It's been about 3 years since my Girl Scout troop came to this ranch (see my previous review). Since then my kiddo and I have taken classes at the ranch and we both became volunteers at the ranch. We come to this ranch about as often as we can. The owners make it a point to make everyone feel like family! This IS our family now!!! Aside from the joys of the ranch, my kiddo has advanced riding skills so much that my kiddo has participated in the Black Rodeo, Competitive Horsemanship and Riding and trail rides. Like my kiddo, experienced students at the ranch can participate in parades, shows, and more as volunteers representing the ranch too! If you'd like the same opportunities, you just need to saddle up and start your horsemanship journey, or expand it, at the RR! And, For the person who wrote that they called and no one answered... keep in mind, this ranch runs off of its volunteers. There is a limited paid staff and a small army of volunteers who support RR. This ranch serves as a large animal rescue. This ranch is a place of escape for victims of a variety of situations and this ranch services folks with a variety of physical, emotional and mental needs---- on top of the herd of horses, goats, pigs and dogs that live there. While you're experiencing, the staff notice how deep are your sighs, how relaxed your jaw, whether there is the hint of a smile, a giggle of fear or one of happiness, whether your eyes are dilated with concern or smiling with joy..." They offer various therapeutic modalities to work with people.I love the energy there and I'm happy to see this place exists. I'll definitely be going back for yoga once it cools down. This class I took was on June 24th and it was warm, but not too hot that day. Doing yoga outside isn't my cup of tea this time of year. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a positive and meaningful organization to support.

I had a very ill dog that was terminal, and we had finally decided. It was time to let him go as he was beginning to have days where he suffered a little. I couldn't afford any of the other places, but I checked with Arizona Humane Society anyway and their price was excellent. I did the type where you sit with your dog when they give it the tranquilizer then they leave you in a dimly lit room with soft music and led candles and when you've had enough time and said your goodbyes, you press the doorbell on the side of the wall and they come in and they take your sleeping pet into another room where they give it its final shot. For my size dog this service plus communal cremation cost $180. If you don't want to be there when they give the tranquilizer shot then it cost even less. They also have for a little bit more an option to get the ashes back and there's also options for nose, prints and paw prints in clay or ink but seriously you can do that yourself and save yourself money. I will say first before this happened. They did do a quick check up to verify the heart condition that he had and I brought medication showing that he was on it, but that it wasn't working anymore.

I adopted my son (2.5-year-old rag doll cat) here this past June 2025 on one of their free adoption…read moredays. He was already neutered and had all of his vaccines. There was a medical disclosure online. that he had gingivitis, but as a first time cat owner, I researched that this is pretty common in young cats and can self resolve without treatment. About 1/2-year later, he still had the gingivitis. Since he was adopted from and already well known at this clinic, I scheduled an appointment for a dental cleaning/procedure of pulling infected teeth if needed here too, for continuity of care. Upon scheduling the appointment, I had to pay a 10% deposit fee over the phone by reading out my card number, which was about $90, assuming tooth would have to be pulled for total cost of $900 (I DO NOT HAVE PET INSURANCE). Due to this possibility of pulling teeth, this appointment was booked as a surgical procedure. They offer these appointments Monday through Thursday only and lasts all day: You are to drop off your animal at 7:45 AM and pick them up around 4 PM or earlier if the providers done earlier.) Prior to my appointment, I was texted a required prescreening questionnaire which I filled out prior to my appointment. It also came with preparation instructions including allowing your animal to drink water freely but have nothing to eat after midnight. On the day of the appointment, I arrived 15 minutes early as instructed, around 7:45 AM, but I found myself waiting outside the clinic as they opened at 8 AM. I checked in, and was almost immediately taken to a room to be triaged by the vet tech. Then the provider came in, examined my son, and took him back. He was ready for pickup around 3:30 PM, but I was busy and ended up picking him up at 4:30 PM, which did not prove to be an issue. He needed less work done than expected, so I ended up actually paying $375.50 by card (SEE SCREENSHOT ATTACHED FOR THE COST OF THE ENTIRE APPOINTMENT). He did not have any teeth pulled. All in all satisfied with my experience with this campus of the Arizona Humane Society! I adopted my boy from them, and he will continue to receive all of his care from them.

A lot of the kitties were napping, but there were a few who were down to play. They all seemed very sweet and didn't mind us petting them. Logistical details: there is a small parking lot outside the cafe where you can park. Don't pay for parking since it can be validated in the cafe! Drinks are not included in the price, but you can order coffee drinks from the cafe and they will bring them into the main cat room when they are ready.

It's clean, cozy, cute and the cats seem happy to be there. I applied for and adopted Brooklyn. Carrie called me for the interview and virtual home walk through. She was wonderful. Carrie listened to my story and told me a lot about Brooklyn. I appreciated learning the detailed history and personality of my new friend. Everything went well and I truly appreciate the Phoenix Cat Cafe for providing this opportunity to me and I'm sure countless other people and cats. I love my new buddy
