Not only that but every time I did ask questions, Kevin especially would give me some smart ass answer like he was mad at me for not knowing what he wanted me to do. Tip--when exiting next time, I will go around the back of the building to the lower exit which is further away from the curve and makes it easier to see. It soon became obvious that they were not only running behind but that we apparently were the last one of the day. Dr. Downey came out personally to not only tell me how the procedure went but to apologize for the wait and running behind. I thought it was very nice and unexpected that a doctor didn't just send out a nurse with the messages so that he could expedite his own departure. Moreover, my parent seems to be very pleased with the care and attention from Dr. Downey and his staff.

The surgeon told me it was one of the worst injuries he has seen in a guy in his mid-30's. The day after surgery I walked into Therapy South Vestavia to begin the road to recovery. The staff was absolutely incredible. Every time I walked in, they were attentive, knowledgeable, and were personally engaged in my recovery. Today, I completed three months of Physical Therapy to restore my shoulder to full mobility and get back to normal life. I can lift my small kids over my head, get back in the gym, and throw a ball with my oldest for the upcoming Spring baseball season.
