I'm heading back home from a business trip and was in search of something healthy for the road trip. I googled healthy food options in the area, this place popped up and was conveniently located on the way. They have plenty of options to choose from (Drinks, Juices & Shakes). The owner was such a delight, we talked and cut up the entire time he was making my shake. A cheerfully positive guy. He brightened my morning and I didn't even know that was on the menu Highly recommend.

That is, without going corporate or lousy. Or both. (Looking at you, Peet's!) Where GS coffee is rowdy and expressive, Angel's is calmer and more familiar, yet still flavorful and robust. GS's baristas are, uh, Bohemian? as my parents would say; Angel's entirely suburban. GS has lots of room to sit and stay awhile, while Angel's Island has a small indoor space but features its efficient and well-used drive-thru. GS has excellent pastries. Angel's has good ones, but clearly relies on its coffee and convenience. Both are great. Depends on what you're looking for and, for sure, where you are. Even "light sweet" was too sweet. It's quite understandable, though, southerners basically bathes in sweet tea. I've since learned to ask for "barely sweet".
