They showed us around their ranch, and introduced us to their Alpacas, which are the cutest animals. It is a very personal visit, because all the Alpacas have names and different personalities. We even got to see a newborn (3 hours old). I very much enjoyed our visit and learning about the Alpacas. There is a store on the ranch, and there was an Alpaca rug I really wish I would have bought. The owners could name each Alpaca that contributed to the sections of the rug. I did buy some socks that I am wearing right now. I LOVE these socks. They are so soft and warm. Go visit, and definitely stop in at their store.

They ask that you give them an approximate arrival time and call about 10 minutes before you arrive. You also need to follow the directions the host gives you to get to their place. We were heading southeast on Hwy 60. Jomax Road didn't show up on gps, but that's the road you should turn on going west and on to N 191 Rd and on to their property. Proprietor Sandi opened the gate when we arrived and told us where to park. After we got set up, Sandi, and her husband Chuck, showed us around the ranch, introduced us to their alpacas, which all have names (must have been more than 40). We were fortunate to see a newborn alpaca. It was only about an hour and a half old and could already walk. It knew instinctively that it should be getting some milk from its mom. Sandi and Chuck shared interesting information about alpacas and their ranch operation and took us in to their store. Their items include rugs, clothing items, and more. We bought some alpaca socks for the whole family. Alpaca wool is warmer than sheep's wool. It's hypoallergenic, anti microbial, breathes better, and wicks moisture better than sheep's wool. Can't wait to try them under my boots in the snow! We had a restful night's sleep; however, beware that you can hear traffic that's about a half mile away on the freeway, and a few long haul trains do go by in the distance as well. We have background noise apps on our phones and play wave noises which block out freeway noise. It has worked pretty well for us at quite a few places as long as the noise isn't too close. There is also a faint barnyard animal smell as you might expect. That didn't bother us at all, but it might be something to consider if that kind of thing bothers you. Definitely a fun and educational experience and stop!

They offer various therapeutic modalities to work with people.I love the energy there and I'm happy to see this place exists. I'll definitely be going back for yoga once it cools down. This class I took was on June 24th and it was warm, but not too hot that day. Doing yoga outside isn't my cup of tea this time of year. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a positive and meaningful organization to support.

We drove to the meeting location in a plaza where we were greeted and encouraged to use the restroom as the trip would be about 2 hours long. - we were able to get one jeep for a family of 4. -for children in car seats, they will require you to bring your own car seat to install onto the jeep. -you will drive about 30 mins to the Sonoran desert. -cruise and then photo opportunities once you get to the top. That takes about 45 mins and you'll be able to get out of the jeep to take pictures. Water is also provided as a courtesy. The kids had a great time.

At the end of the day, though, everyone in our group agreed that it was well worth the price (and, particularly if you're coming from the East Coast, you're going to be awake early anyway!). Our guide, Jon, made sure that everything ran as efficiently as it possibly could have. Not only did he ensure that we hit all of the Park highlights, but he took us away from the biggest crowds to show us views that were true " hidden gems." Jon was so knowledgable on the history, the environment, and other facts related to the area that we could not have enjoyed it more. Truly an experience of a lifetime! We…read morehad 3 adults in our party and got a private 2 hr ride with a wrangler and wrangler in training. The wrangler was knowledgeable about some of the flora and fauna in the area. We saw some wildlife too! A rattlesnake and deer. The trail was just challenging enough to make us feel like we hadn't done this before. The horses were incredibly clean!! I can't state this enough. After our ride we noticed that our pants were actually clean enough to go about our day without changing. Loved it. Highly recommend!!

There's plenty of parking, with both valet and self-parking options available. Self-parking was $10 per car ($13 if paying by card) We've been to WestWorld for other events before, but this was our first time attending Scottsdale Art Week, and the layout inside was very well done. The booths were thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to walk through and enjoy the different galleries. As you enter, there's a bar right at the front, but staff did a great job directing guests to additional bars located throughout the space, helpful since most people naturally gravitated toward the first one. We arrived at 7pm for the 6-9pm event and headed to the VIP area for some complimentary hors d'oeuvres. Unfortunately, about half of the food options were already gone. While they continued to replenish items like meatballs and chicken egg rolls, other offerings like chips, guacamole, salsa, and additional non-meat options were not restocked at all. When I asked a staff member from M Catering, I was told they hadn't ordered more beyond what was initially put out in the first hour, which was disappointing for a VIP event still in full swing. Additionally, the upkeep in the VIP area could have been better. There were quite a few dirty plates and glasses left on high-top tables and seating areas, and it didn't seem like the catering staff was keeping up with clearing or refreshing the space. That said, the artwork itself was the highlight. The variety of galleries and pieces on display was impressive, and we really enjoyed exploring everything. We also really enjoyed the entertainment throughout the evening, and the models wearing artwork were such a unique and creative touch, it added a fun element to the event.

Went to the annual Cave Creek Rodeo Days which is a 3 day rodeo that takes place at the Cave Creek…read moreMemorial Arena. They have many events, barrel racing, bronc riding, and bull riding to name a few. It's an official ProRodeo a part of the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association on the Turquoise Circuit, 20 rodeos on this circuit in the Southwest that you can go to with this just being one of them. I recommend going Friday or Saturday evening and purchasing your tickets early. I waited and bought my tickets two days in advance and only Sunday during the day was available. Also, come very early before the show starts because parking was full 5 minutes before the show began. :/ You can buy general admission or VIP packages on their website (Cavecreekrodeo.com). We were expecting bbq but that was only for VIP packages. We ended up having ice cream from a local Cave Creek ice cream shop having a stand. The other food was typical state fair food. Also, for restrooms they only have porta potties with santizer, no soap and water pumps. :( FYI No one is permitted to bring in large bags (large purses), or weapons.
