She guided me through these challenges in a way that completely changed my relationship with them. For the first time, my boundaries are clear and respected. I also came in with long-standing anxiety, and Emily helped me understand my triggers and respond with more clarity and calm. I am noticeably less reactive, more confident, and better equipped to handle everyday stress. This has positively influenced my business, my relationships, and my overall wellbeing. Emily has supported me through deep personal and relationship work, and I have grown more in a few months with her than in years on my own. I used to be hesitant about therapy, but she changed my perspective completely. Even now that I see her less often, I plan to continue on a maintenance basis because her impact has been life changing. If you are looking for a therapist who is grounded, compassionate, and truly effective, I cannot recommend Emily enough.

I really don't know where to start with how bad my expiernece with this practice has been…read more I went in for multiple reasons as I had just moved down here from Colorado so needed to get established somewhere and needed referrals and some tests. The appointment in office went fine but from there is all fell apart. She referred me for the needed testing and to 1 specialist of the 3 I need. But- when I went to the specialist, they said that my insurance requires that the dr put in a referral with them, so I called and they said they didn't have to, so I called insurance, insurance said they needed to put it in, so I called back to the dr and they said they would try. 2 weeks later I called again and they said they were putting it in just then. Finally that got done... Then called me for the results of one test, or so I thought. The person who called me did not verify who I was over the phone, did not ask for a birth date or anything and then proceeded to tell me that the Dr wanted me in asap as the results for my breast exam showed something concerning. Well... I didn't have a breast exam. So to whomever she was supposed to be calling, I hope all is well. I had to explain that it wasn't me and then the person on the phone looked me up and said my blood test was good. No apology, nothing. Still no result from my other test. A couple weeks later I called to find out about my other issue and referrals and after arguing with them as they said they had already given me my results which they hadnt, they finally put me on with the doc who said that I did need to get looked at but she wanted to try physical therapy first. I explained I'd been doing that for 3 years and I wanted to see the specialist. She argued with me and I said no, I don't want more therapy. I want to see the specialist. She said she would put in the referral but would let them know that I refused the therapy. The referral was never put in and after that phone call I will never return and would not recommend anyone to go to such an unprofessional, poorly managed practice.

The things that she says validate things that have happened to me in the past and that I am currently going through without me saying a word about them prior. I am a true believer in her gift and her methods... In conjunction with other therapies I find her a vital tool in my healing. I have recommended her too many friends and have taken all of her suggestions between sessions. Between books and supplements and meditations....if something unnerving has happened in my life that week I will literally make sure that there is nothing that will get in my way to make sure I can spend uninterrupted time on the phone with her at my earliest and have my session.. she is literally one of my priorities in my mental health / self care routine.I literally will not go out the night before just to ensure I am on time and alert. and I'm a mom who only gets every other weekend off! Will continue to utilize her services so long as I can afford to, and looking forward to branching out into her other specialties as soon as I am done working on my one specific issue right now. You will not be disappointed!!!!

I've only been working with Samuel for a couple months, but I feel like he's already helped me see…read moresome new concepts that I haven't been able to grasped throughout the past 17+ years I've been in therapy. I've seen several different counselors over the years and none of them have been able to help me have as many pivotal breakthroughs! I feel like Samuel genuinely cares, he takes notes, he also encourages ME TO TAKE NOTES, and he is able to reference stories I've mentioned to him in prior sessions accurately (this is huge). A couple of things that he's pointed out to me have really resonated and helped me with my anxiety recently: 1. "Dwelling on the 'don't knows' triggers anxiety" -what the heck does that mean? The "don't knows" are thoughts that pop into my head like what is next week going to look like, what does xyz think of me, or why doesn't my dog listen to me, etc. All the things I can't possibly know cuz I'm not a fortune-teller, someone else, or my dog! (I hope you get the point) I can ask xyz and/or I can take action to get help with my dog, but dwelling on the "don't knows" right now or during the weekend are only going to trigger anxiety. And once my anxiety starts spinning, then depression will be coming along soon too to join the party, if I don't get a hold of my thoughts. So remembering this little mantra has helped tremendously lately and I'm staying more calm. 2. Our imagination makes up terrible outcomes and stories all the time (due to different reasons and may vary from person to person), but why not try to use our imagination to make up good things instead. I mean either way we're just making it up in our head anyways, why not err on the positive side of things instead of always on the negative, doom-gloom side? I could go on and on, just ask Samuel, I never seem to run out of things to talk about lol. But I don't want to give away all my enlightenments in just one review. I am grateful for my new counselor and love recommending his services to other people looking to put in "the work". Good luck!
