Yelp reviews are generally easy to write. You like something or you dislike something and... you give your reasons. When I started to write something (I won't call it a review) for Josefa, I wasn't ready. I wanted what I wrote to mean something and to reflect how I feel about the affect she's had on my life. So, I'll take a shot now, but I'm still not sure I can do her justice. Josefa is a truly gifted person. She not only had an almost immediate understanding of the person I was, but also a tremendous insight into 'why I was' and how I could be the person I wanted to be. It's interesting because I had visited a counselor on and off over many years, whom I thought was good. However, in just two coaching sessions with Josefa, I discovered things about myself that I had neither thought of nor discussed, previously. Over the course of working with Josefa for a few months, she helped me to better understand myself, which led to quite a change in the way I feel about myself and how I interact with the world around me. From session to session, she always was on top of what we had previously discussed and was familiar with issues that were currently affecting my life. And, she was always on point with suggestions on how to best handle situations. Furthermore, the suggestions were ones that I could carry forward with me to future issues. Does everything work out for me now exactly like I want it to... of course not. But, I can certainly handle things much better now than I previously could. It may sound like I was a basket-case prior to working with Josefa. I don't think that's the 'case', but I certainly had issues. I imagine I still do. But, now I have much more of an inner calm about myself and confidence in myself that I never had previously. Thank you, Josefa. You have made a tremendous difference in my life. read more

Sadly never got a call back. I called a couple different therapist and she is the only one I never received a call back from. Guess she doesn't want to see any new clients ‍‍ read more

I started seeing Sefa during a period in my life of significant change. I had recently gone through some pretty serious medical treatment, and it was the height of covid. I had to take a step back from work, and I was stuck emotionally, physically and professionally. Actually both of my parents had received coaching from Josefa years before me, and it helped them immensely. When I began my journey with her I wasn't sure what to expect, but it has had a significant impact on my healing journey. About a year after I began coaching sessions, my wife started going also. Our entire family is better for it. read more

I have worked with Josefa (or Sefa) for over a year now. I didn't want to see a counselor at all, initially, but was given an ultimatum of sorts and acquiesced. I said no to three different counselors/coaches to start (despised one of them, actually), and then gave Josefa a try with a 'what the hell?' attitude half-expecting yet another disappointment. I was not disappointed. By now, she is a friend to me. Yes, a counselor, of course, but also a confidant and what one hopes for from a good friend. Tough love, if required, but never the starting point. There is no hierarchy or 'I'm the professional' attitude. Nor is she there to gloss over shortcomings or there simply to absorb complaints. She is genuinely interested in helping--emphasis on 'helping'--me be better. Some ideas, some exercises...some work, some don't (though most do :-)), and, in the end, things get better. Always. Whatever quirks or traits I have (or lack) needn't be 'strengths' or 'weaknesses' in whatever cliched view I had before. Instead, they are now more understood without judgement and, with her help, I can focus on where and how to leverage them to everyone's benefit vs. trying to suppress or fake them. It is so much easier to accept myself for who I am now--and, of course, who I am not. The whole process has made me much more comfortable with myself and others. Still a work in progress, to be certain, but I'm a grateful person. I look forward to tomorrow every night. And I'm happy. read more

Josefa helped me more than I could've imagine. It's hard for me to find someone I can work with that I can connect with and they are able to address the problems I'm working through while giving me life long tasks and tips that have helped me long after our sessions. I felt my most confident and stress free when working with Josefa, and I'm grateful she's been a part of my healing journey. read more

It's been a few months now since I worked with Josefa and I am still as grateful and positive as the day of my last session. She helped me get back what was lost and what I thought could never be retrieved. I had gone to therapists and psychiatrists prior but those sessions could not come close to the success I shared with Josefa. I never once felt like a patient and she alleviated the heavy feeling of "there's something wrong with me". I feel lucky to have found her through yelp and I hope someone else who is in the same position I was in will come across the same luck. read more

Really into this kind of thing, so after discussing the results of some intuitive/psychic sessions and my past-life regressions, a friend enthusiastically referred me to Josefa. Although I had heard of akashic records prior to my reading, I didn't fully understand what they were and/or why they mattered. Regardless, I decided to give it a shot and reached out to Josefa, who immediately let me know how to get started. When we got on phone, Josefa quickly put me at-ease by not only explaining what the akashic records are and what they can tell us, but also by outlining how the session would be structured. My reading was unbelievably accurate and insightful. Josefa confirmed several recurring themes in my current lifetime and past lifetimes, as well as my life's purpose. I loved that the reading was interactive. Josefa regularly checked in to see whether or not the information she accessed was resonating with me and encouraged me to interrupt her and ask questions as they came up. If you're even the least bit curious, I highly, highly, highly recommend you book a session with Josefa. read more

I am so grateful that I found Josefa back in 2013 and listened to my intuition to work with her. As a coach myself, I knew the importance of having support but each session with Josefa not only supports me but pushes me to grow, trust, and evolve in ways I simply couldn't do on my own. She is incredibly intuitive and has a wealth of tools that she uses to craft each session into exactly what I am needing at that time. With her support I left a job that was draining me for 7 years, met a new partner & fell in love at first sight with the man of my dreams, I am owning my power and setting boundaries like never before, and I'm finding peace & pride in who I am. I know the universe brought Josefa into my life for a reason and I'm so happy that I took the leap to work with her. Each session helps me get deeper into old patterns, thoughts, and realities I have created so I can look at them, shift them, and actively cultivate the life of purpose, passion, and pride I have been wanting. If you are feeling called to work with Josefa, don't deny yourself, this could be just the support you need too! read more

I started working with Josefa in 2012 and I am honored to have been her first life coaching client. Josefa completely changed my life - there is no other way to say it. I started seeing her to work through a lot of issues, but primarily around infertility. Her guidance, love, care and insight completely changed the path of my life and allowed me to get to a place where I was ready to receive my miracle baby (who was born February 20, 2013.) The greatest thing about Josefa is her ability to guide you down the path and help you to get to the right answer on your own. Although I fought this for months and kept trying to get her to tell me what to do, she persisted in her graceful and loving way until I finally got to the place where I could recognize the lessons my soul needed to learn. That knowledge and ability gave me so much empowerment over my own life and spirituality. She has opened my mind, my heart and my soul to receive the gifts this life has intended for me and helped me to identify my true purpose. To say I am a different person is an understatement - I am a changed person who embraces life - rewards and challenges - and has the ability to live a life of gratitude, which is the most important lesson to be learned. I always find my way back to Josefa in times of challenge or confusion. Any time I feel like I'm overwhelmed or there is a situation I am afraid to confront, she is there, offering me her love and support and helping me to find my path again. She once told me the purpose of a Life Coach is to help you and release you out on your own. I'm not quite there yet, but I am on a remarkable journey and I am unbelievabley grateful to have her be a part of that journey. I would encourage anyone who has a need for direction and understanding in their life to work with Josefa. If I could give any advice it would be to go in with an open mind, open heart and open soul. Be honest and be ready to accept the gifts this life has identified for you. There is so much beauty within ourselves and Josefa will help you to find the mirror of your soul so you can recognize it too. read more

Josefa is as good as you can get; fantastic life coach! I'm so glad a friend recommended me to her, she helped me through some very difficult times. I would highly recommend! read more

Incredible! Josefa did my akashic reading for me. While I didn't even know what this was before I met her and was skeptical whether it would "work for me," I decided to try it out. I was feeling somewhat lost on my path, and I thought this might be a good way to get unstuck and moving in the right direction. Nothing to lose, right? RIGHT! Josefa is an absolutely amazing person. She is so grounded in the reality of life, and yet, has amazing vision and intuitive connection. What I gained from our session was so meaningful. I felt like she knew me better than almost anyone else I have ever met. She also brought great clarity to my current ventures and a little bit of the "why" around why I am who I am. Not only would I recommend anyone to have a reading done, but I would recommend anyone to work with Josefa. She is truly a gift to me and all who interact with her. read more

Josefa has been one of the biggest blessings I could have ever received. I found Josefa on Yelp, and contacted her based on her reviews. I was not disappointed. Josefa gave me the tools to fix my life and live happily with little to no anxiety. I will forever be grateful for the work she did with me and the way she helped me in a very tough time in my life. I would recommend any one to reach out to her. She is caring, knowledgeable, and intuitive in ways that no other counselor has been with me. Strongly recommend read more

I had an akashic reading with Josefa and it was seriously the most heart-opening thing I've ever experienced. It gave me an understanding of myself on a soul level and helped me piece things together in my life that I've always wondered about. Finding out what my life lessons are and what my natural skill set is helps me in my business too. Josefa gave me easy action steps to do that helped me get the most out of our session. She records the reading and I just listened to it again the other day and I got clear on even more things! read more

Found Josefa right here on Yelp, and she has been a wonderful addition to my life. She's a master at not judging anyone, asking the right questions, and being loving and supportive. I wish she could be everyone's life coach but then she'd probably go crazy and I wouldn't want that. For people who don't quite know what life coaching is or why it's useful, Josefa is kind of like the person who helps you get out of your own head. She has no vested interest in the decisions you make so she doesn't try to persuade you to do or not do anything. All she wants is for you to achieve your own unique goals, whatever they are, and even as you're trying to figure out what they even are. She works with you to determine how you'd measure your own success, and helps you not be motivated by negative thought patters so you don't use your life passions as some sort of means to shield yourself from painful memories. She comes from a very unique background so she's particularly able to not be intimidated or off-put by someone's walk of life. I feel like she'd be equally supportive to someone who was deeply religious as someone who was a total atheist and everything in between. The money I've invested in my work with her is more than a traditional co-pay (she's out-of-network for me), so on some level I feel like I have my own skin in the game. This forces me to take the work she assigns me that much more seriously. And in the grand scheme of things, I think the money I invest in coming up with a detailed and healthy plan for my whole life is buck-for-buck more worth it than anything I could have ever spent money on. She's a delightful lady. read more

Josefa is simply a delight to work with. She's a professional and makes you feel very comfortable. Throughout the time I worked with her I had some major breakthroughs. She helped me see things in a different way while encouraging and supporting me throughout the entire process. Josefa is very knowledgeable and passionate about her work. I'd highly recommend her to anyone. I would absolutely work with her again in the future...and probably will! :) read more

Working with Josefa was a literal life changer. She is brilliant, warm, intuitive and focused, all while being immensely supportive. The insights that Josefa shared during every meeting caused me to ponder and, in a sense, deconstruct my outlook on life, in a way that allowed me deeper and deeper connections with my own heart. I now feel a much greater clarity on what I find valuable. I am no longer afraid to connect with pure, unadulterated joy. Thank you, Josefa. read more

Wow! I had the pleasure of receiving an akashic record reading with Josefa as well as some coaching. First of all, Josefa's demeanor puts you at ease immediately. She is very knowledgeable on the subject and explains everything very clearly. Second of all, the reading and coaching is invaluable. I learned so many cool and interesting things about myself that I always thought were there but couldn't explain "why." It gave me a solid sense of purpose and I felt encouraged and motivated to continue the path that I'm on. I highly recommend it to anyone who is open to learning about themselves on a gut and spiritual level. read more

I received an akashic reading with Josefa yesterday and am still processing it, but I have to say that Josefa was right on the mark with so many things about me. I feel like she nailed the truth of who I am. The reading was in line with the visions and conversations I've had with my higher self under hypnosis. In addition, I felt incredibly validated that I'm on the right path. I highly recommend working with Josefa - she's incredibly gifted and knowledgeable. read more

I've worked with Josefa as a coach on an ongoing basis, and also had an akashic reading as well. Josefa is extremely talented, trust-worthy & blessed with wisdom & intuition. Her work is spot-on and have always felt she was highly devoted to total transformation with her clients. At a major transition in my career, her reading was validating & provided clarity & focus for me as I move forth. I would highly recommend this for anyone in transition of any kind, that is looking to bring themselves or their businesses to the next level. read more

Josefa was fabulous to work with and we hit it off right away because of her great personality. She was so easy to work with for the Akashic Records. The whole experience was eye opening and solidified gut feelings I had had for years. She has a graceful gift and she is very supportive in her coaching. It was so easy to tell others of my experience and that they needed to work with Josefa. She will always be someone I refer friends and clients to as she is able to put a person at ease so quickly! Josefa is one of my best friends and has done an akashic records reading for me, as well as lots of official and un-official life coaching. To the readings and the coaching (and anything else she does) Josefa brings a lot of wisdom, compassion, a knack for helping you figure yourself out, and a great sense of humor that makes working with her such a pleasure. I had no idea what akashic records were before Josefa's reading for me- but it was so valuable and fun that I am really grateful for it! Whenever I get stuck about what to do, I reference it and find that it gives me a sense of direction, as well as a sense of adventure about whatever challenge I'm facing. Josefa also always impresses me with her dedication to her readings and her coaching and has countless tools to help you figure out what you want to do with your life. I highly recommend working with her. read more

Josefa is amazing. She is so warm and immediately relatable and her intuition is mind-blowing. The Akashic Records were something completely foreign to me, but when Josefa explained everything, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for and there was a reason I had been drawn to her to have it done. The reading she gave me literally lit me up for days. As she was telling me so many amazing things that have validated my life experience, it also seemed to me that she could tell when I needed more clarity around the information and offered it easily. Josefa also offered me her insight regarding a numerology reading that I had done in the past-and gave me a much better perspective on all of it. I love having the recording available to me so I can revisit this wonderful experience whenever I choose. I have highly recommended Josefa to my friends and would happily refer clients to her as well. read more

Josefa was the best thing that I did for my state of mind the day of my wedding. Josefa met with me right before the ceremony and completed a very short Reiki session to clear my nervous/emotional energy. As soon as Josefa started, I felt the energy inside me well until I thought I was going to burst, and then slowly melt away. It was incredible. I am so happy that I made Reiki a priority on my wedding day. I was so put together and grounded through my ceremony, and I was able to really enjoy that moment with my groom. I also look very happy in my photos, instead of a blubbering mess. Thank you, Josefa, for an amazing session when it really mattered! read more

There is just something about Josefa that makes working with her such an uplifting, magical, and enlightening experience. I have been seeing Josefa for life coaching and various readings since 2012. I have been trying to put my finger on what exactly makes her so unique and special, and have come to the conclusion that it's actually a multitude of things. Josefa has a special ability to be able to relate and empathize with any issue I bring to her. She is able to shed light on any situation I'm in and help me see it in a way that better serves not only me and my life, but also the specific situation or relationship. When I leave a session, I am always armed with practical and useful tools that I can begin to implement into my life immediately. (This means a lot to a person who always wants to feel like they are in control and is continually looking for ways to grow as a human!) To this day, I find myself utilizing things she taught me two years ago. She has a wealth of information and is constantly learning more to better serve her clients. I have had several breakthroughs since I've been seeing Josefa, and I have seen real, lasting changes in my life, attitude, and relationships. (She even helped me manifest the man of my dreams and bring him into my life!) She has a knack for being able to see the bigger picture, and also for making you dig deeper to find out what is really going on - the root of your problems or desires. But most importantly, she really, truly cares about her clients. This is evidenced by not only the feeling you get when you're with her (that lasts long after the session is over), but also by her follow through. She always checks in to see how I am doing, and she remembers things that I tell her. She truly is amazing and well worth the investment. I give Josefa my highest recommendation, and my deepest appreciation for continuously helping me change my life in the most positive ways! read more

Josefa is a very gifted, intuitive and straight forward coach. She really hears you and works with you to help you help yourself. The Akashic Records reading I received from her was really quite validating and chock full of information. She records the session for you which is so helpful because there is so much, I had to listen to it multiple times. I was kind of in awe at how much resonated with me and I would say that the greatest thing I got out of it was a greater sense of self love and self acceptance. I am not one for hyperbole... but I wish I could give Josefa 10 stars, no joke. I found Josefa on Yelp while I was with a different coach, and I could not be happier with my decision to switch. Josefa is so talented and skilled at what she does and I am eternally grateful for her helping me grow during arguably the most difficult time in my life (divorce, switch to self employment, moving, etc.). Some of the things about our sessions that stand out: Josefa is an amazing listener in that she'll listen to what you're saying, how you phrase it, what you aren't saying, and immediately key in on the pieces that you probably need to address. She doesn't "fix you", she actively facilitates the process of you fixing yourself, and is your companion on your *own* path of growth and self-love. Josefa is understanding, non-judgemental, nurturing, insightful, intuitive, and accepting. Josefa gives thought provoking and effective homework so you can't just go through the motions and only show up on the day of your appointment. I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea, she's the best and you won't regret it! read more

I met Josefa when she agreed to do a charity Goddess Day to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in 2013 at my home. She saw so many women that day and helped them all so much. She was extremely popular, everyone just loved her. She donated all the proceeds to LLS, because this is who she is. About six months later, I was facing one of the most challenging and transitional times in my life as my role of mother of minor children and a marriage of more than 20 years was ending. The life I knew was never to be again. Josefa helped me navigate through this time and helped me remember who I was. This realization is where I live from today and it drives all my energy. Her ability to see quickly and honestly into the pain of the situation and assess it for what it is, is a miracle. I recommend her highly to anyone. Everyone needs someone like Josefa in their lives. It's so difficult to put in to words how amazing Josefa is, but I am going to try! I found Josefa through a friend and immediately knew I had to start working with her. Her innate ability to read feelings, thoughts, emotions, etc. is like nothing I've ever experienced. She was able to help me not only identify what changes I wanted to make within myself but also see some of the amazing gifts I already had that I never would or could have seen. Throughout our work, Josefa was someone that I felt comfortable sharing with, even in those uncomfortable moments. Examining your strengths and weaknesses isn't always a comfortable space to be in, but Josefa helped me to understand why it's so important to truly understand yourself and some of those things that you saw as negatives may be incredible strengths. I have walked away with so many tools to help navigate life's challenges, friendships and relationships and I look forward to continuing to work and grow. The money I've invested with Josefa is money well spent. I feel like the tools/skills I left with are priceless. I've forever changed as a person thanks to the work I've done with Josefa! read more
