretty good...I wouldn't necessarily describe the total experience as exceptional. Therefore, for this experience...in this Yelper's opinion, Humdinger Brewery in A.G earned a "go if the food is all that matters" average 3 Star review. read more
