The ultimate spot to grab a gift for any occasion and also a lovely place to just browse! I was in the area getting last minute groceries and decided to drop by since it's been awhile since I've been to a Therapy store. This is my second time here and the entire area used to be open to browse but looks like half the store is sectioned off. Nonetheless, there were still a variety of knickknacks and whimsical pieces, such as adorable stationary, cookbooks, funny pet items, stickers, a small selection of clothes, etc, at relatively reasonable prices. I've been to a couple of Therapy stores but this location definitely stands out: there are a lot more diverse options here. As always, I love the local custom items, like this jewelry dish I found that says "someone in San Bruno loves you". Extremely friendly and welcoming service. While I didn't purchase anything this time, I did notice that there were so many delightful baby gift options so I'll definitely be back to get something for a friend who is expecting in a couple months! read more

This is the most amazing and dangerous store. Amazing because everything is adorable and it will give you cuteness aggression and dangerous because you'll want to buy everything I've been on some major retail therapy after my dog died and my husband and I randomly stopped by this store after lunch with the family. Jaya (sorry I might be getting your name wildly incorrect) was super helpful in guiding us through what is available in the store and sharing stories about the artists who've created many of the different items. Everything feels curated by the best tastemakers so all you need to do is walk in and see what you or someone you'd like to get something special for would like. It's obvious many of the books are also carefully and thoughtfully chosen and Jaya confirmed the owners are very intentional about what they include on the store shelves. I ended up buying 4 items of clothes and a wireless little table mushroom lamp. I was tempted by everything else including jewelry and a felt rainbow home decor thing. Money can't buy happiness and it can't replace my dog but these things have brought me some joy and therapy. We live in San Francisco so we're excited for the Mission location in SF as well after experiencing this amazing San Bruno store first! read more

I go to this store for last minute gifts since it's close enough and convenient. I'm mainly writing a review because of my experience with their hours today. I came at opening time (11am) and they posted that they'd be opening later at 1:30pm. I was frustrated their times weren't updated online but sure, I can make 1:30pm work. I come at 1:30pm and the time has been updated to 2pm. I call and the person tells me 2pm but 2:30pm the latest. I can't make that work anymore and no time to get something elsewhere. I know this is a rare occasion and I'll continue to come here but this took an hour of my day. I'm writing with the hope that they'll reflect their hours accurately moving forward. read more

This lovely store doesn't offer counseling ... but the (Retail) THERAPY is wonderful... well laid out goods- essentials and fun stuff... friendly staff... great & unique merchandise. We met Piper, who is an enthusiastic salesperson- she helps pick out and stock the store. She was helpful, knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. This is the kind of store where * shopping is fun * perfect gifts for friends * quality items & some things - where you just have to say Wow! That's perfect for my sister or Bestie... Or Me!! I saw this mug (pictured) in the window and immediately knew it was the right one to give to my loved one, since we met in Millbrae (but that's another story). The cashier was very gracious, asking questions politely in a way that made me feel her genuine interest and involvement. I can only say one thing I didn't like about this place - the prices, which are quite high. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Therapy store in San Bruno while grabbing some lunch the other day. I've been to their SF location in North Beach and even one in Portland but didn't realize they had opened in this area. The space is nice and big, full of cute city specific items, CA items, men's and women's apparel, some dog & cat items and kids items as well. Lisa was amazing to talk to and so very kind. We definitely need more people like Lisa running retail stores. It made the shopping experience even more enjoyable! I bought an old school PVC coin keychain and dog toy. We have been going to Therapy for years for small gift selections. Now they are in San Bruno, which is the same direction stance, but the store size is a vast inventory. I met this sweet person Gabriella who was very kind and helpful, so people, if you like Therapy and you are in our neighborhood, please, try this new huge-size location. You will love it. What a great store with a large variety of items, unexpected in Downtown San Bruno. I found a great lightweight totebag that converts to a backpack (I didn't know I needed it!) and a beanie for a belated holiday gift. And there is a good selection of really cute jewelry at the counter. Definitely will be back when I have more time to browse. read more
