Cookie Monster combo (added edible cookie dough in ice cream)

Staff was young and customer service was absent. No one greeted me or the people who came after. Fend for yourself when trying to find a menu or read a description. The proportions were off in the mixture and I was not as impressed as I was before at a previous location.

My husband and I took the grandkids to the milkshake bar as a special treat. The server was so sweet and was very patient while we were trying to make selections for them. They even have non dairy options. The cookies and cream ice cream is delicious. My husband got the Donut touch my coffee and cream bowl. There was a donut on top, so he had to share with the family. The kids gave it two thumbs up!

We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy. But the staff were very helpful. My daughter has food allergies so when I mentioned it, they made sure to switch gloves and use a different scoop for her ice cream. Then my three year old son dropped his ice cream and was crying and one of the staff was so kind and got him another one and gave him an extra scoop too!

For the novelty of it all...4 stars but sadly in reality I can only give 3 stars because the product does not justify the price and it's not as advertised. We came in and ordered 3 milkshakes. I ordered an original banana split milkshake with a cheesecake. I was disappointed that they just replaced the banana in its entirety. I thought it would have had bananas in the actual shake but there was just half melted ice cream in the container and a piece of cheesecake that was so frozen I actually couldn't eat through it with my "shake". We all found our "shakes" to be just melted ice cream...no actually blended shake. Overall, I'm glad I got to try it but I doubt I would be back and I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone who isn't just on vacation.

Wife got a chocolate, brownie milkshake. Nothing crazy. The milkshake was delicious but nothing special. Lots of flavors to choose from. Priced high, I assume because of location and experience. Several kids working and half of them goofing off. I didn't like that. Wait until customers are serviced and gone. Lots to choose from. Plenty of seating if you include outside which makes for good atmosphere. We'll come again if we want ice cream in this area. We'll expect to pay. Can find cheaper milkshakes, just as good, in town

I was disappointed in our first experience at The Yard. There were 3 young adults working behind the counter, and not one greeted us. They just looked at us until we were the ones to say hello and tell them what we wanted. If I'm spending $18 for a milkshake, I expect an experience and good customer service. The counters were messy, shelves were disorganized, bathroom dirty. Napkins were not stocked, tables and counters were dirty as well. This was at roughly 5:30pm. There needs to be employees here that make the most of their jobs; these made the experience almost miserable. The milkshake itself was the consistency of, well, milk. Really no texture other than the added ingredients. I received it on a paper plate and milk running down every side. Flavor was good and the milkshake was fun, but the mess and service really dampend the experience...

So I will say that the bowls, milkshakes and Sundays are each a little bit pricey, however, they taste great, and I are unique novel experience that includes being a little work of art. Great little outing

The prices are absolutely ridiculous. I paid almost $20 for a milkshake that wasn't even that good. Will never return here. It did have a pretty presentation or I would have given it a single star.

We went because we heard about it from a friend, we really enjoyed this place. The inside was very nice and the employees were friendly. I got the cookies and milk milkshake, i really liked it. The stuff on top like the whip cream and chocolate chips and the cookie sandwich were good, the Cookie Crisp pieces were ok. The shake itself had a nice milky flavor. I don't think I would get this again, but I'm glad I tried it. If you're thinking about going to this place, I say check it out.

Coming soon! April is the projected date!

Love it! This was my first visit to the Huntsville location at last!!! My husband decided to split a milkshake because we've made the mistake of getting our own in the past. We got the mint chocolate chip one. It came with a huge brownie and of course the souvenir glass. We ate every crumb and drank every drop. Only downside is this location doesn't have a lace to wash out the glasses like other locations do. They also don't seem to clean the outside tables.

It's in a new subdivision which is called Town of Madison. In front of the "trash panda" stadium. It's outrageously over priced and over sized. If you're trying to be healthy-- I wouldn't recommend coming here. They have ice cream as well and a multitude of flavors including vegan options. There's space to sit outside. The servers are polite but seem over worked and there's not enough trash cans/no recycle bins in the facility. It's a bit of a wait too for the milkshake.

Very pricy for some normal ice cream. They drown it in whipped cream. Very cool for looks and pictures but the taste isn't all that.

This dessert shop is located in a sort of inauspicious looking shopping mall in Madison. It's right next door to Just Love Coffee and a storefront that says it's about to become "Dogtopia." The parking lot is very long and fairly wide; no troubles there. I arrived right after they opened and it was spotless and had that nice, bright, clean scent I associate with freshly mopped floors. I understand it's sometimes annoying to have a customer come in on the early side of opening, but a staff member came out and served me politely. I explained I'd never visited before and she gave me a brief run down of what kind of treat I could build. They have Italian ice, soft serve, and then what they call gelati -- not to be confused as the plural of gelato; this means a mixture of both Italian ice AND soft serve. This seems to be their signature thing. You can build your own gelati by selecting flavors and toppings, or pick from a curated menu of popular combinations. I chose the latter, since it was less intimidating, lol. If I remember correctly, what I got was called an Oreo mud pie. It had cookies and cream Italian ice, vanilla and chocolate swirled soft serve, and crumbled Oreo pieces layered in. I got the smallest size serving and thought the price was reasonable and the serving size satisfying. Overall, I enjoyed this dessert. I definitely liked the soft serve more than the Italian ice, but that doesn't really surprise me; I usually prefer creamier treats. The soft serve was smooth and had a distinct vanilla flavor. The Italian ice was okay; oddly, it had a peculiar minty taste to it, in addition to the faintly chocolatey, faintly creamy cookies and cream vibe. Perhaps it was made in the same machine as a different, minty flavor? Not really sure what caused it, but I didn't dislike it. I appreciated that the staff member asked while I was eating if I was happy with what I got. This seems like a sweet place to bring kids and family members for a unique dessert. Give it a try sometime.

Review is only for atmosphere and service; I was unable to actually try the food because of, well,…read moreservice. Only reason this is a 2 star instead of a 1 -- it's possible the ice cream is good, but I sure didn't get to try it. Located off the main drag of highway in Madison, this is a small chain offering rolled ice cream, milkshakes, cookies, and liege waffles with decadent toppings. It's been here a little while and so I thought I'd stop by for an afternoon treat while waiting to attend an event nearby. I entered into the smallish, narrow space and was immediately struck by how...dead it felt. There was one other customer (or perhaps an owner/manager, though if it was, that's kind of disappointing given my experience). It was kind of dark inside and it smelled weird -- not noxious or anything but a little musty and certainly not a yummy, sweet, ice cream, cookie, or waffle scent like you might expect. I wasn't greeted but I wandered up to the register where an employee was listlessly -- and I mean LISTLESSLY - pushing around a few sad ice cream rolls. Every other time I've watched ice cream get rolled the worker has almost been like a hibachi chef, rapidly cutting, dicing, rolling, and flipping. This reminded me of picking a scab. I said hello; I don't remember if the young female employee said anything back, she might've muttered an acknowledgement but it definitely wasn't a warm welcome. Having never been here before, I was a little unclear on the process (eg, what are mix-ins vs toppings; what's available; are there pre-made creations, etc), but she never offered to answer any questions or render assistance, even as I stood for several minutes gazing up at the menu. All I heard from her for a while - as she continued to listlessly scrape the ice cream around - were several very loud, gnarly-sounding sniffles. They were bad enough that I started to feel concerned she was sick. These concerns were further worsened by the fact she wasn't wearing gloves. While that thought flickered through my mind, I abruptly heard her say, "I'm sorry." I assumed she was talking to me since I'd been waiting for a while, and so I reflexively said, "You're fine!" I quickly realized she wasn't speaking to me at all and was instead having a conversation on the phone through the headphones she was wearing. Nice. This went on for another minute or two -- it was a fairly personal conversation and she seemed to be consoling someone on the other end -- and I just decided it wasn't worth the hassle and frustration. Y'all know I try my best to be very forgiving of service and such but this was a bridge too far for me. I had read reviews prior to coming here about service being bad and I thought surely people were overreacting or being entitled but now I don't think so. Perhaps the product is good, but you'll be hard-pressed to sell much of it if employees aren't even willing to make it for customers.
