Even though I have been treated by many PT's over the last 20 years, Terry is the one I will always return to. One of the many reasons I rely on Terry is that he stays with me while I'm doing prescribed exercises to ensure I'm doing them correctly. So when I was referred to Therapy South for physical therapy for a new set of issues, I had little hope for any success. I WAS SO WRONG. I was assigned to Laura Richardson who has helped me so much that I feel I owe her my life. At Therapy South, everyone is seen EVERY by a physical therapist, not just an assistant. At the location off of Clairmont Avenue, Laura and Emily are both amazing dry needling practitioners. They spend one on one time with you at the table after exercises, guided by them but also with help from their wonderful floor staff. For my injuries, I received soft tissue massages, dry needling, heat ultrasounds, and of course ice and the TENS unit. When you "graduate" from physical therapy, you are allowed to go back and come in for quick appointments just for dry needling. Dry needling sounds horrible, but for me, it has been a miracle treatment to help decrease pain related to my muscle tightness, pain, and/or spasms, TMJ, neck pain, migraines, and cerviogenic headaches. When you walk in, Pam greets you as if you are family. Laura always remembers exactly what I need help with. Emily has such fun energy and has advanced training in TMJ needling. I have never had Leslie for my therapist, but my husband did, and he found her so helpful. The stretches and exercises she showed him have helped him so much he doesn't have to go back. That never happened--I didn't see a doctor until I was laying face down on a table.. didn't know what the problems were.. didn't know what the procedure was going to be.. nothing! I refused and walked out and made an appointment with an actual doctor who has been great. Stay far away from this place
