Cool local brewery! The interior has a bunch of seating options from couches to hightop tables, and some cool decor. The bartender was friendly and patient with my friends and I when we were being indecisive. They let us sample anything on tap. They also have this really nice outdoor seating area where they often host live music. Came here for bingo night with some friends and had a good time although the caller went extremely slow which made us lose interest pretty quickly. This review is for the new location in old orcutt! The service is quick and friendly. There are a variety of beers to choose from and the ambiance is pretty good. It's a little tight in there and can get loud but it's not terrible. I think if they add a couple more tvs, this would be a great place to go watch a game. Midnight Munich- I believe this was a stout and it was great. Smooth and not too in your face like a lot of stouts tend to be. Price is average to other places so no complaints there. Another brewery in an industrial park, though this one was way more spacious than I expected, with a large open area in back featuring a raised stage, a decent sound system, and plenty of outdoor seating (about half was shaded). This was the final stop in a short SLO brewery tour some friends and I were engaged in. (One of them had just moved here). We arrived just after visiting a local grocer to grab items to grill. (Cuz the secret to a *driving* brewery tour is to have one beer per stop...and space out the stops). I wasn't crazy about the beer selection on our visit here. It was smaller than I expected; and they had none of the enjoyable LG brews I've found on the shelves at home. But I settled on a single IPA that was decent - I'd say 6/10. Food was offered through what appeared to be a semi-permanent food truck with taqueria fare. We chose not to partake, and we noted most others were in the same boat. (But it was just before dinner). The vibe was great here in the late afternoon. The place was half-filled with a mixed, happy crowd, including locals with dogs and a few kids. A band from the Bay Area started their second set (rock covers), and we spent the majority of the time guessing their day jobs (e.g. "I think the bass player is definitely an electronics engineer"). We never did ask the band after their set, but I still have no doubt the lead guitarist was in sales. After a short but nice time, we were off to make some dinner. read more

Really great beer, amazing outside patio area with some cool fire places in a few spots, and a nice indoor bar. An absolutely must visit brewery if you're visiting San Luis Obispo. My reason why I liked Liquid Gravity Brewing so much is the beer they make really stood out to me. I always like checking out breweries when I'm visiting a town. Granted I enjoy a majority of the breweries I visit I never really have a beer that stands out enough for me to get some to take home. Here I ended up leaving with four different beers to go. I had one sip of the Orange Cream machine double hazy and instantly knew I had to bring this back to LA for my friends to try. Im a big fan of Hazy IPAs and the variety they have here are top notch. While I was putting my order of to go beers together I got to talking to one of the bartenders and she told me about the breweries history and the beer making process. I ended up tasting a few more beers and found out they make some pretty good American IPAs with solid flavor and none of the extra super bitter taste at the end. My next visit up to the central coast I'll make sure to stop by here again. read more

I do like trying out the breweries in California! There are many of them and each one has a lot to offer! Liquid Gravity is another brewery from California that I have tried recently that I enjoyed! From this brewery I had two different beers from Liquid Gravity, both very enjoyable! The two I had seem to be popular beers for this brewery! First one up is their West Coast IPA. Not a bad beer at all but when it comes to coast styles with IPA'S I realized I like the east coast ones just a bit. This IPA has some nice hoppy flavor to it and the typical signature style you get with the west coast IPA. The second one I liked quite a bit more and found it very enjoyable! The Crispy Life Pilsner was the next beer we had from Liquid Gravity. All the clean, crisp with hint of biscuity flavor was there with this good pilsner. Very easy to drink and to kick back and relax to. All in all very solid beers from Liquid Gravity and that's experiences I'm looking for! read more

We were so pleasantly surprised by this place! We came for the Yelp event and decided to buy some of their beers without even trying them. Due to Covid, you could only buy beers to go... they had cans available for purchase as well as growlers. We were hesitant at first to purchase beer that we've never tried before, but decided to go for it! And, seriously, totally glad we did! I got a growler of the strawberry kiwi ipa.... wow!!! Just opened it tonight and it's damn delicious!!!! We also got a couple cans of the orange kush ipa which was also so yummy!! They do have this awesome outdoor patio that I wish we could've sat out and enjoyed a beer.... but hopefully soon! All of the hype is so real and so worth it! This place has delicious beer and an awesome vibe. The people that work there are super rad, especially the owner's wife. Love her! They often have food trucks, so check their Instagram stories to see who will be there. Right now, they always have one on Wednesday night. They have zero problems with you bringing in food for ordering it. Also, they don't have a bike parking out front, but they do have it in the back. You have to wheel your bike through the inside, which is a little awkward if it's busy. The owner' wife said that they are working on a spot to put some outside in front. For now, they're more than accommodating when you bring your bike through the brewery. Also, there are some a couple businesses down. Check this place out! You won't be disappointed! read more

Wow this place is just opened and the beers are already killin' it! They have five beers in a wide variety on tap tonight but looks like they will have several more once they get rolling. Double NEIPA is especially outstanding. Huge back patio with fire pit and stage for live music. Inside has plenty of room at bar, tables or hang out nook. Lively but friendly atmosphere makes you feel like you are at your buddy's house but much cooler and he isn't giving coors lights all night. I have been there twice already and each time was given exceptional service and great beer. Monica was super awesome and always willing to chat, if she isn't serving other guests. Their low calorie beer is excellent for only being 100 calories. So those of you trying to watch their waist line, this is far better option to the bottled stuff at the store. Has a great flavor and is a great meal replacement. Miami Hiest is a super delicious hazy and my go to. However, a new challenger has come into the scene for me is their Orange Creamsicle beer(sorry don't remember the exact name). It taste like you are drinking an orange creamsicle but for adults. Overall super impressed with this place. Best part is I can easily walk there from work. So I know the other 1000 people I work with will start coming more often read more

Went for a different pick up event at their location but was excited to try some of their beers. For it being very quiet and only 7-8 beers on tap, pretty disappointed that not one but two of the beers I wanted as Crowlers to go was told "oh sorry we just ran out" so I was pointed over to the cooler for prepacked cans. So I picked up a couple 4 packs and the beers were good. For the location even when things open back up don't know if I'll give them another try. I understand you run out of beer but when I'm there shortly after opening and was told "we were running a sale special to clear out some beers that must be why we were out" not a reason to come running back. read more

We've visited the brewery 2x - once to get beers to go and once sit down when they were allowing dining. Hands down, really good beers. A bit pricey but we can justify it because it's good and for a smaller county like SLO, we get it. Two main cons: 1. The main beer tender was rude; we encountered this rudeness and lack of customer service both times we were there. Being from San Diego and having visited numerous breweries during COVID, we understand that many places weren't allowing splashes and/or tasters. However, there's no need to be rude about it and you can say we don't do tasters without sounding rude. It wasn't just us, our whole party was there at various times and interacted with her on different occasions independently, and all thought she had poor people skills. 2. When we visited and were able to sit outdoors, they had at least 5 ipas, 1 pilsner, and 1 stout. The website definitely wasn't updated as it showed that there was going to be more variety of beers (i.e. sours, hard seltzers, etc.). At this day and age, you should still have more of a variety. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they may have ran out because it was busy, and luckily the group was impressed with their other beers on tap. Great beer. Bad service. Still would recommend to others since there's not too many options in SLO. However, when we visit again from SD, we won't be visiting again just to have to interact with such an unpleasant beer tender. read more

liquid gravity brewing brews excellent beers. 5 stars (that was easy, huh?) okay, i'll give you a bit more... i liked tap it okay, but glad lgb took over and took it took the next level. seriously great beers. here are my favs: drama king - west coast dipa - 8% abv - this double ipa is loaded with citra and mosaic hops and bursting with notes of tangerine zest, passionfruit, lychee and a touch of dank. weighing in at 8% abv. miami heist - hazy dipa - 8.0% abv - 50 ibu miami heist is a hazy double ipa brewed with centennial and citra hops. pale from the crypt - west coast pale ale - 5.5% abv pale from the crypt is a big, bold, unapologetic west coast pale ale. hop fx - west coast ipa - 7% abv - hop fx is an experimental playground for different hop varieties and brewing processes. liquid gravity ipa - west coast ipa - 7.0% abv - 65 ibu liquid gravity ipa is a modern west coast ipa with a bright, tropical hop character, refreshing bitterness and crisp finish. take your pick - they're all outstanding! of note: orange cream machine - hazy orange creamsicle dipa - 8.0% abv i liked ocm okay, but it's a one 'n done for me. the taproom has been cleaned up, improved is a nice place to hang (long gone is the home depot orange that ruled the day when tap it was around.) if the food truck (mexican food) is present, get the barbacoa tacos - insanely good! great covid-19 protocols - strictly enforced - thank you! solid 5 stars! read more

Had to come check them out for their opening weekend. The owner was formerly the head brewer over at Central Coast Brewery, and we were big fans of the selections over there. Liquid Gravity did not disappoint! I had a delicious guava sour, and my husband had their Liquid Gravity IPA. Super smooth. Personally, as a non-beer drinker, I love that they have a sour on tap. The indoor and outdooor spaces are great. Lots of shade and sun depending on where you choose to sit. There is a stage too, so it'll be great for future concerts. We'll be back for sure! read more
