The curation here is seriously top-notch -- everything feels intentional, from the journals and travel accessories to the pens, inks, travel lighters, glasses, and paper goods. Prices aren't bargain-bin, but the quality justifies it. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and give you space to explore without hovering. It's one of those places where you can easily lose an hour and a paycheck (or two), and somehow still call it self-care. I still may.

They also moved and their now closer to The Gap on the 2nd Floor. Looks like they downsized a bit too. But the quality of selections are still in tact, and also it looks like the same ladies still work here. Always nice to see a familiar face. I am so glad that there is still a greeting card place where I can still put my hands and open each cards, read it, and even manage to get a good laugh! As soon as I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted by a staff member. I would describe this place similar to a dollar store, except most prices are in the $5 range, as appropriate by the brand name. There is a variety of items available, from a toy section, to a clothing section, to a beauty section, and other random goods. If I wanted to stock up on any of those items, this would be a good place to start. Unfortunately, their seasonal selection was a bit limited, I was specifically hoping to stock up on some Halloween decor but they only had 1-2 items available that I saw.

I saw plenty of titles I would expect in an Asian American bookstore, as well as many others that I was glad to learn about. The offerings seemed to be majority East Asian though were not restricted to that. The shopkeeper was welcoming and gave a tour of the different sections, and found some good picks for us. I wish I had taken photos of the interior, but I was preoccupied with browsing! If I wasn't on a schedule I could have spent a lot longer there. This is definitely worth a visit and they're doing important work!

I used to visit East Wind Books in Berkeley often before they closed, so I was happy to see another store that focused on writings by Asian authors. It was a great selection to choose from in every category! I wish I had taken some photos! The gentleman working was super friendly and explained where everything was and how it was organized. We had a great time browsing and found some great books to bring home. We were even gifted some handmade knitted bookmarks! We will definitely be back when we have even more time to browse!

Great Bay Area bookstore located right at SFO…read more Walking towards D gates I made a happy discovery. I did not know that there was a Books Inc location at San Francisco international Airport. What a great find. I've been going to Books Inc in the South Bay for most of my life. It has survived after all these years including the boom and bust of big chain bookstores. Great staff and service. A special place well worth the visit. Buy Local.
