If you like desserts like me and eat your desserts before your meal, please go here! They have ice cream, milkshakes, milkshakes in a jar, you name it! Anything and everything, sweet! Went during a weekday in the middle of the afternoon so it was not crowded at all, the staff was super friendly and super helpful! I'd rather the Keylime pie milkshake in a jar and I got to take the jar home with me! It was such a cute keepsake. read more

Came here on National Ice Cream Day bc I noticed they had a a free ice cream scoop. They were super friendly and I tried many ice cream scoops. They sell Blue Bell Ice Cream here which I've had in other places. I tried many flavors including red velvet, key lime pie, pralines and cream, strawberry cheesecake, mango. I finally decided on black cherry. It was okay to me. I loved the chunks of black cherries the best. My husband loved the red velvet. They also have milk shakes from 9.99 to the huge ones which were around $18, but they have a massive slice or piece of cake on top. They also have diff flavored edible cookie dough. I didn't try it but they do offer free samples. They had a blackberry type ice cream in the freezer in the jar,but not as scoops. That one sounded good to me. This is a bit hidden location, so I'm glad I went bc I have never been. There is also a location in Downtown St. Pete. read more

We frequent melting pot often and always joke we will get dessert here at the yard after. It's a joke because we always fill up on cheese and chocolate at melting pot. But on Valentine's Day we were in the area and decided instead of dessert where we were dining, we would finally come visit the yard and try their milkshakes. When we walked in no one said anything to us. There were a handful of people inside eating, but no one in line. We just looked at the menu as it constantly was changing and ended up both deciding on the peanut butter bliss milkshake. Personally, I love peanut butter. I could eat it daily but it's just too calorie dense so I have it as a treat. Well, this shake was a complete and utter disappointment. The rim of the jar is covered in a not great tasting brand of peanut butter, and then there is just the smallest of drizzling that goes on top. When I think "peanut butter bliss milkshake" I'm thinking vanilla ice cream with globs of peanut butter mixed in making it a PB milkshake. The milkshake was just a plain chocolate shake, with small drizzling of PB that you couldn't taste, topped with a brownie that is probably just from the Publix bakery from around the corner (still good anyways), with whipped cream and another small drizzle of PB. If this was labeled as like a reese type of milkshake I could get all the chocolate, but even so, I'd still expect more PB flavor in the milkshake itself. Likely won't be returning. Some guy took our order, but the lady that brought the shakes to us was nice. The place was clean, and it seems like a nice place. But I was just very disappointed with the "peanut butter bliss milkshake" that was actually just a chocolate milkshake. read more

Took my friend here for her birthday, and I'm glad we went. It's definitely a fun experience if you love sweets. I stopped by the Yard Milkshake Bar with my boyfriend and his youngest son because I heard I just HAD to have the best milkshakes ever, they said it was an experience and I can confirm that I 100% agree! The milkshakes are unreal because they are HUGE and delicious. They have a large selection of ice creams and toppings and even offered samples when I felt like I couldn't make a decision (thanks because this definitely helped me choose that yummy strawberry cheesecake). It might be a good idea to come here hungry because the milkshakes really are that big, I'm not even kidding. Take a look, ask to sample some you are curious about, and definitely get yourself a milkshake, you won't regret it. I LOVED the strawberry & cream cheesecake milkshake soooooo much but it was a lot. I couldn't finish it. Still....zero regrets getting this one! read more

This was our first time here and it won't be our last! The staff was patient as we decided what we all wanted to order. My parents each got single scoops in a cone, my middle ordered sorbet, the other two shared a massive shake and I indulged in a "bowl" with my hubby. All was delicious! The seating area is spacious and was clean. There are hand washing sinks available within sight of the dining area, without having to go into a restroom. There is also some outdoor seating which will be great when it warms up. read more

It was our first time going tonight. Overall a great experience. This is probably one of the best ice cream spots I've tried in Tampa. They have a seasonal special now: Apple pecan crumble and it's very good! Even comes with a donut on top. The inside of the place is very cute and great for pics. It is on the pricier side for ice cream, but I think it's worth it for a first time. read more

Looked at the menu beforehand so we knew the milkshakes were large and expensive. Wish the milkshakes came in a smaller size. We opted to have an ice cream cone and a small bucket. Both were delicious and service was fast. On a Friday evening was not packed at all and we were able to sit inside. read more

If you're looking for a giant delicious milkshake, this is your stop! On this particular day, that's exactly what we were looking for and what we got. The flavor in the milkshake I had here - the cookie dough one - was absolutely wonderful and I really appreciated that you get to take home a nice sturdy glass jar with it. Definitely makes the $17.99 price tag more worth it. Taking off a star because out of the five things we ordered, three of them were incorrect in some way. The person making things wasn't listening/paying attention clearly. There was no one else in the shop so no excuse in being distracted/busy, so not sure exactly what went wrong. read more

I promise it tastes as good as it looks. This spot is not only providing you supremely instagramable desserts, it's bringing taste too. I knocked it down one star because of cost. Each shake is roughly $16-19 pending. While it was fun to try once and definitely an experience - the place is abuzz with excited faces and wide eyes, lots of owwws and aweeesss - it's not practical for the average family or person to go whenever they have a craving for a milkshake. It's more of an occasion spot. Definitely worth the try though - at least once! read more

Today is the day for ice cream! The Yard is at a great location off Dale Mabry in a little hidden gem courtyard area. There's indoor and outdoor seating options. Outdoor seating is covered I believe. Lots of ice cream and shakes options. Be prepared as these shakes and ice cream are pricey! I will add that the $16 specialty shakes include the jar they come in. There's also a jar washing station to clean out your sticky shake jar of you finish it while there. Lots of flavors to choose from. If you order a regular shake you can add up to 3 flavors for $7 which is also rather pricey. I'd have given 5 stars if not for the pricing. Customer service was great! The kids working were very friendly and hard at work. They helped us understand our options and waited patient while we decided. We probably won't be back until we win the lottery or receive a steep inheritance... But if you don't mind spending what you would on dinner, this place is fun! read more

Came in with our friends from Georgia so they could try this place. They got the Peanut Butter brownie bliss and we tried something new, the Buccaneer. Still cannot give them five stars because I just don't understand what takes 30-45 minutes to fix my ice cream order and then they only bring one order out at a time despite you being with a group. It's not like you can let your ice cream sit because it will melt. Seating is also limited for the traffic they receive. The Buccaneer was ok, very chocolatey and the brownie football just wasn't as good as the brownie that we've had before on the bliss. Still recommend trying however be prepared to wait!! read more

To begin with, I would like to assess whether you are working within a specific budget. You may find that the milkshake bar Carrollwood, isn't quite to your liking. I had the privilege of being among the first fifty individuals to experience its offerings when it came to this location, it's only a short four-minute drive from my home, making it an enticing and convenient destination for a sweet treat. It terms of Service If there's only one person working, then the service is quite respectable, but if theirs more than two the employees they love to chat amongst themselves and wont acknowledge you until the last minute. I got one of their $18 specialty milkshake designs and split it between four people because the amount of sugar and calories would blow your mind. If they were to cut back there, menu prices 2 to 3 dollars this would be a great biweekly to yourself, overall is still worth checking out as cute and clean aesthetics. I love the wooden interior and benches placed in the lobby. all the ice cream flavors are pretty much spot on and are quite enjoyable as well. read more

Is their milkshake better than mine? Heck yes...lol. Even before learning Mark Cuban supports this business, I've been here a couple of times with friends and family. We are ALWAYS amazed by the humongous milkshake concoctions. We ended up sharing a Buccaneer this time around and it I'd a chocolate lovers dream. Chocolate shake with a brownie on top of whipped cream with what I think was an oreo crust on the glass jars rim. My blood sugar ran screaming for its life and I just shoved it into its coffin and nailed it shut...lol. The milkshake itself is nice and creamy and the toppings are stupendous...BUT. I have to ding one star because it does take quite a bit of time to get your treat (around 30 minutes this time, sometimes LONGER if it's busy). But if you're a sweet tooth and don't mind hanging out, this is definitely a must try spot! read more

This ice cream and exquisite milkshake bar is full of incredible delights. Milkshake combos you have never even thought of plus a souvenir milkshake mason jar to take home! They have thought of everything because they even have a sink area where you can rinse out and bag up your souvenir jar to take home. the only reason I did not give it a 5 star is due to the price points for all the items - you would not be likely to take your family out for dessert one night and drop $17 per milkshake. It's gimmicky and I don't recommend bringing your militaristic dad or meat and potatoes boyfriend. But, if you fancy yourself a photographer or a foodie, you gotta go at least once for the over-the-top, self-indulgent, fever dream of a milkshake. I brought the kids to wow and amaze them and maybe make them believe I am a goddess for providing this ambrosia. It is expensive but the milkshakes are large enough and plenty fattening for myself and two kiddos to share. Plus we get to keep the glass! $18 with tax for 3 people to enjoy one large shake is not terrible. If I had taken them to Coldstone and we each got our own, it would have been more and not nearly as beautiful! read more

Ok, the icecream and options are great, the high price makes it a 4 star. I had a regular chocolate milkshake and it was very good but for $8 that is a little pricy. My wife had the Mint Green Monster and that was a meal in itself. I wish I took a picture of hers but she dove right in as soon as it was ready so no picture. Anyway, this is a really fun place to get an ice cream treat. If you come after eating a full meal then just get a scoop or two of ice cream. If you find yourself with some room in your tummy and 1000-3000 calories to spare then get one of the specialty milkshakes or sundaes. These go for $17 and you get to keep the jar it comes in. read more

If you're only coming for the photo ops, then I'm sure you will like it. But if you're coming for a good shake then go literally anywhere else. Staff was not friendly, weren't welcoming, didn't offer samples or explain the menu. Even though some were just standing there in front of me not doing anything at all. The $4 pup cup was exactly the same as the free one at Twistee Treat. The cookie dough scoop on top and in the cookie sandwich was bland, Just tasted like flour with no sugar. The cookie dough ice cream tasted like milk only. Brownie batter ice cream was just chocolate with bits of brownie. "Cookie crisps" is literally just the cereal you buy lol. The chocolate chips on the jar were very bitter. If you want the signature or large you can't choose to not have the souvenir mug so it was way too pricey at $16 each. Somehow I paid $40 for 2 milkshakes and a pup cup. I was by myself to order the 2 shakes and pup cup, the employee sat them down in front of me on plates and left, like I was going to eat both of them right there by myself. Thankfully another customer saw me struggling to get them together to leave and helped. But the employees did not care. Unfortunately we tried this place out because Cold Stone was closed but I feel completely ripped off. I wish I looked at the reviews first. Lesson learned. I would not go back. High prices for bland flavors and bad service. read more

What a fun place to grab a milkshake, ice cream or even a cookie dough pop! Located right in Carrollwood near Publix. Plenty of parking but there are tons of neighboring stores and restaurants so I can imagine it gets busy, especially during weekends. As soon as my family and I entered through the door, we were greeted and offered samples of their ice cream. They offer pint milkshakes in a collectable glass jar for $17. We ordered the buccaneer from their "secret" menu (as shown on their website) and it was hazelnut ice cream topped with a fun football shaped brownie and whipped cream. My family of 4 shared this together as we already had dinner prior. It was delicious! We also tried a cookie dough pop ($4) and that was also delicious. They have a freezer near the front entrance that offers cookie dough pops and edible cookie dough in mason jars to purchase. Plenty of tables and chairs inside along with outside seating. The restaurant is very cute and has plenty of fun areas to take Instagram worthy photos. They have a single bathroom for both men and women to use - it was very cute with its cow print wallpaper, clean and well stocked but my only complaint is that there wasn't a changing table. read more

Having dessert after a very poor dinner. Friends recommended we try this place. So first, it is pretty expensive for a milkshake, but I think it is worth the money. We ordered a mint monster bowl, a cookie dough bowl, and a Peanut Butter Bliss milkshake. $41 after tax! I'm fairness, we did get to keep the mason jar it came in. For whatever that is worth to you. Gotta say, the shake and ice cream were delicious and portions were generous, so you can certainly share! The bowls were good. Basically ice cream with a brownie or cookie dough (depends on what you order). The milkshake was creamy and delicious. Not to thick, not to thin. So bring your wallet, but this place is certainly worth the money. There is also limited seating, so be prepared. On a warmer day or night we probably would have sat in the outdoor seating area. read more

First off, don't let the naysayers (especially Darby C.) deter you from this fine establishment. The milkshakes are fully worth the money, anyone who says different needs to make more money or should head over to twistee treat like the waggie that they are. Plus you get to keep the glass at the end of it. This isn't a place where you can take these milkshakes to go (like Darby C. tried doing.) This is an experience that you sit down and enjoy. Why would you look at a milkshake like this and think to yourself, "oh I should take this to go." Brain dead thinking if you ask me. We got the strawberries & cream cheesecake and the brownie batter milkshake and they were great! Lots of flavor & very very filling. Be warned, these are 1500-2500 calories, so if you're on a diet, sucks to suck. Go to smoothie king. People who say it just tasted like milk probably let their taste buds burn in the Florida sun too long. A great experience & photo opportunity for those who want that. read more

Our visit to The Yard was a reward for my children ages 6 and 3. They both hit special milestones this week and deserved a treat. We ordered the Cookie Monster for my son and the Mermaid for my daughter. I was impressed by the "Instagramable" presentation of the shakes, but that's about it. Both shakes tasted really similar despite having different ingredients. My children were not "wowed" so we probably won't be back. I thought the price of the shakes was also too high. I was sooo excited to try this ice cream shop, but $14 for a sundae and $17 for a milkshake is absolutely ridiculous!!! I purchased the strawberry and cream sundae. It was literally a frozen rock hard piece of cheesecake in a cup with one scoop of ice cream!? It had the fake whipped topping similar to cool whip, and a bit of graham cracker crumble on top. No real strawberry like the pictures online. I requested hot fudge be added. Was told no after I had placed it and paid. Literally watched the guy make it and the strawberry drizzle was right beside the chocolate! I wanted to take back the dollar tip I had put in his jar. It was as if he couldn't figure out how to charge me for it so he didn't bother to say I wasn't getting it. Super strange. Do yourself a favor- take the $14 dollars next door to the publix; buy a quart of ice cream for $5, two slices of cheesecake for $3, a full can of real whip cream $2 and a box of real strawberries $4...feed like 4 people ice cream for the same ridiculous price! I won't be back. read more

The Yard is worth a visit at least once and please take a buddy! The end products of each creation are also definitely Instagram worthy so get your camera out before you dive in. I ordered the strawberries and cream cheesecake in a bowl. You do have the option of getting the large toppings on the side, but I feel like that takes away from the visual. While the strawberry ice cream and mix-ins tasted great, my only critique was the cheesecake itself that was stuck on top of my ice cream tasted stale. For $12 I'd expect everything to be super fresh. Service is friendly, prices are a bit high, and portions are definitely large. New business in Carrollwood. Looks and tastes like good quality ice cream. Be prepared to spend $17 for a "specialty" milkshake. We did not. Opted for cones instead. Biggest issue....Staff is severely lacking training and motivation. Approach for assist was extremely slow and once helped, very little information was offered. The two staff members were more concerned with each other than with customers. Last thing...staff member handed us our cones bare handed. No gloves, no paper...nothing.
