Went on a one-hour carriage ride with my family, and it was so fun! I'm excited to learn about this place and all the wonderful programs and opportunities they offer. Looking forward to going back.

What an incredible experience! The kids has such a good time and learned so much about how to care for the horses. If you haven't gone here yet, do it! They also do summer camps and equine therapy!

I absolutely love this place. The people are friendly and patient. My daughter rode a horse for the first time and had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend that you visit this unique establishment.

Robinson Ranch is tucked away on the side of the mountain in a quiet little suburban neighborhood. Pulling up, you wouldn't expect it to be as massive as it is, but first impressions mean nothing before you step through its gates. Robinson Ranch is owned and operated by Mr. Robinson, who teaches riding classes, hosts therapy sessions, and hosts riding clubs that partake in activities from parades, funerals, and I'm also pretty positive civil war reenactments. The ranch is large and they have over 20 horses (several who were loaned/borrowed out at the time I visited). They also had pigs, sheep (I saw 3 that were born the same day, so cute!), and other animals you'd expect to find on a farm. Each type of animal had a clean enclosure with plenty of food and water and a great amount of space. People who treat animals properly are the people you want to support. Mr. Robinson has a gang of volunteers that help in every aspect of the ranch and he is always looking for more. If I lived in the area I would definitely sign up. He screens every applicant and has every volunteer do orientation. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this ranch. You should look them up if you're in the area and want to take a riding class or join a riding club.

A birthday surprise class for my 7-year-old turned into summer camps and a future of lessons. Sheila and John were amazing at engaging her and explaining many aspects of care for a horse from safety to grooming and, of course, riding. Smiles abounded and their ability to connect with her showed their true gifts of meeting a kid where they are at. From the mo I can't imagine a more perfect birthday surprise and I look forward to her riding in the future with them. That truly was not my intent but the experience made it a must-have. Thank you so much!

Jade and Shila were awesome! It was clearly an exciting and fun experience for my girls! Love that they are so patient and great with kids, approaching horses for the first time. Safety is paramount here. Well done instructors!

A bit disorganized at times for volunteering but the hands on experience with animals is awesome.

I'm so grateful for this community and the friends/family I've made being here. I started as an intern working with another amazing nonprofit (EmpoweRanch) and WCR graciously took us on to hold programs and give us a space to grow as a new nonprofit. ER has since moved but WCR continues to provide services and opportunities for everyone to thrive. Stalls are cleaning 2-3 times daily, water is cleaned daily, fresh alfalfa and bermuda, turn out for socializing and exercise, and supplements or other health products are given based on the owner/boarders request. The horses are treated loved on daily and have good size stalls to roll around. Chickens running around demanding you feed them meal worms and three goats! Renovations coming in the near future will make the property even better! Any donations are so appreciated as they benefit the whole community. Also, I need to give a bigger shout out to Jose Ramirez, owner of WCR because I didn't mention he is a Licensed Social worker and retired army infantry. Maeve is also now a ESMHL certified through PATH, which Sayda and I are working on now but Sayda is way closer than me. Everyone here is a total baddie

BEWARE of the owner, he makes promises with no intentions of following through with them…read more I would have done zero stars but there is no option for 0. I had to take a month long work trip with very little notice and after looking and talking to multiple horse boarding places I decided to go with Oasis. First we talked on the phone he said he had two 12x20 stalls next to each other with all day turn out. I made him aware that one of my horses is 21 and has severe ring bone and arthritis and definatley needs daily turn out. Also very important my 21 year old gets her 12 pounds senior feed daily or she will loose weight. He said no problem ill take good care of them. When I got there to look at the facility the stalls were only 16x16, really small for 16 hand horses. He reasured me they would be turned out all day, daily and only in the stalls at night. Yelp just said I couldn't have over 5000 characters so I had to really shorten this. Long story short my 2 horses got turned out 1 time in 30 days, my horses did not get there grain and my 21 year old horse appears to have lost atleast 75 pounds, missing there new halters and lead rope. He promised me my horses would be well taken care of. He told me they sent everyone a daily report on water intake, stall cleaning, turnout time and food eaten. I thought wow thats cool never had a facility do that before. He seemed like a very nice and knowledgeable man so I agreed to board my 2 horses with him. A normal border can always hand walk a horse during irrigation or rain, ride them or put in arena but I was 1600 miles a way so I trusted him to do what was needed and he didnt even try. I feel so bad for putting my horses in this situation. And, to put it nicely I really dislike the owner because not only did he totally neglect my horses and there needs he caused me enormous stress for a month. Soooo dissapointed! Feel free to call contact me through messenger if you want more info. There is so much more to this but yelp only allows you to right so much. Misty Beck

I was able to ride a lot of different horses there because I had gotten the hang of riding really fast, so they wanted me to keep trying new things. I was here about one/two years. It was great, until I went on a trail ride with my instructor and a few other experienced students. Nearing the end of the ride, the horse I was riding got spooked and took off at a gallop, causing the other horses to spook as well. I had never galloped before, so I stayed on as long as I could before I was thrown. I injured my elbow and had bruised tissue in my hip. After I had recovered from that experience, I was afraid to canter like I used to. As soon as I got back we went to normal lessons that involved centering. I wasn't ready mentally to canter, but the instructor (Lisa) Kept trying to get me to canter. After I wouldn't canter she got a little frustrated. That was the first of the problems. As the weeks passed by she kept on filling the classes with five kids, including me, at a time. Most of which didn't know how to control their horses very well. The arena was packed and I didn't feel safe. Then my instructor tried to put me on a horse I had prior issues with. When I brought up my concerns, she tried to put me on a different horse that hadn't been ridden in a long time and they had to call someone to get permission to use. That was my last time ever going there. I left as soon as i heard her try to call someone. Im sad about that though because I had so much fun riding here. I hope to revisit this place, but i will most likely be looking for a different place to ride in the future.

However,…read moreafter several months of boarding there, I began to have a feeling that my horse was not being tended to per the contract. To verify that my horse was not being given his supplements and also not being turned out regularly, which I paid for, I devised a way to keep track of my horse's care and found out my hunch was correct. Even after voicing my concerns to the barn owner twice, nothing changed. I believe socioeconomics played a big role in the lack of care for my horse. As a school teacher, I was not one of the clients at Crossroads Farm whose horse was in training nor was I able to afford regular lessons. Neither of these variables should have diminished the care that my horse was guaranteed in my contract and the services I was paying to receive. I was a client at another hunter jumper barn for many years and never experienced this type of "you are less than" regardless of a training program, going to shows, or how many lessons I took. That barn made always made my horse and myself feel no less important than their other more wealthy clients. The same certainly cannot be said for Crossroad Farms.
