I've been to a couple of Therapy stores but this location definitely stands out: there are a lot more diverse options here. As always, I love the local custom items, like this jewelry dish I found that says "someone in San Bruno loves you". Extremely friendly and welcoming service. While I didn't purchase anything this time, I did notice that there were so many delightful baby gift options so I'll definitely be back to get something for a friend who is expecting in a couple months!

Jaya (sorry I might be getting your name wildly incorrect) was super helpful in guiding us through what is available in the store and sharing stories about the artists who've created many of the different items. Everything feels curated by the best tastemakers so all you need to do is walk in and see what you or someone you'd like to get something special for would like. It's obvious many of the books are also carefully and thoughtfully chosen and Jaya confirmed the owners are very intentional about what they include on the store shelves. I ended up buying 4 items of clothes and a wireless little table mushroom lamp. I was tempted by everything else including jewelry and a felt rainbow home decor thing. Money can't buy happiness and it can't replace my dog but these things have brought me some joy and therapy. We live in San Francisco so we're excited for the Mission location in SF as well after experiencing this amazing San Bruno store first!

I love supporting local businesses, and Alison and Julie are lovely. My mom and I really enjoyed all of the time we spent with them at the shop (and we were sometimes there for hours!). Alison did a great job making sure that everything would be just as we wanted it... even if that meant some back and forth on possible changes "just to see." These ladies clearly enjoy their work and know their products inside and out, which was helpful, since there were times when we didn't know where to begin. There were a few moments when I was worried we wouldn't hit a deadline, but we always did, even if it meant that Alison was sending me emails and proofs for approval late at night. As others mentioned, email communication can be spotty at best, so I usually called or dropped in to the shop. Most importantly, I loved all of the stationery and paper at our wedding. The mall has been sold and will be demolished eventually, so why would a business renew their rent and stay here. The staff here are pretty nice and if they close after the Xmas season, I hope the owner opens another in SF or closer. I hate having to order online and paying for shipping. They used to have a shop in Stonestown and their old space is available and there are plenty of other spots. I'll miss looking at the cute annual Christmas ornaments too.

This store is one of those spots that' just easy to keep coming back to. There are also a lot of good cafes and restaurants nearby, plus a Goodwill, so it's easy to make a quick loop out of the trip. The staff are always friendly and greet you right when you walk in. They also have a board next to the entrance that clearly shows the sale colors, so you don't have to guess what's discounted. The inventory is a solid mix too. You'll find everything from more affordable pieces to higher-end items near the counter, which keeps it interesting every time I visit here. One thing I really appreciate is that a good portion of the sales goes the local Humane Society. I love this spot, and you can sometimes catch me here looking for my next treasure find!

The curation here is seriously top-notch -- everything feels intentional, from the journals and travel accessories to the pens, inks, travel lighters, glasses, and paper goods. Prices aren't bargain-bin, but the quality justifies it. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and give you space to explore without hovering.
