Per their website the mission is: "To Teach the World to Fear Less and Love More. We do this by regularly creating fresh experiences for our clients/participants that zing connection from head to toe. The kind of zing that makes you realize you are alive and that life can be joyful. While you're experiencing, the staff notice how deep are your sighs, how relaxed your jaw, whether there is the hint of a smile, a giggle of fear or one of happiness, whether your eyes are dilated with concern or smiling with joy..." They offer various therapeutic modalities to work with people.I love the energy there and I'm happy to see this place exists. I'll definitely be going back for yoga once it cools down. This class I took was on June 24th and it was warm, but not too hot that day. Doing yoga outside isn't my cup of tea this time of year. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a positive and meaningful organization to support.

I'm so grateful for this community and the friends/family I've made being here. I started as an intern working with another amazing nonprofit (EmpoweRanch) and WCR graciously took us on to hold programs and give us a space to grow as a new nonprofit. ER has since moved but WCR continues to provide services and opportunities for everyone to thrive. Stalls are cleaning 2-3 times daily, water is cleaned daily, fresh alfalfa and bermuda, turn out for socializing and exercise, and supplements or other health products are given based on the owner/boarders request. The horses are treated loved on daily and have good size stalls to roll around. Chickens running around demanding you feed them meal worms and three goats! Renovations coming in the near future will make the property even better! Any donations are so appreciated as they benefit the whole community. Also, I need to give a bigger shout out to Jose Ramirez, owner of WCR because I didn't mention he is a Licensed Social worker and retired army infantry. Maeve is also now a ESMHL certified through PATH, which Sayda and I are working on now but Sayda is way closer than me. Everyone here is a total baddie

I attended the Baby Sleep Crash Course with my boyfriend last night in preparation for our first…read morebaby that we're expecting in October. While I went into the class with an open mind, I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been conditioned to believe certain stigmas or facts I had heard about baby sleep over the years. The thought of a sleepless newborn has always been daunting and with so many different opinions out there on the "right way" to navigate sleep, I have been overwhelmed and drowning in research of every method and belief to be found online. Lauren is extremely educated around this topic and it was very clear from start to finish. Not only that, but her belief system when it comes to taking care of your baby, and her emphasis on trusting your parental intuition, aligned identically to the way I feel and want to parent. I learned a ton of things I had never heard, debunked a lot of myths I had been told to believe, and explored a number of options and ideas to consider. I left the class feeling more confident in my intuition and doing what feels right for me and my baby, equipped with resources to look back on when things get rough and sleep progressions come up. The material we learned made for great conversation on the drive home between my partner & I to brainstorm ideas to support one another throughout the first year. I left feeling prepared and confident. I would recommend Lauren's services to any expectant parents, current parents, nannies, doulas, or anyone with a baby in their life who would like to know the "WHYs" behind their sleep behaviors.

Unlike a typical "sleep trainer," Lauren took a gentle, holistic, and evidence-based approach that focused on our son's needs, my comfort levels, and our family's overall well-being. With her guidance, we were able to gradually eliminate night feeds in a way that felt natural and supportive, not abrupt or stressful. She provided clear steps, continuous support, and truly listened to our concerns. By following her plan, our son began sleeping longer stretches almost immediately. We came back to Lauren again at 13 months for help with slowly and respectfully weaning from breastfeeding. Once again, her approach was thoughtful, compassionate, and completely tailored to us. She helped me navigate the emotional side of weaning while making sure our little one continued to feel secure and settled. Our son now sleeps through the night, and I feel empowered and confident thanks to her guidance. If you're looking for a sleep specialist who blends expertise with empathy, and who supports gentle, sustainable change, Lauren is truly exceptional. I for sure know that I will be reaching out to her again when/if we need support again in the future.
