I loved this place. The staff are awesome. Very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The place is spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The food & drink demonstrates attention to details. I really loved my eggs and coffee. I will be coming back for sure!

I arrived early Saturday morning and was greeted by cheerful, excellent staff. I was pleasantly surprised to see a few open tables, but not for long! The place was packed out within the hour, with standing room only! The restaurant was tastefully decorated with that classic Cafe feel! The food was fresh and delicious, and the coffee was piping hot and perfect. I wish I could have tried everything on their menu! I had to call the owner, Jennifer, to our table to brag about the food and the attentive staff! I could tell that this place is run with high integrity!! I HIGHLY recommend this place!! I hope to be back again here someday soon! If you go there, tell the owner, Jennifer, hello from me!

#thecafe is a very underwhelming experience. the interior is generically cute and lacks real character and charm. i had a plain bagel with cream cheese and an iced latte with oat milk-- both were subpar and disappointing. service was good and it was easy to focus on getting work done. i wouldn't want to come here again, but i think this place has a ton of potential!

    Egg bites and cinnamon toast

I ordered the egg bites and cinnamon toast along with a cappuccino. The food was very good, service was friendly and it's over a cute cozy romantic spot. Great for solo or intimate breakfast and lunch.

Delicious food and great coffee. You order at a counter and they bring it to you. A bit pricey for what you get. Avocado toast, salad. 2 coffees $39 with tax. Loved the lemon humus. I would go back just for that.

Our breakfast was very good & not walking away feeling overly full. Friendly service. Although I wish there was more gluten and dairy free options. Cute decor, plenty of tables & comfy couch inside. As well, there was sculded area with good amount of tables for outdoor seating.

It's a cute but if you have food allergies they have much to accommodate you. Well they have one thing I guess. They have overnight oats but if your GF you still won't be able to have them bc the granola is regular granola and not GF granola. Then they have something else that is dairy but it has peanut butter so if you have a peanut allergy that is out of the question. Example I have a gluten, dairy, peanut and egg allergy. It is impossible to eat there or to join my friend for breakfast. They don't have enough options for vegans or allergens.

The atmosphere was so mellow and I loved the layout, it was super inviting yet gave everyone space of their own. I could definitely come here and get some work done every now and again. I got a hot latte, was so good without anything added, next time ill add caramel. I got the 4 corners burger which was so good and the perfect size. Excited to go back to try for breakfast! Might be my new favorite Cafe. The owner was so sweet and so were the others working there.

#theCafe in Brookfield has a really nice & cute setup inside. They have a few long tables for groups, a couch with a table, a counter type table along a big window. The table number you're given for your order is so pretty and carved into wood. The Iced Smores (I believe it was a latte) looked great, and tasted just as good!! I ordered breakfast - #THE SCRAMBLE - which consisted of smashed potatoes with melted gruyere cheese, with three scrambled eggs, and either bacon or sausage (I chose bacon). Just preference wise for myself I would have preferred a smaller chopped potato. Otherwise the meal was so good. I dont know how they cooked the scramble but it was not oily at all. Just a beautifully cooked meal. I will for sure be going back to The Cafe.

Pretty bathroom too. Lovely touches everywhere!

Ambience is lovely and so are the workers and best decaf oat milk I've had in a while! Def worth a visit! Bring a friend!

This my new local favorite work from home spot! Not only do they have a huge menu, I love the spacious dining area. Plenty of tables and chairs, outdoors even. I had a smoked salmon bagel, it was delicious. The coffees come with a huge selection of syrup flavors with sugar free option. I picked my usual Carmel syrup. It had soothing jazz music playing in the background. My ideal cafe setting.

In 1968 popular musician Skitch Henderson and his wife Ruth purchased the property as a personal retreat. The couple hosted musical performances, art exhibitions, and cooking demonstrations led by prominent chefs. In later years nonprofit and national historic landmark status was established for the property. ATMOSPHERE: Events take place in a repurposed post and beam barn. The beams are exposed, giving a rustic charm. EXPERIENCE: Alessandro Piovezahn, the current steward of the nonprofit property, is actively looking to revive the Silo's influential public events. I enjoyed an intimate concert that featured the work of a five-time Emmy-award winning composer Jeff Beal. A legendary Steinway piano brought his music to life. A reception in the barn preceded the concert, with food prepared by Chef Constantine (Dino) Kolitsas of New Milford's Greca Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar I also enjoyed an evening cooking class with Chef Carlos Perez of Litchfield's At the Corner restaurant. In the course of the three hour class we were guided on culinary techniques by Chef Carlos Perez and his former colleague Chef Billy Ross (now at New Milford's Greca). I greatly enjoyed learning how to make a thoughtful fall menu that includes popular dishes served At the Corner, and dining on the co-prepared dishes with fellow foodie community members. Given limited of 16 registrants, everyone was active. I already registered for another class with Chef Billy Ross. SELECTION: Classes representing a variety of cuisines and dish types are available, including gingerbread house-making, pasta, and risotto. TIPS: Check the farm's Facebook and Instagram accounts for event schedule. The class + dinner and cocktail was $125 per person. The Silo will host a winter farmers' market this year.

I had signed up for a Saturday morning cooking class 7/3 as a gift to my wife, but had an emergency that prohibited us from attending class. My wife called the school that morning and was told it would be no problem as we could select another class over the summer. I took them at their word, but after leaving FOUR voicemail messages spanning three weeks, no one bothered to return my call. I stopped by the school and left a message with a gentleman teaching a cooking class to please return my calls, but again I was never called back. Having exhausted attempts to reach the school to schedule another class, I decided to contest the $300 charge with my credit card co for the class I could not attend. Here it is 9/29 and the proprietor has not yet reached out to me, but has decided to keep my money stating the terms and conditions. I find this business lacks ethics for a small town like New Milford. Buyers beware! Please note the 9/17 call/message was not returned.

The farm is also available to book for events such as weddings and baby showers. My family and I recently visited Castle Hill Farm to see their Sunflower Stroll. First we stopped off in their farm stand which was filled with all sorts of fresh vegetables such as tomatoes, corn, peppers, squash, cucumbers, and even local honey. We decided to purchase some delicious looking Graffiti Eggplant as well as a handmade candle that had an intoxicating vanilla aroma. Afterwards we headed into the Sunflower Stroll. Our son had so much fun looking at all of the pretty flowers and pointing out all of the bees. Co-owner Stephanie Kearns told us about other things the farm will be offering in the coming months, including hayrides, the pumpkin patch, and other Fall Fun activities. Our day started with a Chinese tea ceremony in the barn and then a catered lunch. About 6:30pm, the ceremony with a live music started followed by passed hors d'oeuvre, fresh oysters, and wood fired pizza. The wood fired pizza was very delicious and I enjoyed the blackened shrimp and the arancini. I tried the cider and the rosé, but they were too dry for my taste. Then at 7:45pm, we went into the reception pavilion. The menu consisted of a salad as first course, a duet plate of salmon and beef short rib for entree, and dessert. The summer citrus salmon with the multi grain pilaf was very good. After first dance, father and daughter dance, mother and son dance, and speeches, the DJ told us to step outside. When we arrived we were told it would be just a few minutes as we were early. No problem! We had no agenda so that was completely fine. However, our reservation was at 1pm and we did not get seated until 1:30pm. It would not have been as bad if one of the staff simply came out to say sorry we will get you seated as soon as we can. There was literally no contact with anyone. We kept poking our heads around to make sure they knew we were there. The worst part was there were numerous open tables. I would've been fine had they sat us as given us some water vs. just waiting in the waiting room Once we were seated, our waitress was as pleasant as anyone could be. Very very kind. We ordered the winter tea service and started out with the tea sandwiches. They were very tasty as was the tea. Because we were so hungry we finished everything before the scones arrived. Once they arrived, they nice and warm which was a nice touch. However, the inside was still raw and doughy. I picked around it as best I could. The pianist was a nice addition. The photos and menu looked great - I had no idea they only opened a couple months ago, until our server mentioned it. You wouldn't guess it, based on the attention to detail and how smoothly everything runs. It's a lovely space. They take your coats, give you purse hooks, and have a piano player jazzing up the ambiance with mellow yet uplifting tunes. The table was set perfectly with china and all the accessories you need with tea. There is a fancy/classy, yet casual, vibe. We were excited to find out we could both pick our own teas and that we didn't have to agree on one tea service (for food). The scones and treats were the same on all, but the sandwich selection varied on the three different afternoon tea menus. I opted for the "classic", which came with coronation chicken salad, ham/cheddar/mango chutney, cucumber, smoked salmon, and egg salad sandwiches. My husband got the "teas around the world" which came with Brie/apple/honey, ham/gruyere/dijon, olive tapenade/sundried tomato, chickpea/tzatziki, and a spiced chicken sandwich. All were excellent!! And when we finished, they even offered us more if we wanted them. The teas were great! We were allowed to pick our own teas (didn't have to share) from a broad menu of teas. The owner buys direct in London to get some of the finest teas that are not available locally. I am caffeine free so opted for Marian Wright Edelman's Guardian's Grace, a fruity herbal tea that was relaxation in a teacup for me. My husband first tried the Elizabeth Cady Stanton's Strength Blend, and the also had Mary McLeod Bethune's Essence of Uplift. They were all different, but all very tasty, and perfectly brewed. It also wasn't lost on me that the teas were named after amazingly strong women throughout history, and that we were enjoying them at a woman owned business, on International Women's Day! The scones were delivered fresh out of the oven with your choice of clotted cream, jam, or lemon curd (YES to all, please!) or also butter. The pastries I believe are a rotating selection, but all were tasty bites. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, welcoming, and hospitable. It's a nice easy pace, with two hours reserved for your experience. It was a wonderful escape from reality! I really appreciate Laurie, Donjae, and Ingrid for creating the perfect experience for us today. 10/10 highly recommend. Call ahead for reservations!
