Came in on a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty packed, but we knew what we wanted and went straight for the prize. Everyone here is super friendly. Special shout out to Josh for helping us today! & made the checkout process quick and fun.

Starry Night is back in stock!

Upon stepping into this Lego store at the Hillsdale store, we received amazing customer service from Brian. He immediately attended to us and asked what we were looking for. He also had genuine enthusiasm as he was answering my questions and helping me grab the Starry Night Lego set while we continued to browse the store. This store is well stocked! I was also able to find the Disney castle which was a plus as both of the Lego sets I was looking for were sold out on the Lego website online. Upon check out, Aaron helped us and was very insightful in explaining the details for the VIP rewards program. We also got 2 small Lego sets free with our purchase. I would highly recommend stopping by this store for your puzzle and Lego needs!

I've often thought of quitting my current position in a Fortune five hundred company, releasing me of all the stress that comes with a high paying job, just to work at a place like this. Sure, they won't pay me six figures here, but then again, I'd be surrounded by Legos and happiness. They have rows and rows of Legos, organized by themes such as Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Marvel Comics (Iron Man, Spiderman, etc.) I imagine my day would be filled with helping people to find Lego sets, and why not, I'm just as knowledgeable as the associates who work here, and I imagine them calling my name to build the big display cases that line the windows. And I would get to wear that funny yellow apron that would make me look like a Lego chef. Everyone that I see around me in this store looks so happy. The kids, the employees, and parents who have the hundreds of dollars to spend on small pieces of plastic...and so the happiness seeps into me too. Oh Lego Store, if I were 10 years younger, I would have applied to join your Lego World!

I was inspired by some awesome art pieces that were created by Lego! So I decided to create wedding gifts for my friends! One of the employees helped me out when I was pretty stressed to find the brides' and grooms' outfits! Seriously, he help me save so much time for finding those tiny parts. My friends love them! Even though they're not expensive, but this is something unique with !

I successfully hid this store from my son for 4 years. Until last Halloween when some friends invited us to go trick-or-treating in Hillsdale Shopping Center and Ichabod saw the Lego Store for the first time. *cue angels singing, clouds parting* He practically dropped his jack-o-lantern - he could give a rat's ass about Halloween candy - and ran open-mouthed into the store. The Lego staff very wisely handed out stickers and a Lego catalog, which he flipped through excitedly, pointing out, "I want this, this, and this." He hadn't realized Legos were available in that many varieties. On a solo visit, a Lego sales associate helped me find which Lego set would meet our needs best. They didn't carry a separate Lego carrying case that I was looking for, so I bought a plastic toolbox at a hardware store and made my own. If you have a budding young architect or happen to like Legos yourself, this is a great store.

My boyfriend is going through this Lego kick right now... The inner child in him is definitely coming through. It started with the Formula Off-Roader purchased at Target. He finished that model within an hour, so we decided this weekend to get another one and work on it together (although to be honest, I wasn't as dedicated to it as he was). We walked in to the brightly colored store looking for the Wheel Loader, but ended up getting the 24 Hour Race Car instead because they didn't have the other. $140 still well spent in my boyfriend's opinion, I'm sure. It's a hobby I can definitely get on board with, as long as he puts ALL pieces into a tupperware like I suggested. I've heard the painful stories... Staff members were extremely helpful. Made sure to come ask us if there was anything they could help us with and were able to point us in the right direction to the technics area. The store has legos for all ages and in all areas: From the big giant blocks for toddlers to the sophisticated architecture kits to theme kits like Star Wars and Minecraft. I have my eye on 2 of The Simpsons kits. Too bad they're $200 each... one day...

Though our kids are much older now, we love to stop in for blind boxes, collectibles, and to scratch the incessant NeeDoh itch. Parking is almost always a challenge, given the area. Weekend visits require serious patience. The store can get shoulder-to-shoulder packed with large strollers in narrow aisles and tiny tots having very big feelings whose parents are doing what they can to regulate, some more than others, so there are def moments of chaos. As a momma who had 2 under 2 at one point, I've been there and hella get it. For my own sanity, we aim for off-peak visits to peruse in peace. As you can imagine, service is more attentive when the staff:customer ratio is more manageable. But the last couple visits, it's been fairly quiet in the store yet no greeting upon my entering, nor a welcoming vibe upon checking out at the register. So much so that I didn't bother to have them do the customary complimentary gift wrap for all the presents I picked out for my youngest. It was such a bummer to leave feeling icky for what is normally one of my happy places, especially as a long standing customer.

But then I went down a whole rabbit hole of why you shouldn't do business with these guys. They are very shady business men. The owner, Nelson, is a reseller who uses bots to get items (Pokemon TCG, Pop Mart, etc) and resell for a profit. He opens the boxes and claims all the best value figures and cards, then sells the common ones to unsuspecting shop customers. Then when he has too many common figures and cards, he offloads them in the form of "conventions". It's the best scam: charge people an entrance fee and still overcharge people for common boxes that are worth much less online. This is why his cons are every 3 months. This is the best way to offload common figures while still making money off of ticket sales and up charges. You will not find any secrets or valuable cards at Fugitive Toys. The boxes and packs have all been resealed with the rare stuff already taken. If you want to resell your funkos, they will offer $1 or two, then turn around and resell for 6x the profit. Nelson is notorious for kicking out people from his conventions. Multiple people have come forward with talking about racial profiling and Nelson using poor excuses to kick people out of his conventions. See one story below. People have also complained that vending there is not worth doing there. Sales are slow and the vending prices to secure a spot are $300 to $700. That's a lot higher than more established conventions. Hype Con and Fugitive Toys are both also very disorganized when it comes to their schedule as well. At cons, their doors never open on time. At fugitive toys, they will close on random days without warning or note. Don't support any Hype Con hosted events, and definitely don't do business with Fugitive Toys. They're scam artists, and they need to be investigated.

That is a serious food safety concern -- sealed packaging is there to protect customers from contamination and tampering. Once that seal is broken, the integrity of the product is gone, and no one can guarantee it's still safe to eat. Seeing it back on the shelf after being resealed immediately made me question the cleanliness, quality control, and overall trustworthiness of this place. On top of that, the pricing is completely unreasonable. They are charging nearly $10 more than what the same candy would cost anywhere else. This isn't a specialty import or a rare find -- it's the same everyday candy you can buy for a few dollars at other stores. Combining questionable handling practices with massive markups is a bad look for any business. Customers deserve both safe products and fair prices, and sadly, this shop fails to deliver either.
